    The hardest part is being a low volatility player. It’s easy to get sucked into chasing a win no matter what machine is being played. I’ve talked to many players who say “ yeah, I’ll go home when I run out of money”. It’s more common than not it seems. Thanks for more encouragement to maintain sanity in a truly insane environment… a casino.

      I remember my first time playing Pinball, this happened to me, I set a $100 limit on a $1 3Credit machine and lost it fast and then played another $50 and still couldn't hit the bonus. Never again, i've gotten better at bankroll management.

      I don't set a stop loss. What I bring to the casino is my stop loss. If I'm only willing to lose $100 then why bother putting $200 in and leaving when I'm down $100. Just put in $100 to begin with.

      @ovo_faygss1440 yes I agree I walk it with 100-200 dollars debit card stays in the car I walk in if I lose it oh well but once I win what I walk in with 100-200 I put that cash in my wallet leave it there and play on house money if I win with it cool if not I walk out free and clear

    Everyone should remember that payback percentage that are reported by the casino include big major jackpots so unless you are lucky and hit a jackpot, your payback percentage is 70-80% meaning if you put $1K into a machine you will be expected to lose $200-$300.

    Great advice as always Cowboy Slots! I think it's important to also pace yourself during your gambling trip/session. Whenever my wife and I go on a trip, I make it a point to plan meals, shows, spa sessions, drinks by the pool, drink at the bar, ect. Those become welcome breaks to slow the money bleed sometimes. While all those things cost money, it is usually cheaper than two people gambling at the same time. Another tip I would add is setting your various budgets. Example, what I am willing to put in this slot machine, and at what point will I cash out. And if I win a decent line hit, what is my new cash out. This requires lots of discipline, and it's very easy to forget the original plan and lose everything.

  • @ascent_engine
    @ascent_engine Год назад +30

    The problem is that it's hard to double your bankroll with slow and steady wins, even with machines like double diamond. Eventually the slow and steady losses bleed you dry before you hit anything big enough to double up unless you're on an absolute heater with the moderate payout sized hits. But yea definitely good game for free play (and video poker with a good paytable).

    Went into casino with $200... Lost it. Went to the low volatile machine that I know pays well. Sat down, last $30 in hand (took another $100 out mind you), did $2 bet. Red screen right away, bam $80. Selected max bet ($20), three hits in, red screened, went up to $400, and ultimately ended the night with $2,000 and walked out.

    Won $6k on Double Gold at Mirage last Sunday at 1am. $5 denom $15 bet.
    Wasted a lot of money on penny slots and decided to hit $5 denom with my last $300. The $5 denom games have saved me several times. However, regardless of the type of game, it’s still gambling and IT’S ALL RANDOM! Good luck to us all!

    One of the hardest things I've dealt with. Is once u lose so much money. You think, I gotta get that money back. Then end up in twice as much trouble as you were to begin with. Basically, only gamble money that you are comfortable with losing. Ask yourself, if I lose this money. Will I be ok? Don't let your anger or emotions guide your decision making/betting! You'll end up in a bad spot!

    Heres what I learned so far.
    Now, while the video slots are commonly highly volatile, there are very few video slot entries like Thunder Cash, White Orchid, Miss Red, and Rich and Wild.
    Low Volatility Slots are generally more favorable, although you might have to be careful because when you hit a hit a hand pay, that's gonna HAVE to come out of your pocket during tax season, and this is also where setting a stopping point in your mind can be a GOOD technique, it's not just a money saver in the heat of the moment, but it's good money management for tax season, and Future Bank Roll Building for Long Term, especially if you tend to visit Casinos frequently.

  • @mikepark1219
    @mikepark1219 4 месяца назад +1

    Great tips! However, low volatile means nothing if you just have bad timing/luck where you can’t hit anything at all during multiple sessions between breaks and days.
    It’s possible for a player to play 20 low volatile high limit machines and take 100 spins each and only hit mixed bars or cherries once in awhile.
    After writing the above 9 days ago, I went to a casino today and started my session playing high limit low volatile 3 reel slots at $5/spin $200 per machine and lost 8 machines straight for a loss of $1,600: 2 Triple Stars, 2 Triple Diamond, 2 Double Diamond, 2 Double Diamond Deluxe. After this loss, I put just $100 into higher volatilite 5X Pay and doubled to $200 then quit playing low volatile slots for the rest of the day. I recouped ~$400 playing the newer higher volatile slots losing $1,100 for the day. It's all luck and timing.

    • @CowboySlots
      @CowboySlots  11 дней назад

      The odds are set by the jurisdiction. When machines are ordered they have a jurisdiction chip in them that has pre-set odds choices specific for that governing agency. So for example if you have two casinos but they are both under the same tribe, they would have the same chip. But if your comparing say a casino in New Mexico to one in Wyoming then the governing bodies can have different rules. It’s important to remember however that “odds” are over the long term and don’t affect a single player in their session.

    If any machine has a chance of hitting a jackpot on any spin. Wouldn't your chance to hit one be as good on that machine as any other?

    • @4jp
      @4jp Год назад +2

      No, because the probability of winning the top line award on each games is going to be different. The probability of hitting a jackpot on Double Diamond Deluxe is around 1 in 46,000. The game has 72 virtual stops per reel and 8 ways to make the jackpot combination. Megabucks, on the the opposite end of the spectrum, has 368 virtual stops per reel and 1 way to make the top prize. Odds of winning: around 1 in 50 million.
      This is why volatility matters. Lower volatility games pay a lot less for their "big" prizes, but those prizes are much more common (though still very, very rare).

    I have watched this channel religiously for a long while I have one question for absolutely anybody I was at a casino in Nevada once a guy hit a huge jack pot was paid out then he continued on about 10 mins later another big jackpot mins you he was playing like 25 dollars a spin they again paid him and some guy in a suit came up unplugged the machine next day the machine was gone was the just a coincidence or was the machine defective kinda curious

    • @CowboySlots
      @CowboySlots  Год назад

      The machine would not have been defective. Since there are many elements missing from the story I can’t conclude a reason. However casinos do not just remove a machine for paying too much. Machines can hit huge back to back, that’s part of randomness and sheer luck. Depending on the game there is one reason I could conclude and that is if the game had a progressive. NV state law doesn’t allow for a machine to be taken out of service with a large progressive until either the progressive is hit or the full amount is moved to another machine. If the player in question hit a progressive, the casino may have been waiting for that point to take the unit out of service.
