I enjoyed traveling with you this morning :-) I like the pace of your videos - it gives me time to be snoopy and look at things like the bottle kilns and so forth.
Becky Holmes Hi Becky, the tunnel wasn’t too bad, but definitely could see if you were a claustrophobic it could have an effect on you. Best to watch from your armchair! Thanks for watching 👍x
Mark NB Last Derbyshire Miner Hi Mark, hope you’re good and your foot is on the mend. We loved it at Westport Lake, some lovely walks and yes, we found the Aldi and managed a fairly large shop😂xx
Great footage - Only just missed you . My boat was out of the water at Stoke in your vid and i went through Harecastle on the Thursday. Nice bit of canal if a bit red further up.
Phil Munro Ahhh, we didn’t hang around too much in Stoke as we were on our way up to the Ribble Link. Will definitely be going back though for a proper explore. Yes it is pretty red once you get through the tunnel. Thanks for watching 👍
Kath Roscoe Hello Kath, we just didn’t get time to the Caldon this time as we had the a Ribble Link booked, so we’re high tailing up to the the Lancaster. Will definitely be back to do it. Harecastle wasn’t too bad , pretty low in places though. Thanks for watching 👍
THE UNUSUAL SHAPE STRUCTURES WERE BOTTLE KILNS USED FOR FIRING POTTERY....USED TO BE LOTS OF THEM ESPECIALLY IN THE POTTERIES....BUT MANY HAVE BEEN DEMOLISHED NOW SO QUITE A RARE SIGHT....
Enjoy your videos , always calm and peaceful, and your boat looks fantastic. Hope to do the same one day. When you stay in one place how does your power hold up? What is your power made up of.
tracey gilston Hello Tracey, thanks for watching. We have Solar and also a diesel generator. The solar is sufficient during May to September but not enough in the winter. Check out our website www.ournarrowboatquest where we have all of our power consumption and generation.
