Great strip down video of the XTI-50. Very surprised to see the need for so many specialist tools required. I look forward to the reassembly video ….. Thanks for posting this 👍
Great video gents !!! It’s amazing how many custom tools are needed for a competition rifle. You’d think the manufacturer would want you to have maximum adjustability for competitive purposes. Amazing stuff guys.
@@TurkishTinkerer I agree I think it's a piss take really they want more money off u to service it bi annually when it's a relatively easy job to do yourself
Oh yes guys absolutely brilliant video no second guessing now 👏 Very very helpful as always to air rifle owners who aren’t shy doing there own maintenance (safely obviously) I thank you on behalf of all XTI OWNERS 👍 Very much looking forward to second instalment 😉 Love all the custom in-house made tools jake 😎
Interesting to see it stripped down, looks to be reasonably well made. The trigger mechanism looks to be sturdy enough. Pin spanners are a pain to get hold of but not insurmountable for someone with your skill set. 👍👍. Have a good Christmas mate.
Great video as usual !!! Just received my xti-50, would it be possible to purchase all these tools? Would be great since I have been servicing all my edguns, taipans, fxs, etc myself for years and will soon have to dismantle my xti. Thanks again for these excellent videos👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Btw although its a very well made expensive rifle, we can clearly notice discoloration of the bluing on certain parts that have some friction. They should have finely polished these parts to avoid that. Was thinking of doing that myself the same way I polish to a mirror finish most of my other rifles internals. Any advice? Tx again for these great, simple, precise videos which are by far the best on internet !! Respect!
Could have done with this yesterday! I stripped mine down last night to have a good poke around. The stabiliser reset pin was missing from mine meaning it has not been functioning at all.
@@sub12airgunnersI remember seeing a comment from airarms basically saying it takes so long to build an xti 50 due to the endless testing and setup when in the factory. I don't quite think that's true now. However the rest of my internals are in brilliant condition and it looks to be a fairly robust design when it comes to wear and temperature changes. Accuracy wise it is brilliant so I can't fault it in that way. Just a bit of shoddy qc which isn't acceptable on a 3k + target rifle.
oooo very interesting mate . that reg is looks the same as the one in my s510 tactical of which i have never seen one taken apart so happy days for me 👍 interesting stabiliser unit nothing like the anne ones i have seen . somewhat more agricultural i would say . great video my friend .
It's a very well made rifle, I never really looked at them before. I just thought they were an s400 in a fancy stock, I think this is a far superior rifle, and I like all the special tools you need for the rifle. Did you make the special tools or get them from AirArms? Great job 👍
I agree with most posts far to many o rings and seals , no idea why the air gauge is fitted to a removable boss with what 4 o rings , I wounded how many there are in something like a LG 110 ?
It's on the boss so the gauge is always upright and it also allows you to swap the side of the action it's on if you wanted to make a mix and match handed action and stock. Rh action in a lefty stock etc. 😉
Couldnt you just use snap ring plyers instead of half of those tools? Love the videos keep putting them up. I enjoys taking my guns apart more than shooting then
Is there a link to purchase the custom tools used for the disassembly as I'm sure there is a few of us that would be interested in them. mainly to save some money and service it ourselves 😉👍
Far to many oring's or fail safe's as Airarms call them, not very user friendly to service yourselves once the warranty is up either , will Airarms sell joe public the tool's needed to service rifles once there out or warranty / i don't think so .
@@sub12airgunners yes, same as the R reg found in the S510 ‘R’ and Ultimate Sporter. Very poor design, sealing face designed to fail, Belleville stack too short and stout meaning it’s hard to adjust and goes out of adjustment easily. Flimsy body that’s prone to distortion.

thanks Lee, you could getaway with snap ring pliers for a lot but on a £3300 gun we decided to make tools😁
the one tutorial ive been waiting for more than any other is airarms worth the money
I wouldn't trade my 9015 for one!! 😊
Anshutz 9015hp is stunning air rifle it’s just a touch pricey at £4000
the 9015 HP BR you can get for around £2000 so a good £1300 less than the XTi
that would be up to the person buying for me no but many would disagree 😀
Thank you for the advice and merry Christmas

I'm surprised there wasn't any anti tamper gubbins. Or had your friend already dealt with it? Interesting to see what the new reg looks like. 👍
no A/T to speak of apart for all the pin bolts if you can call them A/T's

Could have done with this yesterday! I stripped mine down last night to have a good poke around. The stabiliser reset pin was missing from mine meaning it has not been functioning at all.
that's interesting, this one it wasn't tapped deep enough so it has never engaged with the stab 🤔

yep same reg as the 510 👍 not to sure about the stab at the moment 🤔
Thanks for posting this one Jake. Curious, did you find the action internals overly lubed? Great air rifle.
it wasn't to bad they had gone a bit mad in places it just didn't look like it had been put together in a clean environment😮

How is it possible that most German air rifles can be assembled with four hex keys?
yes they do like to make it hard for everybody 😀😀
You need 2 special tools just to open the gauge 😱
to be fair you could do most with snap ring pliers 😁
Dang! They really bothered to go far with this rifle's needs for custom tools..😁😁

Great video guys. I can’t believe Air Arms are still using that pitifully badly designed reg, it’s certainly a weak spot!
the 510 reg or looks just like it, not had much to do with 510 regs

it's close but the impact still take the cup 😀😀
@sub12airgunners 🤣🤣
After watching this, how many idiots are going mess with their regulator ?
you pretty much have to gut the gun to get to it so i think that will slow them down 😀
