My favorites are logan, days of future past, and first class with 4th place being apocalypse (I honestly don't know why people hate apocalypse so much. Maybe because I'm not a comics reader)
"I thought you were an X-Men fan?!? How are you OK with this?" "You weren't there, we grew up with Shaq as Steel!" This is all so true and why we excused a lot of this...
At one point I saw the first X-men movie 6 times. Not because I loved it, but because I thought it was the only live action X-Men I would ever get. Fox squandered this franchise.
@@Marvelfanatic3658it's actually pretty spot on, considering how wild mutations are supposed to be, that the two guys with nearly identical mutations, would be related.
Fun fact, they actually explain why Storm isn't using her powers inside the Statue of liberty. Because it is a giant metal Statue and using the lighting inside would kill them all 😅
Cyclops: Storm! Fry him! Magneto: Really? A bolt of lightning on a huge copper conductor? I thought you lived at a school! Part of why he chose that specific spot to hit the summit. He knew it'd remove one of the most powerful opponents he'd face as a threat
Little known fact: Rogue and Kitty were Logan's sidekicks back in the 80's. Wolverine hated rogue at first and it wasn't until she almost died saving his fiancee, Mariko, that he somewhat warmed up to her and took her under his wing. Kitty was just able to bond with Logan better and then came Jubilee in the 90's.
you can tell Doug pretty much based everyting off the 90's show. Like, seriously KITTY was the first teenage girl who had the whole "wolverine as a protective father figure" thing, not jubilee.
@@stevenhedge2850 True. He also made a comment about how fans thought that Storm should have been the lead when in fact she was the leader of the Team for a while in the 80s and even defeated Cyclops in a duel to see who would become leader when he decided to come back to the team.
Doug and rob write the scripts so we can’t blame Malcom for not knowing, he might not know anything at all. But Doug is incredibly insistent in the first movie review that rogue could fly and was super strong and was confident and a sassy southern bell. When she didn’t have any of those powers or traits till she took them from Ms. Marvel (captain marvel). The x men tv show takes place in media rez (meaning half way into the story) we aren’t seeing the beginning of the x men just the beginning of jubilee’s story so rogue already has those powers and traits. BUT even the 90s cartoon has a flash back in a later season showing rogue stole those powers when she was a teenager from captain marvel so either Doug forgot about that, or he’s being very unfair expecting a cameo from captain marvel just so rogue can steal her powers and personality traits and put her in coma for a decade so he can get his late 20s-early 30s live action rogue he wants lol
Which, as Ms Marvel isn't a mutant, Rogue shouldn't have been able to do that as she only absorbs mutant powers. But yeah, it did make the character more awesome that she did.
@@hybridviggawouldn’t people with powers count tho? More like mutates but still. Like powers that affected their genes are mutations just artificial. Cuz Spider-Man, Captain America or literally anyone not born with powers that are biological are straight up classified as or considered mutates
@@Dookieman1975 In the comics, she could only absorb actual mutations, but I think that was a retcon AFTER the Ms Marvel thing. She couldn't, for example, take Spiderman Hulk, or Juggernaut's powers, just knock them out by touching them like with a regular person, it's like her X-gene rewrites it's benefits to be the same as someone else's. Otherwise, she'd basically be a hulk buster, absorbing his powers, going green herself, and leaving Bruce depowered for a while,
You gotta give credit to the X-Men movies for one thing, though, switching things up in the timeline and having characters change appearance over the course of 10 years with the sole exception of Wolverine IS very accurate and close to the comic books.
@@risottopose9970 Jon Brenthal's Punisher is so far the most accurate Punisher and It's a good tv show on Disney+, before that it was on Netflix. Yet people tend like Punisher: War Zone. So. Comic books won't matter.
@@risottopose9970 Dark Knight trilogy is the most faithful to the Batman comics. Yet people like Snyders Batman. So again none faithful movie or so is better than comic book accurate.
Same issue I had with the original XMen movie review: The problem with the criticism of Rogue here is that Rogue didn't get those badass powers of flight and super strength and toughness until she drained Ms Marvel nearly to death. A younger Rogue NOT having those powers is an ACCURATE portrayal of her.
