I really appreciate Taylor, I’ve seen some horrible punts in recent years. That caused a lot of games so I’ll take it and the offensive line need to take care of them selves they’re big men out there , they need to take care of the quarterback.
@@deancorso4212 what’s a bad pick? Winning Super Bowls doesn’t “justify that”? I would count that as “something“ if that happens with the so-called “bad pick”
I was slightly concerned after the first few games, but the last 2 games have showed me this offense and Caleb will be just fine, especially when we get more consistent Oline play.
I’m tired of seeing DE’s pushing our OT around. Jared Verse would have wrecked more drives with embarrassing sacks if it wasn’t for defensive holding calls. Instead of losing downs and yards, we got 10 yards and first downs. Bailed out. Braxton sitting in Caleb’s lap too often. And too many hits for Caleb.
On that same drive there was a Wright false start followed almost immediately by a Shelton hold, and a bit later illegal formation by Wright that erased a 3rd and long conversion. They were gaining small positive yards on that drive, getting bailed out by defensive penalties, and were still consistently looking at 3rd and long. OLine definitely took a big L on that drive.
Tom Thayer said the same thing, that he wants the O Line push first rather than sit back and wait to be hit as far as their blocking techniques. I was watching and he was right. Morgan’s gotta recognize that and teach it as the coach. It makes a difference.
It was great that the team leaders met. It calmed things down and players played with a sense of urgency. Caleb was also more in control with better line protection. Very positive effort and I was happy for Swift as well.
Those first four weeks are always so confusing. You'll see teams blowing teams out and other teams getting blown out. Then everything settles down. 2-2 is all right in my book after those first four weeks. Hopefully this team has found their groove and will continue to get better from here. Swifty, keep killing it brother! Love the channel!
That was most pleasant surprise of the day! It always hard to remember that Matt is also learning just as much as Caleb Williams. He had this team play to its best they could in the last 7 home games!! Got to just look to next week and try to get to winning record for the season!!
Great team win, St was amazing Love our punter "from Down under", O line played better in Run Block, Pass block is still a cluster &uck. We play CAR next week not just important to make sure that 2nd rounder we get from them is in the top 5 of that round....but our Defense and Offense should REALLY look good vs a team like CAR.
7:53 i’m feeling great after this one! I’ve always preached relaxing and just taking it easy and slow. Which is why I can understand other people who aren’t sold yet. It is a slow process, but once it all comes together. Hopefully they’ll be a lot more peace in the fanbase.
Caleb will continue to get better every single game. This season is going to get better for us as a fan base as this season goes on…. Thanks for the content Swift, keep it coming brother…🐻👇🏼
Some things to note, the Bears were playing at home. The rams had 2 turnovers to the Bears none. 3 sacks and Caleb seemed to be under pressure a good amount of the time (So I'm really no more confident in the O line at this point). On the good side of things the defense was solid and we kept our turnovers to a minimum. Swift finally had a nice game. It's a win, but if the rams don't turn that ball over or if the bears do it could easily have gone the other way. sub 200 yds. passing isn't good either. Plenty of room for improvement, can't help but feel the rams had a let down after their game from last week.
I saud by week 4 it's make or break game. Two resins, 1. O-line chemistry should show principles 2. Caleb should begin showing signs the game isn't beyond him and is slowing down. So far it's on target! OC Waldron now needs to see if Caleb up temple rhythm can get to faster starts in quarter 1. Nice win! GO BEARS AND BEAR DOWN 🐻 ❤❤❤
Good win! However, we caught a break with them missing their two best WRs. Verse manhandled Braxton. Need to see if Kiran can play LT in the NFL and move Braxton to G or swing tackle. Defense was strong most of the game. Double T is a Beast!
