Peavey also allowed Eddie to retain the rights to the Wolfgang design (the reason he was able to release them under EVH/Fender). Music Man owned the original design and released it as the "Axis".

Yes, use your ears with Mesa amps. Many of them have eq knobs and faders. The eq knobs are usually pre-gain and the sliders are not (every rule has exceptions). I would roll back the eq knobs some and adjust the sliders to taste (if you have both). Treble control knobs in particular can add gain.

My youth guitar store story was positive. Went in to my local sam ash just to get strings and would window shop like always. This one visit might have been a slow day or whatever but the sales rep let me plug into peavy JSX full stack. I was just a kid first year in high school just enough money for strings but that day marked my life. The amount of volume compared to my line 6 spider combo of the day. Always remember that day.

Hey Phil, I think you're somewhat right regarding the Stranger Things guitar but I think there's an element you're missing. Stranger Things is a huge show. There's a really big number of people that are guitar players and Stranger Things fans. That's the key. When you can combine two passions into one item, people will pay crazy prices. I absolutely hate the warlock design but even I was tempted because I'm a guitar player who loves Stranger Things. That's the key, two loves in one item.

When i was in high school, i worked for a city-run recreation park(ski hill, golf course, swimming etc). The manager was the area councillor's son, and was fired for stealing $16k from the parks funds. They printed it in the local paper and it was pretty bad. Turned out it was just another high school kid who learned to forge his signature on blank cheques he stole. Its not always as it first seems.

So that bridge your jonesing on from Floyd. Was on my Kramer when I bought it. I bought it in Germany in 1984 or 85. I moved to San Bernardino California in 1986 and took it to a guitar shop to install the locking nut and the fine tuning bridge. And it still has that bridge now. Unfortunately I got rid of the original non fine tuning bridge when that modification was done back then.

I went on an Evertune shopping/learning journey this week. I was looking at a used one, and let the buyer beware it's very difficult to tell if the "modules" have been replaced to accommodate unusual string gauges. If you use standard gauges, the guitar will not set up properly if low or high tension modules have been installed. I have an email out to them, because the modules don't appear to be labelled.

Ty is the ultimate tone chaser. I have followed his guitar sound and it just gets better every album, every year, so on and so forth. I haven’t had the privilege of seeing them live yet. I have most of their albums, including live in London. I think that album is the best sounding live album I’ve heard over the years. It’s massive and powerful. Of course they evolved from there dug got his signature amp rig and I believe a signature bass through Shecter. He has signature mics, blah, blah, blah. I’m not sure Ty has anything that would be signature through any brand, unless Fender did something with him. Or maybe Yamaha a few years ago. I kinda slacked off on gear geekiery of KingsX. I could go on all night but I’ll stop now. Thank you, I got all excited when you mentioned KingsX. lol… 🎸🤓🎸

@Phillip McKnight, I have a set of the Tronicle tuners you can borrow for the show. I bought them on Reverb a few years ago because I actually like them. They don't require any mods to a Gibson Les Paul, because they don't screw on, the ferrules hold them in place. This way, you can try them out on your Lite and just return them. I can put a return of address in the box. Let me know if you're interested. - Jim

Hey Phil thanks again for the video I know it's this comment isn't completely isn't the guitar related in a sense but it is to since you mentioned family and all that stealing and stuff now I know what it's like I had 175,000 or half of my house I should have a house with my sibling and yeah it cost me $175,000 and I was left but basically nothing and had to move out of the country in order to supply these things happen and the animosity that they bring to between the two you know I didn't try and see her of course you know out of 175,000 that would have been mine and inequity at the time now even with the way things are it would have been over 200 I was left for 10 grand and again I had to leave the country I didn't have to but I did because I couldn't live I moved to another country where I got a lot of help monetarily housing my head cuz I lost the roof over my head yeah you know and now I'm the only one left in my family and I would give all that money if you know in doubles to have them back so you know it was very messy but in the end you know it's a bad emotions and family and hurt and love and all these things that intertwine in a relationship and in the end money isn't everything I've come to that conclusion it's not worth it you know it's just money anyway back to guitar stuff so love you sincerely Bob the blind person guitars PS I thought that Dean lost their cases prior to this with Gibson maybe that was just in Europe I'm not sure or maybe they you know brought it back to court that they what's the word appealed it somehow and one you know part of me is glad because you know making tons of money off of somebody else's designs intellectual property even though Gibson wasn't supposedly you know look it's a big company and it gets that big company rap people love them when they hate them they hate them here and I always thought you know make your money off your own laurels make a new design do something or get permission to make the design you know that's my my point of view I don't I don't want to take away any money or bread out of the mouth of the people that the work for Dean they're always like you said the employees are always caught in the shorts they get the s*** end of it but I don't think he's going out of business right away and yeah you know that's that that's my opinion and I feel the same way with friends the fenders design and intellectual properties I think that that's something that should stay with you a long time when it comes to a patents and the and copyrights I remember that you know reading for myself not school or anything you know about you know I remember about Samuel Clemens or Mark Twain who was very very strong on getting more time you know for his copyrights for copyright protection and I guess Pat and protections he was also trying to invent the new type of press that he spent millions of dollars on back in the 1900s early 1900s late 1800s that never came to fruition you know the actual people that he was working with to do this never came through fruition but then again you know he didn't think that the amount of time allotted to his copyrights we're at long enough and strong enough and I kind of feel the same way he does even though I never invented anything although I tried I tried to Pat and something and it just wasn't patentable so there you go sincerely about the blind bedroom guitar sorry that was so off topic but in a way it's not p