I get why they had Rogue as the audience surrogate... but it could have worked with Jubiliee as the surrogate just as well and worked out some other bullshit for how the machine worked. It didn't HAVE to be Rogue as a teenager, honestly, I like the film but I just don't see her as Rogue. Even in later movies tbh. I mean, Mistique should be her mother? Captain Marvel being murdered by a young Rogue (her soul essentially gets completely absorbed, pretty sure it did kill her, depends on the writer) practically forced to by Mistique and eventually being saved by Xavier. Storm... was just bad casting, I love how she is in the cartoon far more. I mean, I LOVE Sir Ian as Magneto, but, uh, for the rest of the cast being as young as they are/how fresh the team seems to be. Patrick Stewart bathes in the blood of the innocent, feckit his age I have no issue with. He still looks younger than his age up they had to do for TNG.
The xmen movies were before the MCU. They could have also just had her kill/almost kill a mutant that had a similar skill set. They could have changed the cannon and just had it already be a thing and never addressed. Jubilee would have still been a better audience surrogate. The MCUs Captain Marvel was introduced what, a decade later?
The First Xmen movie and Xmen Evolution were released the same year by different teams... with completely different target audiences and universe expectations. That goth Rogue wouldn't have worked any better if she was supposed to be the same/ similar age as the other xmen. Nobody would even want to bother with her loner ass if she didn't grow to trust people. That's why Jubilee was made for the cartoon. All the movie had to do was write another character in as the audience surrogate and people would have been less pissed. I mean, I don't hate the films... but she just isn't Rogue. I can cope with her not being as confident and strong as her comic counterpart (storyline and continuity dependent). I can cope with her being nerfed, I mean, they don't even show Storm flying most of the time. Its standing around, a brief bit of wire work, more standing. I mean, pregnancy aside body doubles and stunt women exist... but STILL. It was a stupid decision. Rogue got punted to side character almost as fast as they forgot to give Cyclops and Jean any character in the following films. I mean, sure, Magneto being a key focus of the first movie would have worked just fine (Xavier being his foil), gradually focus on the rest of the team- oh wait. That's why first class worked as well as it did.
One thing that REALLY bothers me is that the end of Apocalypse gave the X-Men AMAZING new suits that paid homage to their classic designs...then in Dark Phoenix they're all in cheap-ass identical costumes that look like they came from Wal-Mart.
Even as a Wolverine fan and a guy who thinks Cyclops is just ok cool I don’t like how much less useful he got as the movies went on Though seeing Wolverine and Cyclops butting heads in movie form is still cool
Logan is so cool. Like they never show when Xavier kills all mutants, but they don't need to. When Xavier loses control, you don't need to see him killing everyone.
In Rogue's defense, she's still a teenager, meaning she just had her powers emerge during puberty! How many can truly say as a teenager they were confident in themselves? The version of Rogue we're most familiar with is 10yrs older than the Singer XMen version. A decade is plenty of time to develop the confidence she's known for. Also, within that 10yrs, she would meet Mystique and steal Captain Marvel's powers to allow her to fly
They did it way better in the cartoon and it introed Apocalypse, Angel, Archangel and brought back Mystique. Lol now I wanna go and binge the cartoon again. Rogue was one of my favorite characters in the show and comics so I made terrible excuses for these terrible movies just because they put Rogue in it....even if she was barely the Rogue I loved lol
Most people also forget Rogue's villain past. Not just that she stole Carol's powers, but that she was the villain while doing so. If anything they should have ditched the Mags machine plot and made her a member of The Brotherhood. Have the plot be Mags trying to recruit Wolverine. Explain the sides, let them shoot the shit together, fight once and then switch up the sides as you have defectors. We could have even had this with both sides as Pyro could have been an Xavier student and so Rogue and Wolvie joins the team and Pyro leaves.
As far as her not wanting her powers in the film, it’s not just a boyfriend she can’t touch. It’s literally everyone. No family, friends, maybe a future child, (that she wouldn’t even be able to conceive without touching), and what about animals? Can she also not touch them? I would hate that power and be happy to see it go.
I think you can sum up Night Crawlers fear easy. He caught her in mid air, so there was no walls to materialize into. So all he had to do was visualize her, he had some idea of what he was doing since it was all in free fall. So his fear of not knowing what he will teleport into is still valid. Because its the difference of a room he cant see vs an open sky and with the open sky all he had to do was visualize her since its all open.
