SCP-2484 is a jar containing approximately .95 liters (1024 g) of a substance that is compositionally identical to mayonnaise, hereafter referred to as SCP-2484-A, that possesses numerous anomalous qualities that begin to manifest when the substance is removed from the jar and consumed by a vertebrate animal. When SCP 2484 's contents are removed, it will begin spontaneously refilling at a rate of approximately 2 mL an hour. SCP2484 -A is able to be destroyed by any means applicable to non-anomalous mayonnaise.
After consumption, the subject will begin metabolizing SCP-2484-A into small, gamete-like cells via a process that is not yet understood. Over the next 3-6 hours, these cells will develop into small (~1 mm) nematoid worms. Approximately 500 worms are produced per gram of SCP-2484-A consumed.
For the next 5 to 40 hours, these worms will begin to consume the tissues of their host organism, and will grow to lengths of up to 12 cm. When the host has been completely consumed, the worms will attempt to eat each other, and will proceed until only one worm is left, which will have grown to a length between 20 and 30 cm. This organism will then enter a dormant state, and will die within 4 days. If worms are removed at any point, they will die within 5 hours. No attempts to save affected organisms have met with success, and consumption of sufficient amounts of SCP-2484-A is always lethal.

Judging by the story, the sandwich store owner probably didn't aware that this Unsafe Mayo was his family's treasure and it must never be open without instructions, his ancestors must have forgotten to remind him and his descendants.
Considering this is SCP… this is sadly quite a plausible theory. Though why it’s in a modern jar is a mystery.
I feel bad for the homeless man and the store owner.

GOC destroys the violent and active one
The Serpent Hand manages the benevolent one and providing need of living for them.
SCP gathers informations regarding the SCP, and use the information to help the benevolent SCP so they can life without causing harm, or defend themselves against stronger violent SCP

But let’s not forget all three of their flaws. -The GOC has at times caused mass civilian deaths and even doomed humanity with their violent actions without realizing the consequences,(examples: SCP-2002 and SCP-4264). While it is also true they try not to harm non violent SCPS, that’s not to say they are small extremist sects that do within them (SCP 1609 and 1522).
-Pretty much every organization except chaos insurgency has a point with the SCP treatment of some SCPs and D-class.
-Serpent hand breaking the masquerade (which by itself is a terrible idea) has also caused cases where other evil factions can exploit info found from the SCPs to do evil shit. Plus the fact that they are loosely organized allowing extremism to run rampant without them realizing even if they stop harmful SCPs with the foundation. Plus the fact that they are willing to massacre and kill GOC and SCP operatives horribly if needed (forgetting the fact that they too are just trying to defend humanity)

Given how every surviving person with the parasitic mayo encounter is given amnestics & no other SCP-related shit is occurring in & around the sandwich shop or its patrons, it's safe to assume that the place is left alone to do what it has always been doing, as only that jar of mayo needs to be contained & it's already been done after all. if the foundation were to do anything else to the shop, it would've been documented.

Not only did you explained an SCPs that later became one of my favorites, but the story itself was the best one that you’ve ever made. The shopkeeper was both the most humane and well aware character out of these stories, in both questioning the jar of mayo later on to even preparing himself for what was to come. Keep up the excellent work of these stories/SCPs in these videos. 😁😁😁
