Imagine having an implant suddenly become infested. Like a pace maker, or internal insulin pump.
Considering Contact is needed. It would be unlikely as new implants are completely internal.
@@silverhawkscape2677 You’re right, but they could be infested before the operation to put them inside the person.
@@AzureTheAvian Honestly the infected pacemaker would just stay inside. It's a device that helps with heart problems so the instance would try and stay inside. Although image how uncomfortable it would be.
It wouldn't really do anything, because pacemakers and internal insulin pumps aren't dangerous weapons or anything, and are supposed to remain inside the body, helping with certain conditions, so the infected pump/pacemaker would probably just do exactly that.
@@rfacproductions6552 No, remember what happened to the doll.
Seeing Dr. Bob having an SCP-658 as his pet is very, very wholesome.
And it was a phone
I’d like the keep the keyboard one. It showed no threat. And can easily be deactivated
@@tiktok_content9505 It spread like wildfire, what do you mean it showed no threat ^^
@@Cody_Cigar It spread. But didn’t try to kill anyone. Probably because it cant
@@Cody_Cigar Well SCP-658 embryos act in a way that's associated with their host, so the keyboard, not being very dangerous or hostile technology (all you do is type with them, they aren't guns or anything), wouldn't show any threat.
Some how less scary and disturbing than actual botflies
Yeah
Yeah. Imagine a server room or a high tech skyscraper.
Botflies - organic hosts
SCP-658 - mechanical hosts
I went down an unfortunate video watching binge. I hate everything related to them
When bob says “non anomalous”
Everyone: oh no
10:31 the broken god cultist looking like a tech priest is so fitting.
the machine god smiles upon you
thats the gravity gun from half life 2
2:46 this transformation is actually surprisingly peaceful
This is a super dangerous SCP since it can be on any objects. Beware of every object you use or touch.
Imagine a computer that control a nuclear bomb.
oh this defiantly do not sound like the thing
Just smash it

@@emarythomp are you mad? Just smash it lmao its that ez
2:30 You'd think the Foundation would ask Mr. Incredible for help taking down dangerous anomalies.