It's beena few yrs ago now but I bought a new blackstar 20watt combo . Store gave a good deal . I was liking the amp pretty good until 3wks after the warranty was up and no warning it died never to play again . Blackstar couldnt have cared less . 2 amp techs said it wldve cost more to fix than buy a new one . Cldnt buy a schematic if I wldve found one .
Anyway , i did get a cheap speaker a black box and a chassis tht i keep at the bottom of my pond . Affectionately known as my lil boat anchor .
If uv got one and love it uv done good . If not well ,, just a thot .

Dean Guitars… this is what happens when you hand a spoiled brat a business when they have no business running it. Kid doesn’t know his ass from his face. Innocent or Guilty doesn’t matter… he’s still a toolbag. And if you’re even in the situation, or even being accused, it means you’re doing some things wrong.

Dean needs to do something about that ugly headstock on there guitars. i was looking at a Dean in a local guitar shop I absolutely loved the guitars unique body shape and color and how beautifully it played. But the only reason I didn't buy it was that ugly gigantic V headstock! I know it's their trademark but maybe it's time for a change. Or at least another option. I know the purest out there love it.but for people like me it looks tacky and cheap and takes away from the rest of the guitar

Same thought here. I’ve played Deans that I thought played and sounded great, butterface headstock. Same with B.C. Rich. It’s okay to make guitars that won’t embarrass adult players.

I’ve had the same Experience with rainbow guitars, very douchey personalities, but they’re the only high end store around anymore

Does anyone here have any experience with Blackstar amps- the club 40 to be exact- I think the MKii model? I can nab one right now for 425- I can probably get them down to 375 maybe 400$- is it worth it? It's in great condition- looks brand new almost, I haven't hooked it up or anything but- assuming it all works and it's in great cosmetic shape- 375-400$ ??
I play mostly classic rock, blues, and some heavier stuff like Tool, Metallica, Rush, etc. I own a Strat and a Les Paul- and plan on buying others once I get a good tube amp squared away. I already play through a Peavey Red Stripe Trans-tube Studio Pro 112- but I don't have a real tube amp. I no longer gig but I do get together with the guys sometimes and we jam so- I still play live occasionally. Is the Blackstar overkill maybe? Maybe I would be better served to put that money into a good audio interface so I can start using plug-ins and cab sims and all that stuff I don't understand. But see- the Blackstar has a line out on back with cab sims built in- specifically for recording. Idk what to do.

My buddy has one and we play A LOT of rush and blues. Sounds fantastic and often I’ll play it with no pedals or anything 😊

You know originally a drama I was a professional drama and I picked up the guitar I thought myself in order to write songs but I would say that led Zeppelin I sold led Zeppelin in 72 or 73 it was the tour that they made the movie and the album The song remains the same I saw them in New York City and then I saw them the same coliseum yeah I mean when I think back I mean that is like one of the Pinnacle concepts of theirs as far as we now concerts I mean look they made that album and movie out of that and I was fortunate enough to see them twice within days and two different venues one in New York City and one in Nassau county Queens I'm sorry nasa county New York yeah I remember I just saw this in a I was asking my mother for $25 to buy a ticket for I don't know if it was both shows so maybe 50 bucks 25 bucks but I know for the New York show somebody with scalping him for 25 bucks and I begged my mother before 14 years old maybe she gave me the money you know but Alexa couldn't imagine her stealing a half million dollars for me lol but yeah that that was really instrumental in drums for me and I guess as far as guitar getting me into guitar even more I was Johnny Winter I saw him in 1980 I guess I think it was the beacon in New York City and I actually met him my friend an older friend was his doctor yeah I ended up I ended up 10 years later going to the same doctor and clinic he did where I saw him I would see him in the office in the waiting room I will talk to him and stuff and I also saw him at many other shows backstage I was always able to get back stay until because my friend was his doctor and he remembered of course you know I mentioned that my friend and but whatever yeah Johnny Winter was very influential and made me look at the guitar totally differently and actually even to play the guitar at the beginning sincerely about the blind bedroom guitarist
