    :-: I am Currently working on the same review.. It's a great scooter.. I got mine 2 Months ago and have put over 1k miles on it.. Beef heavy duty scooter.. Capable of jumps and wheelies. I did recently upgrade to a 5600 watt scooter but I still take the Mate out for a ride.
    Edit: Great Review.. I was making one cause I couldn't find the info I wanted or see someone review this scooter.. Well Done Sir.

      bruh a week after receiving this scooter I also ordered a 5600W scooter out of impulse. i also wanted a scooter that climbs hills effortlessly and although the mate can climb hills it's not as satisfying as 5600W

    • @Aerochalklate

      @@Aerochalklate :-: Tbh The Mate is still a joy to ride, it's just once you cross over that 800w single motor to just a dual motor (Not even counting more watts) it's just a different feel and enjoyment.. I still ride my mate and it's still fun. I Just have more fun on my G6 5600watt scooter.

    Excellent video! I'm considering a Circooter ,can't decide between the Mate or Raptor ,I'm debating if the extra $200 for Raptor is worth it. Also if 800 watts is enough for moderate hill climbing for 200+ lb person. Any thoughts? Thanks

    I bought this one for about $550. The first one that came had some problems with the display. However, my replacement scooter has been flawless! I really like how bright the light is at night. I do a lot of nigh cruising and I impresses how zippy it can be.

    I have had this scooter for a couple of months now and it definitely punches above its weight on price vs. quality. You get a lot out of this vs. scooters at the same price point. It is built extremely well, although it just an OEM scooter frame, it still feels very sturdy.
    I also agree with you about the suspension though. Circooter is marketing this as an off-road scooter but it is a VERY bumpy ride. My commute takes me over a fairly long wooden bridge and I feel like I'm going to shake myself apart every time I go over it. I also don't like the lack of a latch to the backplate when it's folded. If they resolved those issues this guy would be the unquestioned king of value for money I think. Most scooters at this price point have a 400-500W motor and this guy has an 800W motor. Makes a big difference.
    I only bought mine in Feb 2023 and mine didn't come with turn signals and side lights so you came out ahead waiting for awhile. :)

    • @JaksIRL
      @JaksIRL Год назад +1

      @@pamelasantini8783 I emailed them about it and they said that the suspension can't be adjusted. Maybe someone who is really handy with scooter mechanics could tinker with them, but I could find no obvious adjusting points. Still, for the money it is a great scooter in my opinion. I did sell mine and the only real reason I had was that my commute has some bumpy parts.

    • @pamelasantini8783

      I have this scooter too ... and agree with you that it's a great machine except for that stiff suspension. While they built it to boast about a 440Lb rider limit they are disappointing the other 99.9% of their buyers. How many 400 lb scooter riders you seen lately? Weird decision on their part if you ask me.

      Based on the performance reported here, I question the 800W advertised power. I have a KuKirin M4 (with 48V, 12.5AH battery), with 500W nominal power rating (800W peak power) and it gets similar top speed (43kmph with GPS; 45 kmph indicated) on flat bike path (no wind, ambient around 28C), as well as similar range ~30+km for someone 185cm/106kgs. Pretty sure the marketers are pushing the peak power figure and not the nominal figure.

    • @jb678901
      @jb678901 Год назад +1

      @@pamelasantini8783 There are mods on youtube where replacement of rear shocks with aftermarket shocks (120mm or 125mm) has been done...but this will require additional spacers (5x8mm washers per strut mount) to clear the fender. Replacing the factory shocks (red ones at 115 mm) with aftermarket ones (usually US$20~30 per shock) does increase the rear clearance, but this also causes the deck to rise toward the rear partially.
      I have a similarly spec'd KuKirin M4 with the same rear suspension. However, for my front shocks (with EXTERNAL springs), I can replace with slightly longer shocks to level out the deck and increase overall deck clearance by about 7 mm's. Not sure if this is possible with the Mate's front-fork suspension system.

    Hi Paul I wanna tysm because of your review videos I made up my mind to buy this e-scooter. Its been 24 days since I bought mine for $560 total and ITS WELL WORTH the money! Its 25mph gps tested so that's way faster than my my previous 2 15mph ones 😅 the front got a facelift for a swingarm spring suspension design now and it weights 53lbs compared to the previous 48lbs. This thing is very solid and came fully assembled. I only had to pull the handlebars up. The lights are freaking amazing on this thing! Very visible. I have the app but only used it 2 times. Highly recommend 👍🏾 but now that I've watched more scooter videos I already wanna get something faster 😭

If you are a heavy user, will be commuting on it daily for lets say 10 miles one way and 10 miles back from work every day, and you will be traveling at higher speeds like 20-28mph most of the way and on the street / bike lane than i can see how u would benefit from air tires. Me i dont like going top speed 25mph-28mph and i dont like riding on the street i avoid it most i can, i feel safer riding 12-15mph on the sidewalk, but i mostly do local short trips so i love my solid tires for that.

    Let me tell you about experience before you buy this. I ordered 3 for a holiday sale they had a month before Christmas. Well one of them came in broken but they only have a 30 day warranty so by time I opened it and found it broken the warranty is already expired. Now I have to try and fix it myself....that's some shady business practices...that knew people buying wouldn't be opening it till Christmas.

  • @jb678901
    @jb678901 Год назад

    I bought the KuKirin M4 which looks very similar in spec (same battery, 12.5AH, 48V) but with an advertised 500W (nominal) motor- 800W peak power. Different front suspension with the springs external to the strut shock (I prefer the look of the CirCooter but am neutral on performance difference); else same in the rear. The stem locking mechanism on mine seems to be an upgraded variant from past M4's (which were very similar to this CirCooter Mate mechanism). Mine also has an integrated trigger throttle with display, which allows me to operate both throttle and brake with one hand, without moving my hand to adjust finger position. Mine also has a start key and separate battery voltage display. Same headlight. Same sidelights. Same rear fender light. Same adjustable stem with foldable handlebar.
    Price was ~US$440 delivered from EU warehouse to Switzerland within 10 days from order; plus $31 import duties. Fantastic value, imo.
    I am 6'1(185cm) and 233# (106kg)...this scooter manages the hilly areas where I live with aplomb (usually they are in the 10-15 degree range...sometimes steepening to 20 degrees for short distances). It can reach displayed speed of 45kmph (28mph) on a flat field/path while in Mode 3 (turbo mode); with GPS it seems to actually be up to 43 kmph.
    Just did a 1.75 hour tour around the village and countryside, clocking 28km travel distance (mode 2, max 20kmph legal limit) and leaving the battery at 45.6V remaining charge [Max is 54V, mid is 48V, so I assume the minimum is around 42V]. I see no issue with this scooter getting 30KM (18.75 Miles) on a full charge with me onboard; and in flat countryside with a person ~65kg...I would imagine that the advertised range is do-able or at least damn close to it.
    I did uses SLIME sealant for the tubed tires, to avoid flats. I also added silicone sealant to any areas around the deck housing that could introduce water from rain/puddles.
    Bottom line, with some minor mods (SLIME for tires, Silicone for deck) this scooter is IMO an excellent commuter and decent for groomed trails. However, it is not an off-road scooter...for such activity I would personally go for something with more robust suspension, better ground clearance, better off-road tires, AND DUAL motors (with 60V or more).
