nice one lads👍its a special location.still enjoyed my camp there even though i never slept a wink (blowing a gale) the durstons are becoming popular. cheers 👍
@@thegeordiefellwalker8878 yeah, just like you, most Sundays for 50 to 80 miles when I’m not out wild camping. I usually slog myself to death a couple of times a week on the Watt Bike or Rollers in the garage n’all. Means I can eat like a hoss 🐎
Cracking sunset Timelapse Steve 👌, great place up there mate, I’ve never camped there but I’ve done some walks up, getting camping meals on ya birthday’s beats getting pants & socks in my opinion 👍 they are good ones them, especially the bigger field meals, cannot beat seeing the stars etc on a camp when the skys are clear, class mate, how did Kieron find the xmid1 ? atb Mick 👍
Cheers mick. He said he really liked using it. Much more solid and easier to Pitch than his Lanshan 2. It was a great location to camp, especially when the conditions are so clear. All the best mate 👍
Epic Steve. One of my favourite places on the planet. That crag is the Whin Sill. It’s an intrusive igneous feature which also outcrops at Hadrian’s wall and Lindisfarne. The Nick was carved by ice and glacial melt waters. My dad grew up in Appleby. Btw is that Thiny thing good and does it stop the sleep mat slipping? Atb
Hi Pete. Yeah, it’s and incredible place. I couldn’t stop staring at it. The thinny definitely seems to stop my mat sliding about. You could probably use it as a sit mat as well. Although I still carry a sit mat for some reason 🤔 All the best Pete 👍
It’s the first time I slept in the 2P and it’s huge inside for 1 person. Perfect for those dark winter nights where you spending a long time in the tent. I think Ciaran found the 1 person very comfortable but much more difficult to strip off and get changed etc. if I were getting one I’d be aiming to keep weight to a minimum and probably go for 1P despite the luxurious space of the 2P. If you don’t mind humping a few more grams the 2P is the one To go for. Hope that helps.
Cracking film Steve and some sage advice on procuring cheaper camping meals. Beautiful skies and light 👍🏻. Does your dad know you’ve got his tent by the way?
Love that episode Stephen, High Cup is one of my favourite places on the Pennines

Great video. How did you both find the tents? Size difference and comfort etc
