    Hi! How often did you change your desiccant bag? I have the camera feeder one and says replace every 14 days…but they are quite expensive

      Tbh I never replaced it. Like you it’s an expensive cost to replace that frequently and I find our cat still doesn’t have a problem with eating the food that’s still being dispensed.
      You could buy much cheaper packs from Amazon if you still think you need it. But I’ve had no problem with other auto dispensers with much looser top container lids and they never had to have these bags. So I feel it’s a way to fleece owners out of a regular serviceable cost.
      It depends how often and how many portions you set it up by. We feed 2-3 portion, twice a day so the amount goes within 2-3 weeks and it’s then topped up with fresh.

    Hi.
    I’m hope you don’t mind me asking: does it also work without the original bowl?
    I want to use another bowl since my cat needs a slow feed bowl because otherwise he inhales his food.

      I guess it’s possible because you can remove the base of the bowl but you would have to find. A dish that’s circular enough with the right height to fit so that the lip of the exit hole where the kibble comes out of comes over this other bowl of yours and it doesn’t eject it all over the floor :)

    Can you use the app to give your cat an extra portion randomly?

      Yes you can tap in the app to drop any amount of portions as you like. Hope this helps.

    Thank you for the video. I have a question, if you don't mind. Does the feeder need to be connected to the wifi at all time? Because I use phone data for internet. I want to be able to schedule the meals for days while I am away, i.e., while the device is disconnected from the internet.
    And thanks again.

      I don’t think it does. It is mainly used to interact with the feeder. Once scheduled it should operate as set without WiFi being needed. Obviously if you wanted to change anything whilst away, and there’s no internet you won’t be able to tell it what to do from afar.

    Have you had any experience with it if the wifi goes out? Will it still dispense a meal as long as it has the batteries for power back up?

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  2 месяца назад

      I’ve not been in the situation where the WiFi had cut out at the same time as a drop. I believe the WiFi part is for connecting the app and edit settings and alter schedules. After that I would think all this is saved locally and WiFi isn’t required for it to make any food drops. Just power, which can be protected by fitting batteries.
      We also fit a camera nearby to monitor feeding when away for more than 24hrs so we can make sure it’s all working ok and had zero problems.

    I would stay away from PetLibro, the right and the left hand for customer service have no clue what they are doing. I don't like the $12 cost tor return one of the two items that under warranty. Try another feeder to avoid frustration and hours of headaches

      What went wrong with yours and is it the same pet feeder as the one in this video? I’ve not had any trouble with mine and I have not needed to deal with their customer service.
