There is nothing hard about driving any CDL regulated vehicle. If you can drive a standard transmission on a regular Class D licensed vehicle, then you can drive a manual transmission CDL regulated, doesn't matter if its 8 or is its 18 gears. I also believe that if you want to get ANY class license, you should be required to take the driving portion of the test in a manual transmission vehicle OR they should provide a license with more restrictions if the individual took their test using an automatic transmission since they are by far less safe to operate compared to manual/standard. A good solution to teach newer generations how to drive using manual transmissions especially if the family doesn't own a manual transmission vehicle, would be to use the AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) that most newer vehicles have. On automatic cars with AMT, you can move your gear selector/shifter over to the AMT/Manumatic mode and teach your children how to shift using sound,, feeling, and vision when looking at the RPM all while modulating the gas pedal to really get the feel of a manual transmission. You can go as far as popping the shifter into AMT modes neutral and practice using the gas pedal as a clutch as long as it is in a controlled environment. If you can drive with a standard and a AMT Non-commercial vehicle then you can learn to drive any manual transmission vehicle with a high GVWR that requires you to save RPM's by splitting gears. If you get a piece of paper and write out an I-H so it has 3 vertical lines with 1 horizontal line going through the middle instead of 2 vertical lines. In most 18 speed transmissions, starting at the middle horizontal line from top to bottom, left to right, is your H pattern which has 4 full completions of the H pattern worth of gears making it 16 forward gears in just the H. Directly left of your H is the remaining I- which starting at the top to bottom is Top: 2 gears for Reverse and Bottom: 2 gears for LOW (Super Low) Forward. Switching gears inst just a quick clutch in + shift up/down, you have whats called a Range Selector switch on your shift lever that has an Up & Down position. With it down you can switch from any Low gear on I- up to gear 4 (first complete H) before you have to flip the switch up in order for gears 5-8 (Next complete H) to unlock. The same goes for down shifting, keep switch up for 8-5, switch down for 4-1. There is also another switch on the shift lever called the Splitter Switch which is usually grey in 18-speed, blue in 15-speed, and red in 13-speed, while being non-existent in 10-speed & have no idea about super10's. A splitter Switch is used to select your low or high in whatever gear you are in. The best way to look at it is instead of going straight from gear 1 to gear 2, you go gear 1 low, to gear 1.5 high, then go back low when shifting up to gear 2 making it 2 low, then go 2.5 with the Splitter Switch making it a a high 2 or a 2.5. The Splitter Switch splits gears 1-8 all the way up adding the extra 0.5 to each gear which is how you get your 16 forward gears in the H pattern, excluding the 2 Low (Super Lows) gears in the I- which is how you get the 18 speed transmission. Learning it is just practice and isn't hard at all. The hardest (not actually that hard) thing about CDL licenses is getting EVERY endorsement having your license read like CLASS: A, END:D or T, N P S, H or X, and REST:NONE as well as a no smile photo. If we are being honest, top teir CDL license (like the one mentioned) doesn't even compare to getting a Bachelors as far as time & intelligence. Moral of the story... Nice job editing! When I saw them busting the hose apart it reminded me of two jobs years ago. One was at a college, and they had to run the hose through their library to get to the spot they were placing the concrete (some fancy interior columns). Even with all the precautions, plastic, tarps, and so on... one section of hose burst, and concrete went everywhere. Huge mess but no one was hurt. The second wasn't so funny. My friend was running a 38m boom when a hose burst and cost him his right eye. No safety glasses and it caught him right in the face. Even though that's extremely rare, I'm always leery around them now.
I'm a pumper we would be a perfect match 😅 That was cool of you to protect that corner for him! I've never had a driver do that for me ever! Then again, I set up better! You are very good, you do a lot of small things that helps us pump much better!

