Hope you guys enjoy this one. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section down below! All are welcome!

IT'S BEEN HOW LONG?! NTRP 3.0 vs NTRP 4.5
yo yo yo what is up folks! Great playing
Thank you kind Toilet always appreciate your kind words
2 ONE HANDED BACKHANDS? and one of them is usinga k-factor 90 sq inch racket, is this the 90s?
Haha, yea Saucy loves that racket. Taking a trip back in time for sure. I could get a doubles match with 4 one handers and two lefties if you want. 🤣
yellow shirt guy has a nice backhand, love to see the one handers on court!
Definitely! Effortless out there!
Turn your shoulders more on your FH unit turn.
Yea, been working on getting more rotation. Sluggish moves in the feet. Thanks!
Saucy has like 90% of Federer’s strokes, lefty Fedy 😅
That's hilarious! He would be honored. We have another buddy in the crew that's also modeling his game after Fed. We'll have to get him on the channel soon. Thanks for the comment!
Yea he kicks our ass like Fed would too
The guy in the mustard t-shirt has a pleasing backhand technique, the sound of the ball coming off the string bed is music to my ears.
Thanks for the comment, Rusty! I'm sure Mike would appreciate that. I aspire to have that technique. Maybe someday haha
The sauce boss
The BAWS indeed.
Can't see the difference between you about level. Both are 3.5. I am 3.5 and when I am playing with 4.5, he destroys me every time
That serve was definitely in 😂
he definitely had the pace to get it, just at the net he needs to make sure to keep his racket up and centered in its ready position rather than off to the side like he had it, and also great passing shot on her part
How is she 4.5? No way…
She's 3.5 unfortunately, nowhere close to 4.5
Uh 😫 Ahh 😩 Uh 😫 Ahh 😩
Gunna go ahead and question the 4.5 rting
@@christophersheldon7088 I believe she was coming back from having not played in a while. Thanks for the comment!
It had to be said 😂
pure footwork this sport is. i recommend to not be lazy with the feet sliding and when you slice you attack it. be aggressive with that shot against slow baseliners. defense is great just gotta figure out when to turn it into offense and let the rally build up until that beautiful winner like what you almost did in this clip :)
@@syren760 I appreciate the words! Been trying to analyze these clips of my playing and figure out where I’m falling short. Definitely been seeing a laziness in the footwork. Thanks 🙏
Great Tennis on both sides! You just earned yourself another SUBSCRIBER! Keep up the grind with tennis and RUclips and I can't wait to see more videos 😊
@@Macheeeeto thanks Matthew! Really appreciate that coming from you, man. Hoping to just keep training and get that level up!
@@kingsclubtennis Racquet Preparation is sometimes late and should be early with the ball.. Make sure you keep your body OUT of the pathway of the incoming ball when receiving back the returns. Sometimes you just stand all flatfooted on the court with your body all parked in the way of the incoming ball. You cannot hit the ball clean or finish high if your own body is blocking the pathway of the ball with the racquet then you cannot extend fully into the ball. The result is a being late with cramped finish, bent elbow and balls down into the net or losing power and hitting weak and short sitting up in the court.. On Slice Serves you can bring the arm down to carve the ball to slice it, but on flat serves there should be no arm dragging when hitting the ball...
@@germanslice You're absolutely right. I've been noticing more and more of that cramped finish and it's not good. Been focusing a lot more on light feet and trying to find my timing and spacing. Thanks so much for the comment. My serve is a whole other issue. Constantly battling with DFs there. Auf Wiedersehen!
@@kingsclubtennis Its like my video game I've been making on my computer. You always gonna get ambushed sooner or later.... But first you have to stop sabotaging yourself on the court with bad timing with the ball.. Your timing is terribly late with the ball sometimes . Because you and your friend hit the ball all flat and you're using late timing on these fast flat balls so you are crunching each other all up in your swings on the court when you should be starting off your swings more earlier with the ball the moment the ball is still crossing over the netcord instead of just waiting for the ball to first arrive to you why start the swing more earlier? So that you don't get all squashed up in your swings when hitting around the ball at 100 mph.. SERVING: I saw a couple of doubles faults in this set. For this video didn't show the whole match so I can't tell how many doubles were done. but If you want to improve the ball toss practice doing the one leg serve drill. This drill will show you where the bad tosses are because if the toss is bad you will feel off balance when hitting the ball off one leg. Do not make the mistake of hitting every single ball toss. that is how people develop poor serves. if the toss feels poor or off let it drop to the ground and retoss the ball back up again.
OHBH is killing that guy's return game.
@@burnpittsburgh7036 agreed. rip
what a nice friendly game, actually enjoyable to watch! some tips on the backhand return (since you lost a lot of points with that) 1. Square up your racket face more; racket facing above the net more instead of the sky. 2. remember that the slice motion is up to down, not back to front. 3. Strengthen your shoulder, elbow and grip (especially grip) before you hit the ball. 4. Bend knees a bit more, transferring more weight on the right leg (front leg). 5. Try to make a 90degree (or realistically 120 degrees) angle with your arm/elbow/forehand when slicing. Racket should be 90degrees perpendicular to your forearm as well. Think of it like you are trying to make a square wall with your shoulder, arms and racket. 6. Focus on the ball intensely as you hit it with your slice backhand. Great game and nice slice serve on the T! Keep it up!
I appreciate the information! I've definitely noticed those things since watching this back. In particular I want to find the ball contact cleanly and I'm wondering if I need to scoot back a bit from the base line. I tend to push the line there which gives me less time. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! Cheers!
There's the normal slice backhand which uses the high down to low or all across the body for its motion and floats and hovers the ball which is slow, can fall weak and short if you dont' get enough net clerance hight so around 3-10 high over the net Dosen't really thin the ball all out and sometimes it puts hits thick ugly slow spin which takes forever to get down the court because of all the slow hangtime in the air. So you can get some flat bite but if you try to rip with it, ball will pop up in the air. Contact Point is usually the middle. So this version is more a control slice. But the one I like to use is located more higher up on the racquet at the bottom edge which is the Low to High Motion Version which drives the slice like a big flat penetrating groundstroke drive using pronation of the edge of the racquet instead of brushing the ball manually from the middle so I get more pace, more depth, more penetration and much more flatter deeper lengths through the court. And there's no float on the ball. So the ball dosen't hang or float in the air but just zips all down through the court.
i think it would be nicer if there was more talking aloud of the tactics between points, as i would guess that's what the mics are for. although i also know it's hard sometimes to talk and most of the time self talk can be just a few words/phrases
I like that idea! I've seen some other channels incorporate that before. I'll start trying to do some testing in the next videos! Thanks for watching and leaving the comment!
Dude just in the course of the set you got way better, it was actually kind of scary. You could see that you’ll beat this player pretty soon 😅
Haha, bro you are too kind! I really appreciate that. Just gotta keep grinding!

