I don’t tend to laugh easily when watching shows but when the camera panned down to the oven I started bursting out laughing just at the anticipation of her reaction.
I'm sorry, they all annoy me. who can screw up more better. Phssh. Well swimming with pigs was pretty ok...OK? "To be honest" "I'll be honest" I don't know. CAN you be honest? How about stop screwing around and just be honest FFS! Oh my God! Honestly!
I love how the medic just sits there and watches him when he passes out. That's what I do if someone passes out around me. I'm an RN, and I just watch their breathing. They'll come to eventually. LOL
This show is lovely. Celebrities or regular bakers, they have this gentle, beautiful humor. As an American, I wish more of our programming had this sensibility.
@@junbh2 British shows are one of the kindest shows ever. Despite ''competition'', it's still relatively chill and contestants often help each other out and cheer for each other.
I don't know many of these celebrities, and I feel really guilty, but when that guy cut his finger a little bit and then faints ever so daintily, I just can't stop laughing. I'm going to rewind and watch it again.
Imagine passing out from a small cut finger in front of an ex-army captain who has served active duty. The fact that James just said "oh dear" in stead of just bursting out laughing is impressive.
bit unfair- this also happens to me and I'm a medic. Other peoples blood: fine. My own: the reasonable reaction is fainting (according to my body). Very annoying. I'm getting a bit better at not fainting but as soon as I cut (or graze- I do rock climbing and MTBing and I'm constantly getting new grazes) myself I have to look away, wrap it up and try and not play with it. When I have to treat myself- clean out dirt or something- it's a constant battle against waves of nausea and dizziness even though mentally I don't care about the blood. Glad to see someone else who has the same reaction.
@@reeflarkin1919 Yeah, its weird how my brain will flip out over getting a shot or my stomach will be doing backflips if it's me that's cut--even just a paper cut on myself is nauseating--but my kid can have flaps of skin hanging off and be dripping blood and there's not a qualm to be seen. 🤷
"This is going too good. This is just boring tv!" (immediately after) "Now just pop it into the oven for 20 minutes! ... ....... Where... Where's the door gone?" lmaoooo
When I am Jenny's age, I pray to God I can also go "I am a fine figure of a woman" with such conviction. I mean I can barely do that now, but damn, that confidence was beautiful.
If they ever land Idris Elba on this show, they'd pretty much be bringing one of my fantasies to life. That beautiful man, making sweets...oh goodness...
I have been watching the regular show for awhile and I love it but it can be very serious. This one is literally just a bunch of people coming to have fun and I love it.
James Blunt going “oh dear” when joe fell 😂
he almost ran off and helped him and THAT is a true army guy
the former army shone through, but so did the british with the little "oh dear" XD
I laughed so hard at that part
He seems to be a genuinely lovely man. Am I wrong?
He’s so British it’s hilarious
5:30 where's the door gone always gets me
ikr
Have never lost an oven door .. but I do have a moment of panic whenever driving an automatic car - push the brake pedal then omg the clutch is gone.
Alison Hammond is such an icon
i've been laughing for two minutes. that whole episode is just... a masterpiece.
But seriously, where did the door go?
5:20
Alison: things are just running so smoothly for me 😌
Also Alison: wHeRE’s thE dOor GOnE??!
hahahahah i laugh at that everytime hahahaha

I hate when everything is going great until the damn oven door just goes missing.
"Did I just pass out"? "Yeah" "Well that's a great start"
I absolutely adore Allison Hammond. She never fails to make everyone laugh 😂
Her interview with Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling is gold, wouldn't surprise me if that was the best one they had on that press tour.

Considering the topics of most of his documentaries I imagine you'd have to choose a drastically different career path for that to come true.

as an LPN student I'm here to tell you it's not a "fall" it's an "unplanned decent" 😆
I think my favourite part is “did I pass out?” Like the boy was unfazed that it happened the poor guy
Did he pass out from seeing his own blood after cutting himself? It didn't look like a horrible cut.
@@ciderfan823 he said he could sort of see the inside of his finger (?) And that sight of that made him faint

This show is lovely. Celebrities or regular bakers, they have this gentle, beautiful humor. As an American, I wish more of our programming had this sensibility.
It’s not just the programming it’s a reflection of part of the culture. America could never come close to this.
Nobody is holding you hostage here, you're more than welcome to leave
@kfbell11 if a group of effeminate guys baking and passing out at the sight of their tiny cut is part of your pathetic culture, you can have it.
@@kfbell11untrue, it's Hollywood and its sensibilities that are the problem, not the majority of the American people.
They need to get Richard Ayoade on this
I'm surprised he hasn't been on already, considering his bud Fielding is there

IVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR SO LONG
And Chris O'dowd
Allison not loosing the oven door is perhaps one of the funniest things I've seen.
Where's the clips of Michael Sheen peeling an onion and cooking an entire block of lard
And making a perfect Pavlova?
wasn't that from the BBC days?
And haphazardly smearing pink frosting over his Welsh dragon biscuits with his bare hands. ^^
If you read the description it says this is highlights from the 2020 series...
Joe goes down like one of those wavy things outside of a car dealership deflating 😆😆
You mean the wacky-arm-flailing-inflatable-tube-man?

Alison’s “where’s the door gone?!” and look of pure confusion 😂 - love her 💖
I want Jenny’s description of her bake as a ringtone. I want to abscond it as my new mantra and repeat it in front of the mirror every morning.
"I'm a FINE figure of a woman" had me ROLLING.
"Is it meant to look sinister and unedible?" - hilariously direct by Prue but not exactly words you want to hear on a baking show 😂.
6:10 .... Well that's a first. Manages to actually break the glass mixing bowl. Sweet Mother of Pearl...that takes some doing!
I didn’t even know that was possible!

The guy who passe out has amazing comedic timing.

I lost it at “oh dear” 🤣
I'm a Canadian and there's something about British tv shows that I so enjoy, mostly cause we don't have these kind of shows in Canada.
FWIW I quite like the Canadian version of this show. It's nicer and less competitive than the British Bake Off, with more genuine amateurs.
