I cannot *wait* for these to be added to the Maritime line! In twenty years. At least. And still have to go 50 along half of the New Brunswick portion.
The first ever run of them was in November last year (went under the radar) and then idk when but they started running them on tuesdays between Montreal and Ottawa
As I believe they ordered something like 32 sets, they’ll certainly be running them more frequently in the near future. Also between Toronto-Ottawa (and while I doubt it, but if I’m lucky, between Toronto-Windsor as well).
In theory, the new sets may be slightly faster than the oldest of VIA’s equipment, but in practice I believe all can run at higher speeds than the corridor allows. The main “speed” benefit of the new sets is turnaround time at termini, as they have a controlling cab at both ends.
The Via train looks so cool
I wish they would have added mood lighting to the cabin for night time or low lighting situations. It would have made for a nice touch.
I am impressed. Can't wait to take the new train.
Why do some people say that these are different from the ones that Amtrak and Brightline got? They look the same with slightly different colors.

@@TechnicaProductions Ok, Thanks!!

Are these new trains in just that one section of service or are they elsewhere as well?
Just the Ottawa-Montreal section once a week for now
@@TechnicaProductions do you know which trains? Will be travelling this route next week
@@zacharyemura608 33 and 26 on Tuesdays
@@TechnicaProductions that's a shame, I'm travelling on the 51 on Tuesday :(

Sounds like you were sitting above a wheel with a flat spot.
