Walking On Air, Legendary Lovers, and International Smile could’ve easily replaced Birthday and This is How We Do as singles. Those 3 Songs would’ve easily landed high in the top 10.
This album is like that person who seems happy and colorful but has a lot of trauma inside. :(

She opened the Prism tour in a giant triangle with a silver outfit and light up long black hair. The triangle folded down with smoke blowing everywhere and she was in the middle of the triangle and started right off with Roar. So iconic.

Prism supposed to be that dark, kinda haunting sound. That was what Katy said, but she ended up with pure pop sensation. So Katy continued her idea into her next project, which is "witness". Anyway witness Album is actually pretty great, i personally rank it as her top 3 Albums behind "Prism & Teenage Dreams". Witness isn't bad, but people just made it look like that. Cause she speaks about her political opinion and against the music industry.

Spiritual was written with John Mayer (He's in the credits). Both made an album in 2013 (Prism/Paradise Valley) and they said they influenced each other. They also have a song together (Who you love) and he wrote an entire album about her after their final breakup (The search for everything, 2017).
The sad/breakup songs of Prism (Ghost, By the grace of god) are mostly about her divorce with Russell Brand, the love songs (Unconditionally) are probably about John.
PD: Witness is a GREAT album, the singles don't do it justice.

Witness is an amazing album!!! Can't wait for your reaction, people were so out to get Katy during her witness Era and I never understood why, I guess people couldn't except her growth as an artist (and the fact she cut her hair). Witness truely is a masterpiece 😊
By the grace of god is probably her most vulnerable song, it's about her experiences with suicidal thoughts and depression. It's very sad to remember that even after this song her struggle extended into the witness era. Fans don't understand her enough and continue to criticize her. Luckily as she said, she got back her smile and now she's thriving🌸🌸🌸
Then we just go back to International Smile and bop.

Yeah the first half of the album is definitely the radio bops and the second half is the deep emotional section. Prism is my fave album of hers too!
I did that also, i also noticed the second half was all ballads and nine songs of this album was a pop ballad (because first half included ''Unconditionally'', the only ballad of the first half and the most positive ballad of the album). It's less oriented to the dance to ''Teenage Dreams''. YOu definitly heard to this album seduced the more adult public, without negliging the young public of the two first albums, with many up-beat like ''Walking on Air'' (very House oriented), ''Dark Horse'' (hugely hip-hop) or the two most pop up-beat songs of this album (''Roar'' and ''International Smile'').
i'm a katycat for 8 years, and still crying in Part of Me movie until when Ratsell Brand texted her for divorce before she start her show in Brasil, if you love Katy no matter what like this❤️ she is so worth it to look up as a role model in my childhood and so on, people don't know and still hating on her. I don't have a clue, she is just keeps inspiring me to pursue my dreams.
Her tours are INCREDIBLE, you won’t regret going to see her live 😊

OH MY GOD, I've been waiting and dying for this album reaction. I really loved your One of the Boys & Teenage Dream: Complete Confection Reactions so I was really looking forward for your Prism Album Reaction because honestly, this is indeed one of the best albums released and there were a lot of songs in this album that could have been a single, and undoubtedly be a hit. Prism has evolved into like a more mature candy land, you know a lot of songs in the album were more empowering and full of emotion of what Katy is feeling in her life and what she wants to let us know, ponder and recognize; especially the songs that start from Ghost until the last track, I mean she delve deeper into life.
I want to suggest that you react to her Prismatic World Tour perfoming her songs from this album and I guarantee the emotions you felt while reacting (especially the sad and crying emotions) will triple when you watch those.
Anyways, thanks sis, I'm looking forward for more of your Katy Perry reactions and other reactions / reviews.

In your 'Fine Line' reaction, I saw a comment about a girl called Rina Sawayama, I thought: 'wthell is she?' so I went to listen her album and I was blown away.
Just two days almost after I heard it and it's definitelt my AOTY, it surpassed 'Chromatica' and 'Future Nostalgia'
What I try to say is that is so amazing how you discover new talents in music channel reactions, and how this album that I got completely obsessed with was discovered in your channel.

FINALLY, Love Me is getting the recognition it deserved.
Her Prismatic World tour was phenomenal, one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. I think this album is absolutely amazing, I love pretty much every track bar one or two but this will always be one of my favourites!!!!!!!🐯
It could've been as massive in sales and streaming as Teenage Dream, but her label decided to discard making more singles. Just to understand that Walking on Air outpeaked Daisies and some of her recent songs not even being sent to radio!

i just learned this recently. but the reason why the songs are like split in 2 sides is because its supposed to represent a prism, like when light (Katy) hits a prism it reflects the colors (The sad and happy sides of the song)!

by the grace of god is about her suicidal thoughts after her ex husband filed for divorce, “was 27 surviving my return to Saturn” she is talking about her return to home after her California Dreams Tour, there are so little references to parts of her life that are so heartbreaking to hear, cause you can literally hear her pain in that song, especially in the acoustic version.

Fun Fact: Iggy azalea and Rita Ora black widow was originally on this album and just Katy Perry on the song (the demo can be found on RUclips) but she removed it and sold it because she thought it was too similar to Dark Horse!
Hi, Caitlin! I couldn't have agreed with your comments more! I really love the whole "Prism" album, but especially everything from "Ghost" to the end of the album really hits me in the feels. Those are the kinds of songs that I'm singing in the shower, when I'm in a blue mood and need to let out the feelings. Lame, but true! I'm fairly new to your channel -- loving these reaction videos!

PRISM is literally one of the best albums ever. The only song that isn't all that great imo is This Is How We Do. Birthday and Dark Horse are alright? But the other 13 are just... wow. I definitely agree that the 2nd half is better. *throws Grammy at Katy*
''Birthday'' was one of my favorites songs of her and like this dark hip-hop groove in ''Dark Horse'' (not like the rap part at all), but ''This is How We Do'' was a catastroph.

I highly recommend trying to keep a super open mind with Witness. The music doesn't sound like the Katy that the general public is used to, which is why it was criticized so harshly, but the lyrics are beautiful and it's obvious how much effort and thought she put into every song. It's an amazing album!