Tory Taylor was my MVP today Credit to coaches for responding to Poles challenge with a quality game plan, and a well managed game The OL had a better day but still far too many penalties and allowing early pressures. Braxton Jones was getting walked back by Verse. Tevin Jenkins getting hurt is not a good sign for his extension talks if it becomes a lingering issue. Dude just can’t stay healthy to save his life. Keenan Allen was a huge plus to the offense and he opened things up a ton. I still want our receivers to start winning against coverage more. I don’t feel like they are consistently dominating and that troubles me. Chicago has a lot of horsepower and I want to see it turned loose.
It’s a huge win and it’s even bigger because the dog-ass packers got spanked. They needed this one. Looks like the offense turned a corner but still wasn’t ready to close it out. They needed a first down after the 2 minute warning and came up short. Special teams and defense carried the day in the end. Overall a great team effort.
Winnable home game next Sunday before traveling to England to play the Jaguars. Hopefully they can win that one. I don't like NFL games overseas. There's still a few very winnable games before the divisional games begin.
Not a great win over a good team but we will take it. Improvement on the part of Caleb and the OL. Thought the OL would play worse with Jenkins out but that was not the case. Davis came in and Pryor moved over and it worked. Big concern for Jenkins. His inconsistency especially on pass pro is worrisome. He needs to be much better. He had trouble with stunts and everyone has attacked him with stunts and we have given up a lot of pressure up the middle. Shelton had his best game but is too small to ever dominate. Eberflus and the OC improved as well. So we get a week off of complaining about Deandre Swift, Caleb and the OL.
I still think we need help with our o line. Waldron called a better game today, and our running game was unlocked. Our defense did what they needed to do. All around, I’m thankful we’re .500 and looking forward to next week. Bear Down
It wasn’t pretty, but I do see progress, and a win is a win. There’s definitely a ton of room for improvement including not shooting themselves in the foot on offense. The reason why every offensive penalty came at the most inopportune time is because this offense struggles enough without committing penalties, so every time they do commit a penalty on offense, the drive is pretty much dead. Every penalty they commit on offense is amplified because they don’t have the ability to pick up chunk yards and convert a 2nd or 3rd and long.
Easily Shane Waldrons best game as a play caller for the Bears! RoJo is legit and happy to see him get a TD and more playing time. O-Line still needs to improve! Still struggle with basic stunts and pre-snap penalties
Rewatching the game, drive 3 when 2 sacks were erased by defensive holding was very sad. The number of OT mistakes and penalties, bull rushed into Caleb’s lap and Caleb taking a hit and on the ground, that was the ugliest drive so far.
Question: I’m old school mostly, when they said 12 man they always would be talking about the Fans cheering but now it’s totally different 12 and 13 man what is meant by that? BearDown
I’m and avid Bears fan, but unless our offense takes a real leap we will be lucky to win 7 games. Based on what my eyes tell me, we will be fortunate to win one game in our division. Our Oline will need to figure it out and Waldron still sucks. We won against an anemic defense and a depleted offense. Minnesota looks elite and GB still looks better than we do. Detroit is still figuring it out. With the worst coaching staff I don’t believe the scheme on offense will ever get there with this line and a rookie QB
they still cant block sorry to be a downer but that rookie defensive end ate our line for lunch. also no cooper kupp or puka. they also ran all over the defense and we knew it was coming and still couldnt stop it. we won and thats what matters but we still have alot of issues.
If puka or cooper played they lose. If both were playing they get smoked by double digits. The defense couldn’t force a punt until 4 minutes left in the game. That "bend don't break" would have broke early and the game would have broken open early. Caleb probably would have started pressing and probably would have committed a couple turnovers. That final take of mine is probable, not guaranteed. But for sure if both Puka and Cooper were out there they would have finished off most of their drives, not just because the receivers were wide most of the game, but their blocking abilities would have added to Williams big day and would have made it huge. They were nearly unstoppable today, with those guys they would have throttled the bears. All that being said, I'll take the ugly win again. They're getting close. With a few wins like this under their belt, once they build on the flashes shown and put it together, they may be able to make a run late in the season.
