Thanks for pulling this together, I found your video VERY helpfull in terms of cracking the code on resupply and logistics. I did the AT in 2021 and it was easy-peasy to resupply, I sent one box maybe??? But I found resupplying in towns to be very easy. Best to you and Bob, you guys rock!! Tony (trail name - Smooth)
Hey, I was just watching HikingDancer's video. She is in Tennessee and she said that she would love to visit you guys while she is there. If she was invited, hint, hint, hint. 🤣
Pretty sure AAA could use a trail trip planner:) You’ve got the PCT down pat along with lots of other trails across the US. You also mentioned hiking abroad in the future! You could probably work from home and on trail! There might already be that type of service out there, but talking to someone with first hand experience would be the best! AAA Trail Adventures…Maybe some great company perks!! 😂
I get practicing with your bear canisters. For my shake down hike for the JMT I carried my BV 500 and ended up yes, paying $384 for a Bearikade. I’m 61 , and weight really factors in whether I can or can’t. food? I overly obsessed this and the resupply and then barely ate. I’m still trying to give away, eat or? All of the food I thought I needed. I watched you two through the Sierra and beyond. You are badass.
Good information. Campo also has a Dollar General that is pretty well stocked. I'm looking at doing the PCT SOBO in 2026 and since I live near the southern terminus I'll essentially be walking home.
From watching a lot of 2024 youtube hikers it seems mailing supplies ahead has some issues: 1. Forces you to hike faster, because delivery spot may not be open all day. Hiking faster = injuries. 2. Package may not arrive on time or get diverted. So, you may waste a day waiting. 3. Your hiking appetite may change, so you may end up with more or not enough food. So, I think definitely getting town and resupply details is key, and then being flexible on "buying" or "mailing ahead" can be decided. Also, I think especially planning for a "re-route and re-supply" due to fires this year on PCT seemed particularly tricky. Unless, you are that mysterious hiker known as, Somewhere, who always carried a mega backpack with extra food and clothing. I was worried for RR, who tried to keep up with Somewhere. You cannot do that unless you equally equipped.
Same!! 😊. Which one? 😅. The words say “Forgive and Grow” then I have an oak tree and a. Dogwood surrounding a yin yang. All more or less represent growth and appreciating the perspective I’ve gained from difficulties or challenges
Heyyo, as per usual AMAZING video! Just a heads up that your book link and Bobby's art link seem to be a broken links. Can you add a new link to your book & artwork? Happy trails - hope y'all are well!

I think carrying a mega backpack is the way to go
Yes I 💯 agree. Boujee and RR both had issues with mail and delivery. It’s a tough call sometimes.
Good specific intel
Thank you! 🙏
That was awesome!!!

Thank you for bringing that to my attention! Should be good go now!
Would you have zeroed a little more than you did? There were points when it seemed like you two needed more rest.
I’m not sure about zeroing. Honestly I like Nero’s on trail better. I think we were just tired by the end regardless.
