    In this Double Pedal drum lesson we're going to cover the basics and beginnings of how we can permutate our double pedal playing. Permutation will help get you out of the mindset of always playing on certain beats, and it will also help you gain the ability to come up with different patterns. Permutation is often found in funk music, and a great teacher of this is David Garibalidi of Tower Of Power. As a player of rhythm we can explore these concepts and technique throughout all types of music, including metal.

    Next one should be permuting eight notes - this is still easy as you start from right (or left as for my case ;)) for each pattern.
    Then why not going crazy and permuting 16th notes - this one's a bit tricky, because you should start from right, then from left and so on...

    • @CameronFleury
      @CameronFleury  3 года назад +2

      Hey Leo, slow it down man! You're tensing up because you're not quite ready to be playing those speeds. Develop some control and practice, practice, practice!
