Probably my favourite palm. Surprisingly tolerant of frost and cool, damp conditions considering. They are stunning in their natural habitat.

Amazing, these must be over 100 years old considering they look to be up to 40 ft. There are about 30 brahea armata planted by my city (Redlands, ca) in the 1970s and yet they are only 7ft to 12ft tall lol. Different genes? Thanks for the video😊

This is like the coolest vid I have ever seen. But I am biased. I LOVE Brahea!. I've been wanting to go down and see native groves for a really long time. Gotta do it. Maybe I just buy a bunch of ice, a bag of limes and a 36 pack of Tecate and hang out with you guys. You might like my channel. No drone but lots of botanical nerd info. True Plant Stories is the channel. Can I put an order in?? Habitat Drone footage of Brahea clara, Brahea nitida, Brahea brandeegei, Brahea moorei, Brahea decumbans, Brahea edulis, Brahea pimo. And one last thing. BOOJUM!!!! (I just like saying it) Thanks for that wonderful vid.

Ha! Thank you very much. If you want to go see Brahea armata in habitat, I can help you with locations, guides, etc. Send me a message. And I will be going back to Mexico eventually to do more palm habitat videos, but my next trip is Dominican Republic. I just subscribed to your channel.

@@palmsavanna I just got back from DR on a family trip and struggled very hard with decision on whether or not to go track down Pseudophoenix ekmanii in habitat but it was all the way on the other side of the island, like a 7 hour drive away each way. So I opted not to. That decision may haunt me a bit for the rest of my life. I got to see some gorgeous Roystonia, Sabal, and coocothrinax native stands though.

Nice video my friend, I have the Osmo Pocket and the Mavic pro so I can still film when the wind is too strong even for the Mavic pro. Cracking views and great drone flying, I pressed the big red button and also rung the bell.
