    Listen. Pretty people actually do have it easier. I’m a 26 year old black woman. I used to be 250 pounds with a low afro from when I cut off my hair to go natural. Then I lost weight to 130 (I’m 5’8). Got sculptra, Botox, lip filler and grew my hair out long. And now I’m literally treated like a GODDESS compared to how I used to be treated. And I wouldn’t even say I’m just pretty. I went from like a 3 to a 5 or 6.And it’s discouraging. Literally members of my own family treat me better, where I couldn’t get a date before, men are lined up, women guard their boyfriends and husbands around me more, people are more helpful. People open doors. Random people complement me. OH! Work is different as well. I’m quite shy and awkward; sometimes, I don’t know the appropriate thing to say in a situation. So I usually don’t talk much to avoid embarrassing myself or saying the wrong thing, and that has never gone well with my coworkers. But now, Where I used to be quiet and weird (even accused of being rude for opting out of office small talk.) I’m now “mysterious” and “mystifying” oh and two of my coworkers have asked me out. When they’ve literally been working with me for 4 years and never so much as told me good morning. It’s scary out here.

I have a couple of male friends and they also have other female friends and I always feel that those female friends don’t want me around or they get in a competitive mood when we hang out. At the same time, they don’t do this with other women who they probably perceive as less threat. It is upsetting because nobody likes to be socially excluded but at the same time I just enjoy myself and stay relaxed while other girls go out of their way to show off etc In a female - female situation I’m usually treated very good and I know that women want to be friends with me, at least when their boyfriends are not around 😂 and. Let's not forget about the tale of Jeremy Meeks, a mixed-race individual who found himself on the wrong side of the law and ended up behind bars. What sets his story apart is the unexpected turn his life took while he was still in jail.
    Before his incarceration, Jeremy's routine mugshot was posted on a police website, and it quickly became an internet sensation, accumulating thousands of likes and capturing the fascination of the public. After serving a 13-month sentence, a remarkable opportunity came his way at the age of 31 - a modelling contract. As if that weren't remarkable enough, Jeremy's journey continued with him marrying the daughter of a billionaire and starting a family.
    Now, I am not saying people who go to jail don't turn their lives around but I have never heard anyone coming out of jail with a modelling contract and marrying the daughter of a billionaire. For most going to jail is a misfortune but for him it was fortunate all because he was a beautiful man.

      @@FormerPessitheRobberfan there’s using make-up to enhance your appearance (short term) and then improving your physical and mental health (long-term). Waking up as what society perceives as “flawless” doesn’t just happen. Even if we’re made to believe it does, these people take care of themselves with long-term improvement in mind.
      Sure, some might benefit from genetically excellent bone structure, but that doesn’t rule out the chance that those who don’t have these (tiny) advantages cannot be perceived as natural beauties.
      When you think about it, all human faces are shaped by the uniform shape of a skull. Slight differences in the height of cheekbones (and other facial structure that is considered attractive) are minuscule, particularly when compared to the similarities between the overall shape of our skull, which signifies our species to be Homo Sapiens, and not those of our truly “uglier” ancestors Neanderthalensis.
      Considering this, the likelihood that the general contour of our facial structure is the root cause for some human faces deemed unappealing is quite frankly impossible. Yes, society seems to have the upper hand in this matter by having the majority believe they need to fit a certain standard. However, if you’re able to convince yourself that authenticity goes above anything else, you’ll create (and often exceed) your own standard, which simultaneously adds to how you are perceived as an individual.
      Have you ever thought about how people who are perceived as outstandingly beautiful by the general public are those who have the most unusual facial features? Their eyes could be wide-set, their cheekbones less pronounced, or their dental structure creates a smile showing “too much” gums.
      In this video alone, I’ve seen so many faces that don’t seem to have “all of the best facial features,” yet their unusual facial or dental structure doesn’t decrease their attractiveness. If anything, it amplifies their uniqueness, which captures our attention because they’re not average-looking.
      The moral of my story, and I think also the primary goal of the videos on this channel, is to share insights on this one thing;
      How we are perceived, average-looking, gorgeous, or ugly is mainly due to the energy we put into ourselves and how we look at our unique beauty. It’s the energy we embrace that determines whether or not we are perceived as attractive individuals.
      Hope this brings a little bit of clarity 🙂

As someone who's spent thousands on plastic surgery, I really learned the best way to actually change yourself is to change how you behave not how you look. A 10/10 when confident has a wow effect but a 3/10 when confident is still invincible for most of the time or annoying or delusional.
      You spent money on plastic surgeries probably got your looks improved you don't necessarily have to be one of the world's extremely beautiful (10) but if you're above average (6), you have some of this Halo Effects.