While tennis is a graceful dance of skill and strategy, butt broth is a repugnant byproduct of bodily function. In tennis, players showcase agility, precision, and mental fortitude, while in butt broth, there is nothing but waste and decay. Tennis courts are pristine arenas of competition, meticulously maintained for the pursuit of excellence, whereas butt broth embodies filth and degradation. To juxtapose the two is to compare the sublime with the grotesque, the elegant with the abhorrent.
This had everything I was looking for, great tennis and barking frogs 🐸😄... well done!
That was entertaining, keep it up!
Thank you so much!!
I spit out my fruit snacks when the tennis ball started talking
Stay in school, kids.

Hey, Nice video! If you are in SF, California we can play sometime! :) Which video editor did you use for adding scores?
Hey! I'm pretty close to the bay, would love to hit! I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my videos. Thanks for watching!
@@kingsclubtennis Let me know when can we play! :) I am mostly open weekday evenings except Fridays. Also, can play on weekend evenings and afternoons.
I wish you could hit shot like that in apex
Good one buddy!
u hit ball gud
Greetings sire, I must say your content is quite enjoyable! I shall look forward to the next rendition of your journey in this exquisite sport of tennis! Cheers!
Thank you, kind sir. I will gladly continue documenting this royal journey and will remain righteous in my pursuit of recreational development!
USTA says NTRP 7.0 is "a world class player who is committed to tournament competition on the international level and whose major source of income is tournament prize winnings." I'm confused by your rankings... but nice play! I watched the whole video
Sorry about the confusion, the 7.5 NTRP is in reference to a combined rating of 3.5 + 4.0. I updated the title accordingly. Thanks for the comment! Maybe eventually tournament prize winnings will be our major source of income but surely not for a while. haha
Epic match brother!
Thank you, Swirly. Been trying to maintain the drive through my shots but gotta stay level headed. Too easy to get caught up in the hits and a tendency to over hit.
Funny, I thought this serve hit the net 7:25 , but it was the guy in the other court smacking the next with his racket. Perfectly timed.
Nice snag on this serve 4:59 You lived to fight another shot and it worked!
Haha, I love to run after a tough shot. Gotta stay in it no matter the cost!
Great rally. What do you feel is the difference between 3.5 vs 4.5? Rally seemed balanced. Does the difference play out in small victories over two sets?
I think what I've found to be as the most considerable difference is how long a 4.0/4.5 can keep a good or bad ball in the court. I as a 3.5 might be able to keep up with their pace and depth for about 4/5 hits on average but then tend to hit an UE and usually would lose the point. I have a tendency to play with a bit of hesitation as not to hit beyond my average margins, which could lead to a poorly placed ball that my opponent could take advantage of easily. Overall I just think I need more hitting practice... after taking a ~10 year break I'm just trying to catch up at this point. I'm at a point now where if I can start to trust my body and hits, things should start to get better. Thanks for the comment!
If you are an adult learner use two hander backhand, one hander too tough, you will just slice.
Good point. I've been really considering it recently!
For Scott: missing a lot of potential acceleration on serve needs more down and up movement For Kevin: try to hit more backhands closed stance to use your legs more
Thanks for the comment, Van! I’ll let the guys know your thoughts!
I will do my best, thanks for the tip :)
This is some great playing by both dudes. Butt broth approved
Thanks BB! I'm sure the guys appreciate it!
Love seeing the fog roll in
It was crazy when it all started hazing up the place. You could feel the air. So thicccc.
Better footwork will help your shot selectiom execution. Obvious but sometimes forgetful.
Absolutely! Always needing reminders. Thanks!
Props on the baseline call at 6-6. #Respect. Your topspin forehand is very impressive. Love how you fire through it vs trying to control the shot manually.
Thanks Kevin! Haha, I just need to find some more consistency. Feels like it's still getting launched a bit long. Might need to work on some better follow through!
What does NTRP stand for? I know what UTR and WTN but I have never heard of NTRP
National Tennis Rating Program! It goes hand in hand with the USTA pointing system. Maybe I should I make a little video about it! Thanks for the question!
Ok Thank you@@kingsclubtennis
