That's okay, Doom isn't for them, it's for us.
Because he wasn't on "Freestyler" by Bomfunk MC. If he had a feature on that track and put a crack a lack in that track, as Tony would say, I'm pretty sure he would have made it on here. That's just how good Freestyler by Bomfunk MC is.
As a 60 year old US veteran conservative man who doesn't really listen to Hip Hop, not having Tom MacDonald in the list is a crime against humanity.

For a Top 50 list, being mildly dissatisfied is pretty good. That is really hard to do considering how many passionate fanbases there are.
honestly, i wasnt mad at the list which now and days is surprising
And people act like a top 50 is obvious. Putting a top 50 together is actually very hard. You will leave many people out automatically
@@brandonayong5823I think the reason fantano wasnt mad at the list is because he looked if billboards picks make sense on a top 50 list instead of the order of the picks themself.

That's a measured and mature response to not making the list, Tyler. Ja Rule could learn a lot from you.

Nav at number 1 was a no-brainer. Happy to see Billboard recognizing the GOAT. 🙏
NAV is the voice of our generation
The other day I was doing bench presses at the gym, but I just wasn't feeling it. My form was sloppy and I felt weaker than usual. I had headphones in and I started to play NAV. NAV starts with, "Your whip is like a toilet you're looking like poop in it". Next thing I know I'm doing bench presses EASY like I'm lifting a toothpick. I took a quick look around to see if anyone was noticing. To my surprised everyone had a panicked and disturbed look on their faces. As NAV sang, "These pussies acting like some toilets, wanna take my shit." Some girl pointed behind me. Turns out my sleeve had gotten snagged on the wall behind me and I was lifting the entire building approximately 2-3 inches. I chuckled, then looked to the sky, as NAV begins singing, it was as if he was trying to perfectly describe the present moment.

So happy when you said Guru. He totally deserves a spot on the list. God universal. Ruler universal.
Is that a Nails shirt, Fantano?
I’m personally not that disappointed with Tyler not being on this list, seeing as he has been very consistent in not wanting to be regarded as a rap artist specifically in his comment on his issues with the urban/rap category of the Grammys during his interview in which he won a Grammy for Igor for the best rap album, even though he himself said it wasn’t a rap album. So while he does deserve recognition with all of the influence and recognition he’s gained and contributed to the hip hop game in recent years, I don’t think that recognition should come from this list for his sake. But yeah, no slick Rick, no doom, no de la soul cuts or another wu tang cut was a bummer from this list. Also to anyone saying JID should’ve been on this list, he needs some time to grow still. Just let him cook for a bit.
I dont think thats what he was saying tho... He disparaged the Grammys having an "urban" category due to how obviously condescending (and potentially racist) that is but hes no doubt a hip hop artist that deserves to be recognized among others

@@jeriji6592 give him half a decade longer of work similar to what he’s putting out and I’m sure most would agree he’s top 50. He’s just too new to add to one just yet
I think rap in general has gone through so much growth and change over its history that it’s insanely difficult to limit a greatest list to just 50 artists ever. Each generation of rappers you could probably make a top 50 of and still leave some people off.
Exactly but this list is still pretty bad
Yeah. How can they not include the master of charisma, delivery and bars in the current generation that is the great NAV? NAV>>>NAS
I thought the list was barely okay but the fact big boi wasn’t on it and Rick Ross got a spot was crazy. Sure he’s not as good as André but he’s just as vital and almost equally as skilled
I mean... Even if you put together a list of the top 200 rappers of all time, there will still be a top 50 within that list, right?
Your comment was the most intelligent and insightful comment on greatest list in music sports or anything else almost because it's always the greatest of that period of time and people don't take into account how things have changed I personally think in basketball players in the '50s and '60s and '70s should be considered greater because they did it first and players from the '80s '90s and on had to learn from those earlier players and how to even play the game

He would have been one of the goats by the time he retired. He lost everything really at the point he was fulfilling his potential. Had his career been longer, top 50 for sure for sure. Same with Tyler, Tyler's career just needs to be longer.
Think his problem is mac Miller never really had like a major hit albums apart from his last 2. But if you look at his overall discography you could make like 2 classic albums out his music easily.
@@robbieh2458 Divine Feminine was a pretty big hit if I recall correctly, granted it's one of his albums I skipped because it didn't connect with me
When you're sad I'm sad. Please get well soon melon. We love you. but also get over it, it's just a list
Facts. Everyone always say they don't care about those lists but they always complain about it when new lists comes
@@brandonayong5823 they don't care about the lists because the lists are bogus. They care because artists not getting the recognition they deserve
@@DJ-ce3hq But if the list is irrelevant like they say then why does it matter than those artists are not getting recognized by it?
@@brandonayong5823 because they could be getting recognition for it. I mean I did kinda just say it before. I know most, if not at least I would like to see a list that's made with heart and respect for the artists, genre and all that. Seeing lists poorly made especially by something as well known as billboard. Is discrediting to billboard and what they say, also a waste of readers time, not seemingly made for the love of what they're making it for but made for clicks and shit. It's not nice
Criticizing the list is also a fun and reasonable thing to do. Don't tell Anthony what he should or shouldn't get over when he's in the music journalism industry smh
where is ice cube???
Honestly the top 10 is like avengers level output
We gotta remember this is billboard. They choose their top artists based on accolades they’ve received and time they’ve spent on billboard charts.
Doesn't look like it's strictly based of that
That's really the only reason 50 Cent is on here.
@@scottferguson3842 Fym 50 got Classics
Exactly.... Drake clearly paid them off to include him in the top ten
@@hermanosfernandez1537 open ur eyes dude...Drake doesn't belong even in the top 50... it's because he's wealthy as hell