@@HypeFox That would be a good match up.
This SCP really went from 0 to a hundred in the first few minutes ,holy shit.
Ikr 😭 tf I didn't expect the watch to turn into a fly of all things
Still way WAAAAY less creepy than real life botflies. They litteraly grow in our skins as maggots while we're alive. They capture mosquitos and lay their eggs on their belly so that when they bits us. The eggs go in the hole and the maggots grow there. And its all 100% real
Deadass
@@magusperde365 jesus christ
@@meganbermudez299 It's one of the few SCPs where reality is more terrifying
I think the concept of this is hilarious, like a bump turns into a monster, and also I didn't know a toy could go from woody to the spider that demon child David had
I think its kinda funny that when he says "innocent" he points at the gun but when he says "disastrous" he points at a toy.
The fact that it has 4 legs and a non-compact eye means it isn’t an insect. So it’s probably some sort of fungus (What I think at least)
Or its just an anomaly
@@nang9484 yeah
It looks like the use of the term 'botfly' has more to do with the manner in which it seems to parasitise and reproduce using devices, than it resembling an actual insect.
@@benny_lemon5123 I get that part, like seahorses or dogwood or whatever. I just immediately went to insect for some reason when I first saw the SCP. Im thinking to realistically right now :(
also they are a robotic form of life, so botfly is a good punny name for em
Wait, what if the hunting bus is also a deformed bus? It has 4 legs too! Also, it might be Mechaine in nature! Mechanicus priest was a nice reference.
"I have done nothing, you reprobates! Only coating this relay with the holy oils of the Omnissiah!"
You, and guy in comments may be a bit wrong. The thing is Mars Priesthood against any AI, and allows only most simple ones to be used, like castellan robots. By this logic mechanicus could be ok with these guys but, the thing is that there's several reasons why actually Adeptus Mechanicus would purge them out of existence:
1. Is it even AI? Or organic creature? Such ambiguity of genesis would probably disturb most of loyal mechanicus, after all usually you can see no line between machine and flesh only in something corrupted by chaos, like obliterators. They may research this SCP, but only for writhing down info into book of forbidden things. Of course they could use it as a weapon, but considering catastrophic consequences of 658s breach they can consider it too dangerous, plus if they actually infect only man made tech makes it pretty situational.
2. It's probably not made by a human, and by their law there must be only technologies invented by man
3. It's uncontrollable destructive parasite, which will spoil their holy machines, it'll be unacceptable for mechanicus
Me be like in nutshell: *RIDES THE HUNTING BUD*
Maybe it's from the same branch of species like how ants are related to bees and how we are related to other primates like chimpanzees.
@@kamewantor4594 Well it was kind of a comparison between the Church of the Broken God and the Mechanicus due to their pretty obvious similarities.
gotta love this guy honestly. the videos are exciting and relaxing - keep up the good work man!
Indeed
Yep
They are real though :)
Relaxing?
Not man dr bob!😃😊
Your videos are very interesting and inspirational, with remarkable animation and the scariest scps you really go above and beyond Dr.Bob and it’s greatly appreciated.
2:36 is that the guy from the incredibals
Yes
I am convinced that there is someone who really likes writing about SCPs with spider legs.
The fact they used the Mr. incredible office meme for the keyboard spider makes me have so much more love for this channel
I feel like the sentience aspect the author had in mind is being rather completely ignored, it seems like they're a little more than mindless insects everything from the mimicing the child's voice to the "ask and we shall answer." Keyboard kinda shows that
The botfly instance was only mimicing what the office worker was using the keyboard for- "How can I help you, do you have any questions- Ask and we will answer..." then waiting an hour to respond to the customer, i.e. start rampaging again. The keyboard's pattern was no different than the child's toy mimicing his voice.
I looove that Dr Bob does obscure scps! Most channels stick to popular ones when there's still so much out there!
The guy in the beginning looks like Patrick Bateman! That's a nice touch!
The tank was really like: *"Autobots, roll out"*
5:05
Basically Brawl in the SCP universe
Transformers, robots in disguise
Transformers, I think it just killed that guy!
So transformers in scp universe wat
Okay… I know that probably wasn’t a reference to 40k but I love the fact that he put a tech priest in the vid, because by the omniesah this tech heresy must be purged!
Indeed...I fear this infectious scourge may not beu able to purged manually and may require...the Final solution. May the God emperor protect
"$20,000.99" lmao
Also, walking, living, gun that can literally create its own ammo is both adorable and badass.
Holy shit, nvmd, lol. Living spider tank is soooo much more badass.
Imagine something like a bazooka, a machine gun, something nuclear like a an actual NUKE, a battleship, and other crazy dangerous machine things infected by SCP-658. That’ll be both terrifying and badass
The Easter eggs in this video made it a goldmine. We had:
Mr incredible
The Gravity Gun
Woody
WH40K Tech Priest
And possibly a heck tonne more.
The businessman looks a bit like Christian Bale’s character from American Psycho as well.
Great vid BUT 9:56 "kitchen appliances" was meaning a toaster, jug, microwave etc not a knife which the scp wouldn't infect as it's not technology
“Injuring Dr. Jack Bright” Phew … nothing to worry about.

