The situation has deteriorated to this point.
Nope. The situation is remedied and beautiful Mayotte is saved.
The same birthright law should be applicable in all of metropolitan France and it's other collectivities. As a matter of fact, all countries of this world should adopt the same law.
No, these people will never be french because they are black.
That’s not gonna work cause majority of the world is diverse. The whole world would plunge into crisis. Very few countries in this world is homogenous. That would create a crisis of epic proportions.
@@abandonedfragmentofhope5415this is laughable. Only thirty countries have birth right citizneship. Rest of the world does not have birth right citizenship.
They should give full sovereignty to the people of Mayotte then.
They want to remain part of France.
You misunderstand. The people of Mayotte will be citizens but not immigrants.
Mayotte voted to remain part of France because of the money. They would have to be kicked out of the union.
French government would love give independence to Mayotte. But you can't do that against the will of Mayotte people, that's the point.
Everything has limits including immigration. Plans need to be put together to help these people improve their own countries
They need to be left alone to manage thier own problems so they can grow no more world welfare it hasn’t worked
@@pinchebruha405That has nothing to do with the problem at hand.
You know that is a great plan the issue is THE WEST DOESN'T LEAVE THEIR COUNTRY ALONE, how hard is that to comprehend the situation and cause that came with it, Western interventionist Coalition in 2011 devastated what country?
Libya, after 2011, there was a displacement of Libyan Refugees coming into Europe aswell as the far west, there wasn't as much of that before 2011 after Gaddafi's death who had the country fixed and rich
I can go on and on and on all day with you about your opinion on this matter and why you are wrong
@@KGBSpyGeorgeCostanza Yawm. The woke ideology of ignoring personal responsibility. I could go on all night providing examples as to why third world countries are as they are, dispelling many of the myths that people like you swallow. But I would not waste my time.
@@mac7040 no no, enlightened us, since you think calling out western intervention and imperialism is woke....I really want you to cry and dispel any of my "myths", go on then, do it, or otherwise you'll just look like a liar who can't stand a critical debate
Europe needs to eliminate birthright citizenship all together. And France needs to grant their colonized islands independence.
You can only do that by ending the colonization.
The problem is, the locals don't want independence. Mayotte is a case in point. The Mahorans rejected independence from France twice, in 1974 and 1976. The nearby Comoros did go for it, with the result that Comorians are now flocking to Mayotte to rejoin France, as it were.
We give them free money, why would they want to leave 🤣 oh and they don't give us anything in return because they suck
@@alainportant6412 make then independent whether they want it or not.
Of course it would change things!!
This is my first time hearing of this island also thought Comoros was somewhere in the Caribbean 😢
As all Western countries should do
birthplace citizenship it only exists in places that were established to be European colonies eg: The Americas
@@bl00dhoney You're oh-so wrong. Besides France, the UK, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Greece and Ukraine have birthright citizenship, be it with some restrictions. Birthright citizenship stems from ancient Roman Law, not colonialism.
With the internet about, information is literally at your fingertips. I suggest you make use of it _before_ you comment.
The people of other Comoros islands have relatives in Mayotte .How France can separate them ? The immigrants from other islands are not the problem, but France is the problem. No African country own an island in Europe .You have taken too many islands every where in the world : in South East Asia, in Caribbean .Are there not enough ?
Mayotte should become independent, a country on its own.
The people of Mayotte want to remain part of France. Please leave them out of your pan-African fantasies and focus on making all the other African countries desirable places to live.
France didn't separate them, when their relatives left Comoros the separation occurred. I don't think it was forced, but voluntary and now the people of Mayotte want something done.
@@Booboonancy The thing is, Mayotte doesn't want to be independent. They voted >95% to become an overseas territory of France, rather than be independent like the nearby failed state of the Comoros.
@@theonlycaulfield .The referendum was organized by France , and the result published by France .The results of the so called referendum was not credible .And who authorised France to organize a referendum in an African territory ?
The same France has taken 3 islands from Madagascar .Did the populations of those islands vote also to be part of France overseas territory ? It is time to understand the neo colonialist France is the problem , not the immigrants .They are just going to the territory of their ancestors .
I couldent care less why am I seeing this.
Rights aren't rights if someone can take them away. They're privileges.

Who said French citizenship was a right?
@@alexanderangelo7284 yeah that's the point, you don't rights if it can be taken on a whim
@@alexanderangelo7284 and kinda what you said. Just grant them independence to them.
@rajanlad I took the post to mean that they were disappointed that France had decided to end birthright citizenship on this island
@@rajanladare you misunderstanding on purpose? They are ending immigrants misusing it.
Good!!!
What about the rest of France? Can the French constitution be changed to accommodate only one region? This report failed to address some important questions.
Than You must leave From there
Good now America needs to do this!
Then America needs to pull out its military bases from around the world and overseas territories
This is how it works in many nations, especially in Asia
Good
I went to school in France 22 years ago and this was the rule of law then, they had a very direct way of addressing citizenship. I’m sorry but as an American I think we reserve the right to declare anyone a citizen of our land and can then call themselves Americans. Just because you’re born in France dosen’t male you French at all, it’s absurd. I also had to pay for my own medical care which was far more reasonable then America, they need to go back to that way. Gratitude for being accepted into another country that you contributed nothing too and demanding anything as a right is not a sustainable policy and certainly extremely unfair to the middle class taxpayers because the rich aren’t paying for it and shoving your own people aside for ingrates is criminal! Surely some standards need applied to newcomers.
"YOUR LAND?" America is a colonized continent and the lands belong to the indigenous 🙄
Finally
Comoros are 100 Muslims, that's tell you
If there no more french citizenship, we wanna freedom as well!🫂🇾🇹
Time to give up the colony 😂😂😂😂😂colony are expensive
I believe that it is the right thing to do. Repatriate all natural french born citizen and left the island just it is again remove all traces of french ancestry in that island return all of them back in France give Mayotte to Comoros once again since the problem is already too much.
The people on Mayotte want to be french, I spoke with the people working there and they really do not want to become a failed state like Comoros.
Stollen African island
Who voted to stay as part of France.