You don't have to be pretty to be rich nor does being in the top 1pct of good looking people guarantee economic success. In places like Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, India you'll find stupefyingly lovely women in hovels. The genetic lottery is also where you're born, in which conditions you're born.

    I’d say yes they do ! but depending on situation however in dating like being chosen for a marriage or serious relationship (most) men tend to choose the less attractive woman, (the average looking one) than the attractive one. And unfortunately a lot of women do see other attractive women as competition.
    But in both cases I’d say they act like this because of the lack of confidence. If a man has enough confidence he chooses an attractive woman as well and if a confident woman sees another attractive woman she won’t see her as competition..💁‍♀️

    Duh. When I graduated college I worked a full time corporate job but took a second job as a bouncer/security at the world famous Troubadour in West Hollywood. The owner's daughter who managed the club directed the head security guy to put me at the front door, the most coveted position over all the other guys because she said I "was hot and would attract females walking by." I'm tall (6' 6") dark and handsome. In my 20s I managed to date an Olympic figure skater, a sitcom actress and an actress from the American Pie movies who has gone on to 5 Emmy nominations and I was and am a complete nobody. All three of those women approached me, the American Pie actress gave me her phone number when I was at a restaurant on a date with another girl. I'm 44 now and still get looks from women half my age.

    It is interesting to me how "looks" are so important but the way things are weighted can be surprising. I can say from experience, I grew up with missing limb but other than that, I exhibit most "favourable" features, from a nice slender and well proportioned tall frame (6ft3 / 190 cm) to nice facial features, strong blue eyes, masculine jawline, deep voice, perfect white teeth etc. And despite having a "glaring physical fault", it has always been easier for me to find dates (now married for 13 years) than it was for many of my "normal" friends. An ex once even said she was superficial and she would never have gone on a date with me if I didn't have that face.

    I'll say this much (coming from a male that's considered handsome from most females btw) that yes, having looks has its pros but it definitely has its cons. Also, here's some food for thought:
    I've spoken with attractive people of both sexes and many of them shared stories of being molested as kids or teens. The moral of the story is that being attractive (especially at an early age) can bring about attention (particularly sexual) that shouldn't be welcomed or wanted.

    Hi Qoves Studio something I've always wondered is if women know the power of beauty and know men are attracted to beauty why do they never mention it when giving other women dating advice on how to attract men?
    I've seen so called dating experts bend over backwards to insure not to mention anything about beauty nor advising them to increase their own physical appearance when telling women "what attracts a man!" The reason I ask is because of the countless women here in America that honestly seem to believe that if their academic achievements and their high position job titles is a equivalent substitute for investing in their own physical beauty.
    I just genuinely don't know if they truly are confused about why a highly successful and attractive 36 year old man would choose to date a beautiful 32 year old Starbucks barista with a sexy body that only finished high school over a 38 year old average looking woman that owns her own company with a PhD but, she is slightly overweight. Are they just pretending to be shocked and confused that beauty is so important in dating? Do they really believe that (for women) financial achievements is just as alluring to men as physical beauty?

    • @1commonplace519
      @1commonplace519 7 месяцев назад +6

      At least, they're financially secure and have their intelligence to be proud of. If that doesn't allure men so be it. Don't want women to hold themselves back just to land a man. And plenty of men aren't as vapid in my limited experience.

    • @renachiiuwu6463
      @renachiiuwu6463 7 месяцев назад +3

      It’s because they know that physical attractiveness is important in dating and expanding options over all. it’s actually the men that don’t acknowledge how their physical attractiveness can affect their dating options. Women don’t put effort into their appearance to simply “attract men” because attracting them isn’t hard but to attract men who r above average or out of their league either in look’s or 💸. That’s why the 80/20 rule exist, and why women have the upper hand in the dating market.

    • @333angeleyes
      @333angeleyes 7 месяцев назад +1

      @1commonplace519 Ouch! Or at least I would say that if you didn't completely miss my point. The question was simply why women try to use academic and / or financial status as an equivalent to beauty when trying to attract men.
      I know you were trying to put me in my place with your comment, so okay, then why do countless studies show that men prioritize beauty? Are all those researchers also vapid? Is the data manipulated to make men vapid?

    • @333angeleyes
      @333angeleyes 7 месяцев назад +1

      @renachiiuwu6463 I actually agree with you about men not putting enough effort in their physical appearance; most just try to use money and status as a substitute.
      However, I say I don't understand how your comment answered my question. Does the highly financially successful but average looking woman really think she is on the same level or above the hot looking but average income woman in terms of competing for a highly desirable man?

      Plot attractiveness VS probability/rarity on a graph
      If plotted according to percentile, both are equal
      If plotted according to "score given by women", then you'd be correct
      This just means women's standards are super high