The adeptus mechanicus at the end
*Incredible* reference, doc!
Also this one reminds me a lot of SCP-3023: And Then It Decided To Be An Angry Spider
Uncanny moment
How on earth is this Euclid, when the source of the anomaly cannot be exactly pinpointed (meaning it could pop up anywhere), it cannot be securely contained in any high security fashion, and it poses a potential extinction or restructuring event for humanity?
This is CLEARLY a keter.
Imagine the entire world's military technology getting assimilated, foundation might have trouble with that one...
indeed, better safe than sorry, and I guess it's a real world lesson that technology never should have been made to kill to begin with
Warhammer and SCP confirmed due to the very specific look of the cultist.
I find it sad that some of the more innocent SCPs can accidentally make an end of the world scenario, those little guys look too cute when they're not a man-made object that would be dangerous (I'm talking about the little watch ones)
Even the Procrastination Rock can cause the end of the world!
Not really cute, especially not cute as a tank with spider legs.
2:41 Why does he look like Bob Parr? 😆
I was wondering the same thing 😂
It’s intentional as it’s a reference to that one meme of the noob vs pro modeler. So at least Dr.Bob likes to have fun with covering SCP’s
2:08 including Sophia's name didn't just made it rhyme with Bright, but also.. umm..... "Bright and Light"
Television: *sprouts legs and an eyball*
Grandma: Why is the channel different??
This SCP could indirectly cause XK scenarios since it can free other dangerous SCPs from containment.
I can't imagine what would happen if these things got access to anything nuclear powered
Well the way I see it, bombs could be ticking time bombs, pun intended.
But the thing that is scary that they probably won’t just explode randomly, from the gun to tank, they might just run towards a bunch of people or building, then detonate, now imagine that with a nuke, or what about a microwave, it might just send out the radiation inside to outside. As cute as this thing appears to be, it can literally destroy everything
YESSSSSSS
*AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
Or if they just infected a nuke
@@entity3760 oh no end world
Has anyone else noticed the two guys working on the tank or from FURY The guy with the mustache was the loader and the other guy was the commander
Whoever is the animator on these
They surely love putting references
Um sir the tank has grown legs
What is interesting is that the amount of time it takes to manifest will grow exponentially based on the size and complexity of the object. I think that's a neat way too see how larger instances can be found and destroyed, in a realistic fashion.
This takes "it can't just sprout legs and walk away" to a new level
5:11
The tank that was drew there look very similar to a Panther tank.
Random Tip:
Dont be scared if a loved one dies, just remember, "It Is From The Past, It Doesnt Matter, You Can Learn From It" It might take you years to understand, but it is useful
I think it's a crime to actually NOT reasearch as what would happen if the phone that got touched (impregnated) by the mutated SCP-658 ( 9:04 ) tranformed.
My theory is all the objects touched buy a normal 1 eyed 4 legged SCP-658, resulted in a single lump, and when the object transformed, it grew 4 legs and a single eye which most of the times are located where the lump was.
so... when the phone impregnated with the mutated SCP-658, i think that the phone also will grow 8 legs and 2 eyes... which does very little to change the population growth since the phone just is a single SCP-658.. with just more eyes and legs. ¯\(°_°)/¯ ..
11:18 hold on.. is that a machine putting the scp in there.
OH NO.
i believe its just tweezers hehe
I guess I don't understand the classification system if a self-replicating infection that's loose in the world and can suddenly appear, seemingly by itself with no way to prevent is only Euclid.
right.... I was just this thinking this
I think it's because it has already been contained.
And only has minor breakouts every now and again.
@@Cheesemeister27 so not contained, can literally suddenly appear in a weapons storehouse or armory
Honestly, half the SCPs I read are incorrectly classified. How is SCP 1048 (literally a teddy bear that can replicate itself, and cause a bit of harm) keter, but this thing euclid? Builder Bear might have memetic effects, but it doesn't pose a danger to humanity as a whole.
@@horvathbenedek3596 Keter is how hard it can be contained.. That bear is very much hard to contain
I want to see what this does to someone (or something) under the effects of SCP-217, "The Clockwork Virus"
Or what would happen if it somehow infected SCP 882, "His Broken Heart".
An XK class scenario on a level similar to 'Insect Hell' event
I think it may be mechaine in nature and at the same time, it wont control Mechaine parts, the other way around
just picturing what would happen if it infected scp-2399, not looking good
Testing request has been denied by O5 Council.

