East Anglian Railway Museum

An absolutely fantastic museum to visit, with a lot of potential to be even better in the future. If you or your kids love Thomas the Tank Engine, I would advise taking them here due to the vast amount of Thomas related locomotives and what looks like a Thomas the Tank Engine room open on event days. Even if your're just passing, pop in for a cuppa on the platform and take a trip back to the time of the golden age of steam.

I have lived a half a mile from the museum for 58 years and never visited it, I ever had my own model railway until last year, I will have to get down there to have a look about.

Wow lucky you! Was about and hour and a half from me, strangely it does have a model railway feel to it with the Thomas style locomotives and the different areas. I also here they have got the railbus up and running so may be visiting again soon!
