its like cuban social club music with a touch of funeral music.sometimes it feels a little whimsical and a little romantic, sometimes it feels a little tropical, and then there is the unmistakable hint of socialist/communista southern america.....then when its starting to feel like a long winded boring a love story suddenly it twist of into a whimsical matter of factly/i told u so kind of vibes....
very cool, i might have to get a $300 seinheisser headphones to appreciate this better.

Just heard Roy Hargrove's 1999 version of What A Wonderful Life with Clarke Terry there listening...pretty special...Jean's flugelhorn remined me of the one Hargrove was playing. I started playing flugelhorn after hearing Mangione play Feels So Good...ha! I have a silver Yamaha i really enjoy.

The Yamaha website says Jean plays a YTR8335LA Trumpet, and a YFH8315G Flugelhorn.
The Yamaha YFH610G would have a different third valve trigger and Silver on the valve tubes.