Wow this episode is full of pop culture references
Bob Parr's keyboard turned into a living organism and the workers first reaction was to type a complete sentence on it 😂
I actually got a question: When the tank mutated, what happened to the crews inside it?
Considering the instance of this scp takes control of the entire object it becomes, they are probably stuck inside and killed when it is destroyed. It could trap them inside and due to how dangerous the big ones are, he is unable to be helped.
@@sk8terboy635 This is a really good thought, but what also may happen is that they may be digested, if this thing even has an internal organ system, but I believe they just somehow die
@@friendlyavocado4319 ooh, yeah okay. Maybe because they're a metal sort of creature, they're just crushed on the inside by its internal organs, which can be also assumed to be metal.
I would suspect one of three scenarios, possibly 4.
1. They Abandoned Tank after they lost control but the Animators forgot to show it.
2. They stayed in the Tank and did thier best to get control back but were killed when the Tank was Destroyed.
3. The transformation process may reconfigure the internal space of vehicles leaving no place for humans, crushing or otherwise eliminating them.
4. The transformation did not alter the interior space significantly but intentionally or unintentionally sealed the hatches somehow trapping the crew inside until the Tank was destroyed.
@@mouseblackcat5263 5. The tank subsumed them, making them a component of it.

Why is this classified as Euclid? I would think it would be more of a keter class class scout due to it being difficult to contain and having the potential of ending the world
Its method of containment is not costly nor complicated; just a steel box with some books on it. That's why its Euclid even considering how devastating an outbreak could be. There is actually lots of euclids which could destroy the world as we know it if not contained.
@@anothertarnishedone5960 don’t they show up spontaneously and can be microscopic in size?
The class is the difficulty of the anomaly of being contain, not the dangerous level of the anomaly

Very interesting episode, however there's one thing that caught my attention.
The pattern between all the objects that can be affected by SCP-658 was technology related to mechanical or electrical devices. How would a kitchen knife be an object of possession for a SCP-658, when it doesn't have circuitry or mechanical components?

This one actually seems somewhat self-limiting.
Its shown that it requires the physical components of the infected Item to produce a body for itself. It is highly unlikely that the cellphone infected with Two Larva would have created Two separate fully functional Anomalies, rather if anything was produced at all they likely would have been "substandard" specimens, each only having half the cellphone's original components. Therefore any fear of a "Super" Botfly laying hundreds or thousands of larva in a single object is probably unjustified.
Secondly, items need to be of a sufficient complexity in order to be infected in the first place, and apparently also are required to be composed of Plastic or Metal, not natural materials. This GREATLY limits the objects available to these creatures and again limits thier spread.
You greatly underestimate the danger of this anomaly. If released in the wild, just a _single_ instance would be able to cause the end of human civilization as we know it.
@@thalesh680 (Puts technology in bags n boxes when not in use then arms myself with flyswatter) You were saying?
@@mouseblackcat5263 Chances are you wouldn't notice the anomaly and before you know it, it has already infected your electronic devices, essentially sending you back to the pre-industrial era.
@@thalesh680 I have lived in the "pre-industrial era" a good portion of my life, growing up homeless in Central Mexico and the Southern US, so thats absolutely no problem for me personally, However the smallest these things can be is 5mm in diameter, and those are rare as most are much larger and very easy to spot, so keeping them out of things would be simple, using primitive traps made of natural materials such as pits and deadfalls to capture or destroy them would be highly effective, performing daily checks on equipment for the very obvious larva would quickly spot infected items during their extremely long gestation cycle.
No, noone with any sense and a handful of knowledge has anything to fear from these things. They are not anywhere near as insidious as the organic Botfly that is regularly the cause of death for livestock and humans all over the world.
@@mouseblackcat5263
"However the smallest these things can be is 5mm in diameter, and those are rare as most are much larger and very easy to spot, so keeping them out of things would be simple"
The problem is that once they've reproduced enough, it's pretty much impossible to stop them.
"using primitive traps made of natural materials such as pits and deadfalls to capture or destroy them would be highly effective"
Then why haven't mousetraps solved the mice infestation problem, which affects almost every single city? That only works for individual instances, not an entire army.
"performing daily checks on equipment for the very obvious larva would quickly spot infected items"
Because we can certainly check for small imperfections all the billions of mechanical items in existence, including smartphones, computers, vehicles, watches, clocks, airplanes, firearms, etc.
"during their extremely long gestation cycle."
It's actually extremely short. Only a few days or weeks at most, which is less than that of rats or pigs.
