We are Joe and Liisu, relatively new to RUclips but really excited to be a part of this community. We live small and sustainably in my home on wheels (a lovely van called Freyja) and from time to time out of our backpacks (we have not named the backpacks yet). Unfortunately, a large part of Hatay no longer exists. I watched it again for memories. It is one of the places in my country that I planned to go to and could not go to. I hope it will be rebuilt with the spirit of Hatay.
I truly hope so as well.
I feel blessed that we were able to see those places few month before the tragedy, but also sad since I know that many of those towns will never be the same.

Some of that made me jealous, I love the food when in Turkey but must confess I have never had that cheese desert. I am usually full though before I get to deserts after the free balloon bread etc and my meal 🙈 The rose water desert doesn't appeal as not a flavour I like, had it in other things over there.
Oh that cheese dessert - Künefe - I have a strong feeling you would love it! But there is also so many varieties of it, some with pistachio, some very cruncyhy etc. I did not enjoy the rose water too much myself 😅
Künefe is the best dessert I ever had, even better if you get it at a place that just covers all of its top with full sized pistacchios or pistacchio dust.
I will be visiting Tartu in July and I have never been in any Baltic States yet but I'm sure I will like them as much as you like Turkey.

Just a little hint, my internet connection is so bad but if i've seen it right you throw your food into the bin instead you could leave it outside of the bin and stray cats and dogs could feed themselfs. And if you could make it into small pieces, it will be easier for them to eat. People who can't buy cat/dog food do that. So we don't waste our food and can feed our friends 🤗 lots of love to you guys 🌈

Gaziantep is the gastronomy capital of Turkiye, you would be shocked by the taste and varieties of dishes. Most of the Turkish people takes a flight to Antep for a day , have breakfast, lunch , dinner and come back same day. It’s extremely famous city
Hatay is great place for your taste buds, but if I would name one city as capital of great tastes and gastronomy, it would be Gaziantep. Have you been there yet?

There are lots of vegetarian and vegan foreigners trying to show food in Turkiye 😂 if you're not eating meat in Turkiye you are not tasting anything 😅 you guys are hitting every single taste bud on your tongues 😊
That is true! Local cuisine does not really care for foreigner's diets so it would be way harder to taste everything meatless. 😁
we have a lot of meatless food but they are not well known as foreigners who come to the country often focus on street food.
Bro I need to explain to you bayat ekmek mean is old bread like 3 to 5 days after u bought it from shop it became not fresh and crispy ... U put a bread picture wild moldy ... Nobody makes a food from that bread... Just informing you ... Turkish breads gets bayat in second day but they won't go moldy in a weeks maybe , when it's moldy nobody use them at all then... And as a brother I advice u never put the food or bread to the bin, put it on the side , dogs,cats or birds will eat them later on ... We respect to food all the time as a Turkish culture as a personal way we don't put them in a bin. We believe God will stop supplying food for us if we become disrespectful... Just to inform you... Hatay food is very heavy. Not everyone can eat it in Turkey. Most of them are Arabian cuisine.Cute couple.👈👍😊🤗
Bir Hataylı olarak şu Arab mevzusu kadar bizi hasta eden birşey yok, Irkçılık olarak vs. Gibi algılama ama Suriyeli Mülteciler ve Aleviler(Arsuz tarafı) dışında yok. Ayrıca Humus gibi bazı mezeler hariç burdaki hiçbirşeyin Arap Mutfağıyla alakası yok. Zaten genellikle Adana, Antep, Osmaniye vs. Mutfağı baskın. Bi Künefe var ayrı o kadar.