FIRST CLASS proved that Simon Kinberg can do a better job as a PRODUCER than as a WRITER In fact, he was the one who pitched Matthew Vaughn to direct this movie, after seeing KICK-ASS
Yod DO realise that this Cyclops (really stupid name though) wears this glasess FOR A REASON? And good one at that. So, I don't see your point here (even though it is applicable for the real world 100%)
Rogue never naturally had the powers of flight and super strength she gained those by draining them permanently out of Miss Marvel when she killed Carol Danvers
@Malkavian No, she didn't kill Miss Marvel when she drained her for the powers. She almost completely drained her and then tried to dump her unconscious body off a bridge to drown her. The X-Men saved her and nursed her back to life but she had lost her powers. And this isn't a retcon or anything, it's what happened in the initial plotline. Ms. Marvel wasn't even out of commission for that long, when Rogue joined the X-Men Ms. Marvel had already gotten her Binary powers.
@@tinkerer3399 Thank you, I've been saying this in the comments at every turn. Carol never died, she was in a coma for like six months and returned. Even joining an X-team.
I stand by Movie Rogue was based off 80's Rogue before she had Ms Marvel powers. She was angsty and not all that confident. A lot of people forget how she was back during her Brotherhood of Evil Mutants days
I still love this movie and I remember back when I was a kid I figured that this was a good fit for an origin of rogue she's just a kid who's went through a traumatic experience and she had her whole life and her whole future just completely upended and she's coming to terms with what it means and I figured in future movies she would adapt to her new life gain confidence and turn more into the rogue we know from like the animated series especially if they ever introduced Gambit because then he would have an influence on her good and bad but of course that's not what we got I still like Anna paquin as rogue
@@nicolesmith2297 watch the mcu version be a bit similar to this and everyone praise it!!! as someone who got into the x-men due to these movies and x-men evolution to me it was clear as day this was before she got any kind of real power. Though I really have to wonder how they will have her steal Captain Marvel's power in the mcu.
@@10tailedbijuu The context here, is that she never does anything. She can be as angsty and trauma filled as she'd like, but they should have at least done something with her in combat. That way we can get the full idea of her powers, benefits and drawbacks. That original fight with Sabertooth, have Logan get knocked out, have Cyke get stunned, she walks over and touches them both and blasts the shit out of Creed while also brawling with him, bone claws flashing. She saves the day, we as an audience realize just how powerful and broken she can be. Just a touch and she's rocking dozens of powers for a few minutes. You suddenly understand why while she hates her power, its handy, it could save lots of people. That is a thing that Evolution was good about. We realize very early that Rogue is dangerous and powerful. She likes people and wants to be liked, but her powers alienate her and force her to be more reserved, its a counter point between her and Kitty in character. Kitty gets to be outgoing and kind, Rogue always doubts herself.
@ryanangelastro504 Well, it all depends on exactly how telekinesis works. In some lore, the telekinetic must be able to see the whole object in order to move it. For example; see an apple on the table. You can see the entire apple and can therefore move it. But, what about an empty refrigerator box. Step away from the giant box so you can see the whole thing, then you can lift it too. But get up close on the massive box so that your entire field of vision is filled with cardboard and you can't move it. Also, get inside the box, where all you can see is just the inside, so once again you won't be able to move it.
Even though that’s cool, even that just goes to show even back in 2000(when X Men 1 came out) they were pandering to nostalgia and Fanservice. “Hey look, it’s the voice actor for Beast from the animated series! Isn’t that cool?” There’s nothing wrong with that but I I’m staring to notice that a lot with movies and shows nowadays.
@@chasehedges6775 you make a good point but I'd rather a voice actor get a cameo than something stupid like Cyclops comment of yellow spandex. Ones just more overt than the other.
Meh I always preferred 'angsty' Rouge. Her mutant power makes it so she would always struggle having any kind of relationship since even something as simple as a hug, could kill someone close to her. It's to the point she even has to cover up her hands. So it makes sense that would make her feel upset and frustrated
Touch is one of the most basic and universal comforts for a lot of species, so to be denied that due to something beyond her control is absolutely an understandable and relatable source of frustration and anxiety.
@@chrisandrew7577 well apparently its the only thing that doug has seen. you do realize that rogue started offas a villian at first, one who was rather insecure.
