@@Padelacticoyeah a lot of topspin shots when defending, allowing them to do easy volleys. Use of more lobs then taking met position (like the opponents did) would have probs been abit better

@@nilsdekker3100 rules are rules guys and it’s a tournament. The pros never catch the ball even when it bounces back to the service line and clearly can’t be played
Oh man, WHAT A MATCH!! I swear this match had everything: the miss at 3-2 golden deuce, the replay on that volley ( I am pretty sure there is a guy walking by showing that it was out) but anyway, fair play to you to replay it if you weren't sure at the time and then the comeback in the final tiebreak. I personally love to see this side of you and this type of videos are great entertaining. You've earned a new subscriber and can't wait to see how you and Steven are doing in the next round. Would love to see you play some FIPs. The level there is insane but I think you'll have great matches and experiences there. PS: The music coming in at the end felt very 'tennis brothers' in a positive way. Added a lot to the atmosphere and the dramatic ending.
Both of you played so well my man. Could've gone either way really. P.S. I HATE GOLDEN POINTS EDIT: LET'S GOOOOOOO! Wrote the comment thinking we would lose the super tiebreak hahaha. Can't wait for the next match!
Boys, great game but buy yourself time to let the ball touch the glass and do a great lob. This was like a tennis match. Also After 2 hard balls when they are at the net and they block, after that you can also lob or play chiquita and pressure the net for a volley. Lob is the most important part of padel. It may look boring but if you do it right you keep the net and can volley more.
Great game! Very thrilling to watch! If there’s one thing you could add to your game it could be slower volleys into the fence.. just something I picked up on, but again great video
It was great to see you playing in person. I didn’t say hi but wanted to say love your content and enjoying watching your padel journey. Will say hello next time. Keep up the content and journey mate. Smashing it
Hi, congratulations on the victory! However, at 6-4, 4-3 you made a mistake. On his smash, he caught the ball with his hand without letting it bounce, that’s your point… Even if it might seem unsporting, they need to know the rules 😁.
Usually I don’t fridge unless there’s a big difference in ability but it depends! The courts were nice but took some getting used to - fast when you smash but kind of slow when you hit chiquitas
Wow nice match. You played good and your partner was a beast. You have still a big room of easy improve like positioning in defense (you stay too much behind on lob) and on smash (you didnt close 2 easy x4 because you didnt do a step ahead)
Superb game. Hopefully in a couple of years time I can get to this standard. Incredible. The only criticism I have is the music volume level and choice of music to go with the video was way off. It’s Padel, not a starving polar bear in Antarctic desperately trying to hunt down and kill a seal. Is there a way we can hear more of the ball being smashed about the court and the players shouting come on or Vamos? Anyway, love the channel 🎾
Really enjoy your videos, personally i prefer more of the game and less commentary. (Nothing against you ofc) Also drop the depressing music i would rather just have sounds of the court instead. Meant in the most positive way😇 keep it up, i wanna go train to spain myself might meet you there someday. Kind regards from Norway
I personally think the commentary is nice, it makes it more personal, if I want to see the best padel game I will watch the Premier padel and not this. The music I don't really care about. But of course I fully respect your comment, but I just thought it would maybe interesting for Louis to hear a different opinion about it
If you would allow a bit of critism, its very clear you're mostly passive in all games and setting up shots etc.. no power or point enders, therefore a left handed aggressive player is not only an option for you but a MUST... so if you wanna be the British Coki thats fine, otherwise you gotta work very hard on being able to finish up easy points instead of hesitating. Love your content
@@y0ke578 Haha thanks I appreciate the support. Have you watched the second round video? I think in the next two matches I was less passive. In this game it felt important to play safe and slow it down because the match was fast. But yeah overall I’d rather be more aggressive (and usually am), but when a match is tense and close sometimes you just focus on consistency. It’s all part of the process and i’ll try to be better with every match 💪🏻
I fully agree en especially on this level you should let in bounce, but at the same time they are still amateurs and louis het his teammate had 0 change of getting it. So if I where in Louis position I wouldn't have claimed the point, but maybe just said something about it against the opponent.
More lobs, you need to hit way more lobs and while doing so, try to hide them. Good tennis players generally have good volleys. Playing mostly low will just increase the tempo and makes defense game way worse than it should be as net players can stand closer without the threat of being passed with lob.
@@sebulban Totally agree! What complicates it in this case are the v low ceilings and the fact that our opponents smash well. But yeah ideally I would hit more, and probably still should have!
@ Just keep on training. I saw that they smashed couple times really well but not too many of them went outside. Lob is the most important shot in padel but you cant really hit them unless you’re relaxed with them. If you fear opponents smashes people tend to leave them too short quite often or hit panic lobs to the back glass 😂 Also, as you probably felt on the match, even though they were hitting some good smashes you were able to recover quite many of them. I would also suggest training on those recoveries. That will give you more confidence on your lobs because you know you can recover smashes if they decide to go for it. When playing is at good level, playing low and hard/semihard can’t hurt the opponent at all and is more in the category of resisting. Chiquitas and lobs are building which leads to attacking/counter attacking. Good luck for the upcoming matches!
yo - nice video. what i realized watching it - look at yourself at the net where your racket is? you have it most of time at stomach/genital level -> i know that you know that this is not the right position... i think you can win 5-10 more points if you put the racket up!
@@PadelacticoI agree with both of you of course you can see that you guys are originally tennis players but that is logical. Maybe some habbits are not the best, but you still have a lot of advantage that you have played tennis. You don't need to play "perfect" padel but just try to play your best game, so if that's maybe a little bit more "playing tennis of a padel court" that's fine, just keep on working to improve the "real" padel skills
