- Toshi Salvino makes a living out of being a doll. The Brooklyn-based makeup artist is the de facto leader of a group of artists who turned their love of dolls into a lifestyle. The Cut talked to them about how dressing up in layers of lace and makeup helps them feel more like their true, unvarnished selves.
i love how people think that anyone who wears stuff that isnt a T-shirt and jeans is automatically "mentally ill" or only does it "to hide their true selves" or some other wack bs. like ok if you wanna live in a dull world that's fine but don't shit on other people. i love their style ❤️

Hi my name is summer rain and im a living porcelain doll I have got bullied and harassed around and assaulted and stuff while I was going to school the girls and guys were shocked and jealous that im a real life living porcelain doll (its okay if you dont believe me dont take it seriously) everyone was jealous that I was a living doll and I have my own doll life style called "my living dollhouse" im also getting my dollhouse life sized home build in a backyard soon its going to be so beautiful and big and real with waterproof and fireproof
my living dollhouse life: people will stare and look at me and say "oh my gosh she is a real living porcelain doll is that your daughter??!?!" in a surprised way and my mom would say "yes" "She is my daughter shes a living doll" then the people would ask "well what type of doll is she? cause shes really beautiful" my mom and dad said im a living porcelain doll , then as soon I got in school elementary through high school I got bullied and harassed and assaulted for being a living doll I know people in the school couldn't tell or believe me (I always say thats okay cause it dont hurt me much cause im proud of being a living doll) now I gruated school im at home now taking care of my boyfriend and my family :) and yes I have a boyfriend and friends not so much cause girls are jealous of living dolls that are females and males cause were so beautiful and different from humans and also I was surprised my parents and other people told me im a living porcelain doll so im trying to enchase my doll features and love them and show them to others who dont know me :)

In nature animals who are able to mate tend to stand out from other animals. Some even spruce up their looks with items around them. Humans are animals, it's not really out of the ordinary to do something that changes your look. And normal is irrelevant, it's based on society views. Because every place on the planet has a different point of view of normal. Maybe you're just a boring person with no imagination or creativity. And projecting that on to folks who are unafraid, brave enough to go against societal norms.