1:38:54 - 1:39:09 Not gonna lie, after watching Taylor Kitsch's Gambit in this movie, I'm really wishing another rewrite that could've fixed X-Men: The Last Stand would've been casting Kitsch in that movie rather than in Origins: Wolverine. He would've been close to Anna Paquin's age in 2006, Gambit could've be introduced as a new student, along with Warren/Angel who ran away from his father, the inventor of the cure, and maybe they'd become friends. He then meets Rogue during her issues with Bobby when he's flirting with Kitty Pryde, his Gambit could comfort Rogue, and his getting close to Rogue when she's considering whether or not to take the cure could help keep that deleted ending where Rogue chooses to keep her powers, becoming more confident. Unfortunately, Kitsch instead took a role in an even more unpopular movie, The Craft for boys- I mean, The Covenant.
Jean is one of my favorite X men. She’s been dead for years and consistently undermined by being connected to the Phoenix force. Only since her most recent Phoenix resurrection has she been allowed to come to the fore as an omega level mutant. Read X men Red. Vol 1. Few years ago. Not the current one with Storm, Queen of the Solar system. Completely different.
@@MajinTar and specially when the only thing they know is modern material, like calling storm a goddess, when thats literally after decades of comicbook stories of hard work that she gets her ascension, a storm thats "new" cant do the things she can in present comicbook stories
@@cesar6447 I wouldn't go that far. Storm being worshiped as a goddess isn't super modern. In fact, it was part of her first origin, rather than the second one where she was a street kid in Egypt and tried to pick pocket Charles and was discovered. They're both parts of her character now, but the entire point was a bit of ethnoexoticism that later became more grounded as her character progressed.
I want to see a review of The Wolverine. Fans seem to either love some of the X-Men films (the first one and X2) or loathe them (The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine) but that one…I don’t remember people having strong feelings for it one way or the other.
Fun fact this movie inspired Nolan to do his Dark Knight trilogy in a realistic way. He told Hugh while filming the Prestige that if he was to do a Batman movie he'd do it like X-Men.
Unpopular opinion: I found Simon Kingerg's direction in DARK PHOENIX pretty solid He was able to give the movie an identity of its own, rather than trying to replicate Bryan Singer's direction Unlike Brett Ratner tried to do in THE LAST STAND
I'm surprised you didn't throw any Gandalf jokes in here for Ian. "You've changed, Charles, and not entirely for the better." "I'm looking for someone to share in our mutations." "A mutant is never late, Logan, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."
For the scene in the first movie why Xavier didn't have sabertooth remove Magneto's helmet there's this theory that magneto uses a small portion of his powers to hold his helmet in place at all times and that even if Xavier had tried to have saber tooth remove the helmet it wouldn't have worked Xavier knows this that's why he didn't try it
"They say a fire squad tickles, but a LOG! That's what takes a the might Wolverine out of action." Clearly never worked with wood before! Wood is heavy! Especially when it's recently cut and still has moisture in it. Logs folling on lumber workers like that is pretty much a death sentence, so of course Wolverine would be out for the count after a trucks worth of logs fall on him!
All that are left are First Class, The Wolverine, Days of Future Past, and Logan. I think DoFP should be a full skit for when Doug changes the wall color
So I had a realization. If your watch order of the x men movies simply skips all the bad movies (the last stand, Wolverine origins, dark Phoenix) the continuity stays the exact same. Jean died in 2, is resurrected in dofp, striker stays the same, wolverines origin stays a mystery but has enough context to fill it in while still following the narrative. It’s perfect.

43:30 I think the blade is using the "flathead as a key" method to starting a car.... security has definitely gotten a LOT better for cars since then, you know, besides just needing a pod in your pocket and the door opens and the car starts at the push of a button...
At 1:16:07, all I'm thinking is, that effect was actually done a lot better in the 1985 James Bond crapfest, A View To A Kill. All those shots of the bridge don't look real at all. They might as well have made a 3D, CGI cartoon. I know it's based on a comic strip, but it's supposed to be live action. This is the equivalent of a bad VR trip.
I still like to think Toad was just actually smart and powerful in the first X-men movie. He keeps the pressure on Mutants that seem to take an innordinate amount of time to summon up their powers. Logan would have diced him in a second. Scott just was too slow and didn't expect him. But Storm seems like she has to spend some time in the movie universe to get her powers working, same with Jean Grey. I thought it was genius, and I loved Ray Park's little intimidating Jig as he approaches lol
The first one began the modern era of superhero films. The second one is one of the best sequels of all time, after that it all went downhill. Especially when the movies became the Adventures of Mystique.
Why does everyone automatically believe Rogue just had all those powers?... Even if you only watched the original cartoon you'd still know those aren't her powers...
