  • When was the last time you saw a collegiate sprinter run 19 seconds in the 200 meters?! Nethaneel Mitchell-blake did just that at the #SECTF Championships as he sprinted to a big PR of 19.95 (+0.4) to win the event title with the 7th-fastest 200 meters ever run outdoors in collegiate history! He also became the 2nd-fastest British sprinter in history with his performance, finishing just .01 off of John Regis' British record of 19.94. #LSU racked up 20 points in the event as teammate Renard Howell earned All-SEC honors with a PR of 20.15 for 2nd & Tinashe Mutanga followed in 7th in 20.60. Howell's 20.15 ranks No. 4 in school history & No. 3 in the NCAA in 2016! #GeauxTigers

    So many people draggin this man for crying... this man right here works from November to November takes one week off and goes out in the SEC dropping times he never has before. Shit I would cry to when the hardwork pays off and the doubters finally stand in awe. Props to this mans dedication and yes he celebrated who the hell would not when you get 3 god damn GOLD medals at the SEC! Jeez it is not about class at the SEC you best know that by now....

    I don’t understand why people are hatin. He worked hard for it. 4th in the world to me at least that is pretty good... in fact amazing. These Olympian’s have trouble with the time he just put down. Confidence for a moment like that is acceptable

    If you knew what this guy went through yall wouldn't say those stuff.. I trained with this guy at Jamaica college... True talent.. Works hard.. So not everyone will celebrate as fitting as you see it... But I see nothing wrong with what he did... As for his background the court has spoken.. Let it die...

    Fastest Time this year as youth Man he should be as happy and celebrate as much as he would like with as many fingers as he likes. He cracks Ameer Webb in the 200m easy thus far this year and thats very fast. The pro's are struggling to get under 20secs and they are running hard its just Bolt and Gatlin have not Run the 200 yet this year but Rio 2 come soon, so Mitchell-Blake is in pretty good company.

      Clearly a great athlete, but he was a tad disrespectful and over the top

      @Nathan-xp4rv 8 лет назад +2

      Simply go to around 0:55 where you will see him taunting the others and rubbing the win in their faces. This carries on for a good 30 seconds. Call it what ya want matey but that's disrespectful in my book. He got trashed in Rio though so it's all good. Glad I could help

    60m 6.9-6.6
    100m 10.4-10.0 (10.4 consistent for 3 years)
    200m 20.7-19.9
    All after a year out....
    Insane, almost TOO insane

      +Tyson Sprinter rightfully so, that kind of progress at the level whilst recovering from an injury is outrageous.

    • @Nathan-xp4rv
      @Nathan-xp4rv 8 лет назад +1

      That level*

    • @Nathan-xp4rv
      @Nathan-xp4rv 8 лет назад +2

      +Tyson Sprinter if he isn't doping then FairPlay but it is quite unbelievable to make that progress given the circumstances as I'm sure you will agree

    • @Nathan-xp4rv
      @Nathan-xp4rv 8 лет назад

      +Tyson Sprinter usain bolt wasn't injured plus the fact he only started adopting the 100m in 2007. His 200m in 2007 was 19.75. In your case as well 12.3-11.6 is more than doable. At the level that nathaneel was already at however combined with the fact that he was injured, that kind of progress is unbelievable.

    I recognised Coleman in the orange as he is always in an orange attire for these races but look at how gar down he is. He came fifth I think and the close up showed him huffing and puffing around the bend but look now how he has evolved and everyone else in that race hasn't really made it after that. However, Coleman was caught for a doping violation recently amidst all that running that he was doing and the records he had. People always said right from the start that he was going to be the next big thing but I had a feeling that he could be doping. He was caught with a "whereabouts" ban but I know that Lyles and Norman were outstanding juniors so they looked to be clean but then again Coleman could've gone and really worked for it as the times he's run in the past few years have shown. However, in the article that reported that Lyles was "shocked" over the Coleman controversy, had a comment that I commented in which basically informed that Noah Lyles was possibly using/abusing a known stimulant known as "adderall" for his "asthma". Someone has to go down here........................................................................................

      He grew up in the UK but trained in jamaica before going to lsu (though his accent is what most black people in London sound like doesn't sound jamaican) as his parents are prob from there though (jamaica), most black people in the UK are mainly 2nd 3rd or maybe even 4th generation immigrants now most being from the Windrush generation where they needed extra workers after the wars and allowed people from the commonwealth to immigrate to the UK, most you'll find are from Jamaica and other parts of the Caribbean and a huge amount are Nigerian and some are Ghanaian but not as many as the Jamaicans and Nigerians in my opinion. And most of the kids tend to have that culture at home while living in England (London Birmingham Manchester I'd say more south though than Northern England)

    Not as impressive as Andre's 19.58 with just above a legal tail wind, but still impressive nonetheless. The celebrating was a bit excessive when he was throwing up 3 fingers in front of every runners face as he won. Funny thing is, I'd put my money on Christian Coleman (Lane 4) against him if they ran against each other this year. Hes only a junior and ran a 20.1 indoors and a 6.45 in the 60m.

    • @viewmaster2027
      @viewmaster2027 7 лет назад

      JaeSprint Any wind assist doesn't make a performance spectacular. It wasn't done his effort. When he ran a fast race without it being wind aided then let me know.

    what happened with the rape allegation stuff? it seemed to just disappear with no outcome! I will wait until i know more about that before i decide whether i am happy to have him represent my country and support him. He seems in turmoil here and i can understand why but wait until the british tabloids get a hold of his back story, they will have a field day and the selectors might think twice. I wonder if he is coming to run at the UK Trials?

    • @Hengel_Andrews
      @Hengel_Andrews 8 лет назад

      Hey the British team will take him pronto! As long as he's clean, all allegations will be finessed. The most important thing is he's actually British export unlike Williams and Hughes who are British imports.