Lexie - Your thumbnails, video editing, text/photo overlays, and especially the sound effects (adding some comedy), "Es muy buena"! You are becoming a good story teller. The low angle gear shifting scenes were also good! I see that some of the camera shots are reversed or backwards because you are using the phone's front facing camera. You can fix that later or 'flip it' in a laptop video editing software so it's normal video (not backwards). Other option, before you shoot video, in the phone's camera settings, you can make video shoot normal. Research on internet, How-to's ... but do not worry about it. With time & practice, you will develop into a more talented content creator 🎬🎥😎

Employee of the month! !!!!
Very cool, you got it! I barely passed my CDL and did some training driving a stick shift crane truck. For a newb like myself with no experience it was pretty hard.😅
You have awesome work ethic. Definitely doing the trade proud
I only know like 3 people around this age group that are really getting after it. Keep grinding thank you for your hard work.
Everything you touch turns to gold nice to see your work and what you create with so much care it should be lexxi concrete they would sell more yards
Good job Lexi! You know how to drive that big truck. Wow! Yer a pro bro!😎
You get it Lexi shout to you and yours much love on this journey!
That cool you can drive that big monster in the city. I love pov of you shifting those gears.
Great driving and editing of the videos too! Fun to watch
the pump had room in front to move ahead and if you were 10 feet furter back vehicles could have gotten by as on your left side it would have been driveways thereby creating space. positioning is everything in cities especially. good video and i enjoy your content too.
Adding extra water in hopper at beggining of pour and just before emptying on a round trip helps not get plugged in hose.
Nice job! You actually care about your job, I know other people older then you that would stand there and look at it and not do anything to try to prevent that like you did.
You seem to enjoy your job and I just have seen about 2 videos. They give me confidence in doing things I doubt myself to. You may not know but you’ll definitely be a great instructor or more!
Just started watching your videos and now my RUclips recommended is all about concrete. Kinda funny but it did show me some company that is making prefabricated concrete houses that was pretty interesting.
Awesome Workwomanship 👍👏👌U R Amazing in your videos Keep up the GREAT JOB 👏
Lexie I'm learning Spanish and it was fun to hear you speak in Spanish to the workers and be able to understand most of what you all were saying haha
You can have a 5 inch slump mix at the truck and have it come out of the end of hose like presto logs if hose is in the sun.
New subscribers here, its a different prospective watching the delivery part. Thanks! Great attitude and content!
Cheers to Lexie!!!
You seem to have grown up around trucks, work ethics, etc. 🎉🎉🎉
Always be aware so to try to avoid ignorant, arogant people in many suits and places; compunded by IG attitudes and all heavily influenced by, "We Force Behaviours" 😢
Yes it was a truck show at the irwindale speedway, on sat and sun. Its was a good show, did you go? There have been a couple of mixers at the show in the past. Nice to see a girl driving truck!
There are quite a few female mixer drivers where I worked in California.
That’s kew. I think you’re making cement truck driving kewl again.
the videos are getting better and better
Camera angle of shifting gears on point! and to those giving you the business of incorrectly parking, look at them like "NOT MY PROBLEM!" lol Thanks for Sharing Lexie p.s. have you upgraded your camera?
Gotta love the hustle 12:55
thats literally me
that was pretty gnarly when that hose blew apart. a lot of weight and pressure, could've pretty easily taken someone's leg off or worse. good on you for keeping your distance.
i find find this fun and interesting to watch, i love driving them big trucks miss driving them but thank you for sharing your jurney realy enjoying your channel
It's crazy to me how much trailer pumps are used in the bigger cities. We use ours a decent amount but mostly the booms.
Loving the vids. I would help my brother pump in the early 2000s was fun never know wer we end up all over valley near beaches or Beverly hills, it was always an adventure. Ur vids take me back to good times. N the cement driver all cool guys. Safe adventures
This is some good chill content I respect the work 🫡
I love to hear you speaking Spanish hahaha it’s sounds so nice
I liked the short montage intro it was pretty quick and breezy ❤️
Lexie, mucho exito con canal 👍 me gusta mirar tus videos👏👏, saludos desde Portland Oregon 💯
