The first time I fasted bc my husband didn’t want to pay tithe. He said that the church was always asking for money and we were newly married and broke. I felt helpless bc I knew from experience as a teenager that tithing is biblical and Gods rules are for our benefit not His. It was only 1 day fasting and my husband was writing a title check. I’m serious! I was willing to fast and pray for as long as it took and I didn’t tell my husband I was fasting. He didn’t know. I just stopped nagging him and gave it to God ❤

I stopped tithing to the church as we have plenty of family and friends who are struggling. So my husband and I pay our tithing into a savings account, and if someone in our family is in need, we give them a portion. I told God it is His account, and He can manage it as He sees fit. It is amazing the people He sends our way, and it always works out perfectly. God is amazing.
Tithes are only supposed to be given to the Levite priests. Are your church Levite priests? If not, then anyone receiving a tithe is committing sin. There's nothing wrong with giving an offering and being a cheerful giver as the scripture states. But the Tithes were specifically and ONLY for the Levite priests. Read your bible.
Christ is our refuge and it's only Him that can give meaning to our existence so let us ask Him to fill it with wisdom, knowledge and understanding to love Him, praise and serve Him. May God Almighty bless this day.🙏🏽🙌🏽

First I’ve been exercising I don’t get enough water or sleep because I’m running after toddlers secondly I didn’t restrict media content . Exactly. God will actually tell you how many days He wants you to fast. Faith is vital as this This isnt for personal selfish miracles or self gain God can and will bless His people if He chooses to. But just saying because some ppl have a goal of wht they expect or want during or after fasting they get discuraged cause God didnt give them what they want. When that is entirely not the point at all. This is the gift we get to have intimacy with our Creator. This is between YOU only and Him. Drink coconut water ( not too much maybe once every two days or once each day for shorter diration ) . When you feel hungry resist pray cry out to God talk to Him in complete respect and transparency. This is the point. Strengthen your intimacy with God. Listening to Him. Obeying him. Submittng to HIS will. If you do it for a certain expectaton it may fail. This is a huge part of the refining as well as it drve out demons !!!!! Gods people have been given authority!!! How would you recommend exiting a 3 day fast? I tend to have anxiety that revolves around my digestion so I’m looking to make it as peaceful as possible since I don’t want to end a fast with panic attacks. 😅
Omg. At the end of a 3-Day water fast I did, I didn't know this at the time but I wasn't supposed to eat solid foods. My throat felt excruciatingly burning when I ate 1 fried egg with bread. My throat was sore for days after that and had cuts around it. Even then it took me a whole day to eat that sandwich. Moral of the story: When breaking a liquid only fast, start off slowly. One day drink soups, next day smoothies, the next day oatmeal, next day soft not toasted bread. Then, when you're closer to a week post fast introduce hard foods like eggs, toast, salads etc. And take small bites, see how your throat handles the hard foods before gouging the food down. Lol
Pastor, each time I've attempted to fast with you and the group, something physical happens. I'm chronically ill, have other issues. Today, day 1, I'm diagnosed with gout in my arm- not even a joint. I'm not taking the steroids bc they make me eat like crazy. Please stand with me in prayer 🙏

Lemon adds potassium and encourages drinking. Staying hydrated and electrolytically balanced is key when fasting to avoid side effects. Consuming anything other than this mixture, plain water, black coffee, or tea will break your fast.

I did that during some of my fasts, herbal tea too. I really depends on what God puts on my heart. Sometime it's just water too.
Be careful with lemon though because it’s acidic. In general try to stay away acidic drinks it’s not good for your stomach.
