Absolutely fantastic. I know this - as whenever I "see" someone play on RUclips and then walk away from the screen and then just listen - if it still sounds like music; it's good. It doesn't always work this way and I'm thinking timing and 'swing' is the key. Well done. Cheers! R
I got the same archtop you have .almost a twin sister but unfortunately I am not as a good player as you are ..great playing..best regards from Casablanca Morocco.
@GeddyLeeYYZ Thank you so much for the comment, I really appreciate it! I've got a whole bunch of songs and ideas for videos just need the time!! Between young child, teaching and working on music for other people I can't seem to get to my own stuff, but will soon. All the best, Chris
@JimmyB386 Hi and thank you for the kind comments. For this video I recorded straight into the computer and added a touch of reverb. The guitar is an Aria Jazz guitar, quite an affordable guitar but I love it! I have a Gibson but prefer to play this most of the time. Sounds great in any amp and even going straight into a PA. I do usually use a Fender Twin amp live.
You sound Great! I hear a lot of Howard Roberts and practicing in your playing. Do you mind telling what kind of set up (Guitar and amp) you use etc.... Thanks!
Chris, have the same guitar, with same color. Are those pickups stock? Was thinking of changing at least the neck p/u with something thick and mellow, like a Fralin P-92, but maybe the stock will be okay? Great playing, btw!- Chuck
@@suebevell4347 apologies for the really late response! I haven’t checked in on videos for a long time. Yes, pickups stock. Guitar is as came from the shop
@@ChrisKomGuitar Thanks. Funnily enough I saw your video posted on a jazz guitar forum. Someone thought it was an FA700 but the thread was a bit confusing! Great performance btw!
Wow ... that is simply brilliant, kudos Chris!
Love it and the sound of the guitar is sublime - let's have more vidoes as you do justice to these great songs. Terrific arrangement.
Rocking, loved the walking bass through out.

I have the FA 71 (like Jim Mullen!). Is it the same as the 70 but just with different pickups? Thanks.
