yo dude great match! I'm down in Marin and would love to hit sometime. I'm also a 4.5, maybe I could play saucy too? haha might be good content for the channel. anyway, good vibes and good playing here! cheers!
Bro, that would be great! Always happy to meet more players in the area. Hit me up on the IG and we'll figure something out! We'll get you some matches for the channel!
the 4.5 guy was smart. Put pressure on the inferior player. Unless one of their few + skills are lobs, it's easy points. That guy Saucy's first serve was crazy consistent with his first serve
Yea, Saucy has some great intuition on court. Feel like he's a few steps ahead every time we play. I know I need some lob work too, would have helped a lot here. Especially considering how many points he can win just with his first serve. Thanks for the comment.
@@KingsClubTennis The backhand slice is weak because Your strings are all coming more under the bottom of the ball instead of all behind the ball. I come all behind the ball so I can slice all across the body like normal or I can slice low to high as well as a big groundstroke drive. Depends on what slice I want to do just a normal slice going across the body or the big deep penetrating slice all through the court to just zip the ball all through the court with no float at all on the ball. For sometimes I don't want to float the ball and just want to hit it all flat with pace staying low down through the court at 80-100 mph instead of hitting slower floating balls.
@ yea, that makes sense. I’ll need to meet the ball with a bit more contact behind the ball and less underneath. I have a tendency to float them too much. Too easy to attack
When we face better players (or just players that hit harder) we tend to start pushing our forehand to compete with the pace to try and hit it hard back. That's when you start hitting unforced errors. Remember to keep using topspin and brushing up. Don't worry about trying to match his pace. With him having a one-handed backhand, try hitting high, loopy balls to his backhand and rush the net. Also use short, wide angles (with your slower-paced topspin) and get to the net as much as possible to avoid long rallies.
@@Dakan69 absolutely. Great point. I was struggling a bit with timing and start rushing which caused more unforced errors. Definitely can’t be trying to hit that pace back. Would be better to redirect that pace and try to place better. I know I for sure need some more net work too. Have to set myself up for those points to end there. Thanks for the comment.
No way you are 2.9 UTR. I am assuming you are new to UTR or only played few matches against low UTR players. You are easily in between 3.5-4 UTR or even above 4.
Yea, I think it's cause I'm relatively new to match play. First year playing after 10 years off. Now it's just breaking down my technique and getting quicker on the court. Thanks for your comment.

4:05 love five.... 0.0001 seconds later. love thirty 😂
The slice is too high over the net allowing easy putaway of the volley.
@@germanslice Yea, the backhand slice is tough for me. Needs some work for sure. Thanks for the comment. Always appreciate your thoughts.
LMAO 🤣at least I didn't DF entire games away this time
