As a non biased person, who is not even a fan of her and knows little about her music, I must say: she is NOT okay, and she needs help, she is clearly not eating and/or depressed. Hope she gets better ♡

Ariana has been my favorite singer since 2014. I swear people have been body shaming her for YEARS and a lot of the time it’s coming from malicious intent. People act like celebrities don’t see their comments but they do. Glad to see that she’s addressed this in a mature way and ready to put it at rest. I use to party and drink alcohol and gained a tremendous amount of weight. But when I stopped I lost it all. Peoples weight fluctuates I know this firsthand as I recently gain 30 lbs during Covid. Now I need to lose it. Hey you’re human. It’s ok to be human and fluctuate in weight. No one is calling me out bc I’m not famous.

Came to say the same. Not all of us want to be a size 4 or 6. Some of us are naturally small and being small is normal to us even at a size 1. Being skinny doesn’t mean you’re unhealthy. It’s just that we’re so petite whether we gain or lose weight, it shows a lot. If I gained 5 pounds my stomach will be a pouch and face rounder. If I lost 5 pounds my face is much slimmer and tummy is flat. It’s just what it is.

I don’t necessarily think folks were trying to body shame her. I think it should be OK to express genuine concern if it’s done in humane way.
As someone whos dealt with an eating disorder myself, I've noticed Ariana Grande has been struggling with an eating disorder/ body dismorphia for years now. Shes only gotten thinner since her time on Disney Channel and now shes getting to a weight where is becoming extremely noticible. Many with an eating disorder like Ari blame it on just "eating healthier now" and give all kinds of excuses to portray that they are "healthier now" at their new low weight when they are clearly not. Not to mention, Ariana has seemed to undergo several plastic surgeries to make her face and nose appear thinner, only uses photos with filters, and will only allow photographs of hers to be published from her left or "good" side. These are all signs that she has major insecurities and or an eating disorder/bosy dismorphic disorder. Ive noticed this for years now. Too many people making excuses for her on why she looks so different. People really are Naive. This is not a glow up. Maybe its a cry for help or attention. I'm sorry but being that thin is not "her healthy" as she puts it, or anyone's healthy. That's just an excuse to justify her new look as not being from an ED and an attempt to normalize her new weight. I hope she gets the help shes needed for a long time. Its about time people are finally noticing it.

Anorexia is a mental illness. It's normal that she developed it growing up in the public eye. Many other female celebrities have suffered from it. i went vegan 4 years ago and gained like 5kg over this time ahah (i'm 62kg and 163cm now) and my boyfriend gained a lot of muscle, he's vegan and works out. It's really the quantity and what people eat! you can reallyyy mantain the weight/gain it with a vegan diet :)
It’s because she turned one obsession into another. She went from pills and alcohol to controlling and restricting the food she intakes. She is vegan only because it allows her to restrict more. She needs help

Idk. The need for the surgeries and lack of acknowledgment for her real alterations is scary. This woman has been severely traumatized, while being put on a microscope in the process, and she lost herself in it all. This isn’t the same girl who won the woman of the year award and gave us that very authentic speech. Something about her now is un human like and it’s frightening. Manifesting better health for you! Whenever I’m stressed and don’t have much appetite, I go for smoothies/shakes! It’s very light on the stomach and you can pack on necessary calories!
Everyone wishes you well but not one person answered your question. They way you get help is to go to a doctor and tell them the complete truth on what’s been going on with you. They will get you the treatment they think is best for you. It’s a very long and very hard process to heal but you can. You need support and you need to not be ashamed to ask someone for help. A eating disorder is a mental disorder so you will have to also speak to a psychologist and will most likely be recommended a facility where they can work out a treatment plan that meets your specific needs and monitor you till you can be an out patient. I really hope you heal and get the help you need because a eating disorder can get VERY dangerous.

Regardless if the comments are coming from a good place or not, It can be genuinely so unhelpful to have people comment on her body. Nobody and I mean nobody, knows what she’s going through. So I think it’s best to keep the comments about her body to yourself. As someone who’s suffered from an eating disorder in the past I know that people making comments about my weight made me feel shittier if anything, and it eventually sent me through a relapse.
why did she adapt this 'baby voice' recently? it's concerning, her image really changed ever since she got those 'asian inspired' surgeries.. most likely why the weighloss as well - asians are genetically more petite, this is just odd to watch. hoping she's okay.

Ariana has been a vegan for YEARS. She changed her eating habits a long time ago. This past year and a half, she lost a lot of weight. Minus the alcohol, she was already eating healthy. And about the antidepressants, she looked more like herself when she was on them. Depression doesn't just go away. I personally have a genetic strain of depression from my mother's side of the family where my body doesn't make enough serotonin. Many people quit taking their medication when it is working because they dont think it is needed anymore. Her entire attitude has changed since she got married. She is much less outgoing than she used to be. More timid and shy. She's not the same Ariana that I grew up with. Honestly, I think she is over-working herself. She looks exhausted all the time. It's not just the weight that is scaring people. It's her entire attitude transplant
i've been a fan for years and i can assure u she's not overworking herself at all. she hasn't been doing much besides the wicked movie and her make-up brand. idk what her schedule is rn but i'm pretty sure it's nothing compared to how much she worked from 2013-2019
i completely agree! as someone’s who has major depressive disorder and other illnesses, this is correct. it completely changes you when you’re off them and you fall into the depression hole again however the antidepressants just make you numb so most of us just stop taking them and it actually gets worse by doing so.
also she lost a lot of weight since she's better at controlling what she eats. plus it seems like she's been trying to drink less alcohol (which is amazing, in the peak of her depression she was drinking a lot). the fact that she was already skinny when she was eating with no self-control explains why it looks like she had a "dramatic" weight loss
@@repsmila she was also on the voice. She was filming Don't Look Up. She planned a wedding, and got married. And she also put out an album last year, promoting Positions through live performances and music videos. Photoshoots. There's a lot of work involved that goes beyond the scenes.
She and her husband also did many renovation projects to their home(s) and other real estate ordeals. They literally bought an old cottage in 2020, fixed it up, and sold it very recently. Then they also had to purchase a new home. I'm not saying her life is easy or hard, but it looks like there are lots of moving parts that can contribute to stress.

I love her sincerity. You can just feel it. When you are naturally small like her and famous ppl look for anything to judge on. It stems from people's lack of confidence and unhappiness. When you look at the people who are "concerned" about her appearance you realize they have no room to speak. She Is beautiful and I hope she sees that she is very loved and truly supported