Fun fact: Rouge only got her power of flight from near killing captain marvel with her drain touch, leaving marvel powerless for a time. Also got a strength amp
Honestly, some of these movies get a bad rep for reasons that are never consistent. I don't see how X2 and Days of Future Past are considered bad because of its lack of comic book accuracy, but, that complaint goes out the window for Age of Ultron or Thor Ragnarok or even Guardians of the Galaxy for that matter.
The problem is also with something like the Marvel movies, each character gets their own movie AND team up movies because they are main characters in certain settings and side characters in others. With X-Men almost every character is a main character with their stories often connecting with one another. With the deleted scenes, every X-Men movie before first class actually does feel like it was trying to focus on Wolverine as the main story
@1:59:00 I always saw Jean Grey as the nurturing older sister type. The one who wasn’t afraid to lecture you if you did or were planning on doing something stupid. But was there to comfort you afterward. In these movies, she wasn’t at all really like that.
The “use saber tooth to take off the helmet” argument is kinda crap cause as soon as saber moved to do that, magneto shoots. Also, when will you review X-men First Class? I liked that movie a lot. And days in future past?
Nah, there's zero reason why he didn't pluck up the helm with left hand while grasping for throat with the right. Erik clearly gets disoriented when his throat's gripped. Charles would've had way more than enough time to seize control of Erik's mind. Charles completely had the element of surprise and squandered it.
I actually Really like origins and find I really like it even more the more that I watch it :-) seriously, give it a chance and you might actually think so as well :-)
The first movie was *the* reason why I thought Rogue was just Jubilee grown up. I was never an avid reader of the comics, but I knew enough to know that there was a teenager who latched onto Wolverine who accidently caused an incident when she was first gaining her powers and ran away from home. Named Jubilee who blew up an arcade machine... but, hey, I later read a comic where Rogue was also blowing stuff up, so I thought the movie was just skipping some stuff.
No, Blob's powers are that he can root himself to the earth and become immovable. Hence, he announes in battle, "i am the imovable Blob'. Only his face is vulnerable to attack.
Yellow spandex… that was shade😂Wolverine had a costume with yellow in it…😂😂 I’ve been an X-Men fan since the mid sixties as a child. Seeing Toad dancing to that “I love to singa” cartoon owl song was everything 😂😂😂
While I agree that Rouge was done dirty, part of the reason is that her super strength and flight came from her draining Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, during her time in the Brotherhood before joining the XMen. Fox didn't have the rights to use any other Marvel characters. It also probably helped keep the effects budget down. Also, Jean totally could've lived through the flood in X2, but Professor X could not have lifted the plane. He's only telepathic, not telekinetic. I would've loved if they had Wolverine and Storm be together like they were in some of the comics, but apparently love triangles are more appealing.
Er...I wouldn't even give them most. The only villains in these movies who are consistently good and/or worth a damn are Magneto and Mystique. And once we got to a certain point, even that stopped. In some aspects, the X-Movies' problem with their villains is on par with or even worse than the MCU's.
No, Ice Man couldn't freeze that much water in that little time, Storm couldn't have done anything to stop the water that wouldn't have killed them all, Xavier isn't telekinetic, and Jean couldn't have lifted the jet inaide of it while stopping the water.
What I like about the X-Men movies is the fact that they never tried to follow the MCU's formula or its tropes, especially after it became a trend They never relied on nostalgia, the tone always kept consistent, and they always focused on the present And Dark Phoenix kept that way They kept their sense of individuality. Even the score was different in each movie
Rogue, the girl who kills everyone she touches: "They can cure us?!" Storm, a woman who can control the weather and is considered a Goddess in her home country: "ThErE's NoThInG wRoNg WiTh Us"
48:48 I think if he knows hes going into open space, he might be able to just "jump". But inside a building or something, there would be a risk of rematerializing (or however it works) in the same space a wall or something would simultaneously be occupying. That's how I justified it anyway 🤷🏾♂️
Thank you for doing all of the X-Men movie reviews in one video I saw almost every single one of the X-Men movies in theaters from the wolverine to X-Men dark Phoenix with my dad as we are fans of the X-Men film series thank you for sharing your thoughts on at all but most of these movies and I can't wait to see what else you got ❤️
(1:12:20) you can see that when Wolverine gets thrown into the ceiling, his foot gets stuck on the edge of the hole he went thru, showing that he completely stopped moving, which completely breaks the illusion of him going up and thru the house and crashing back down thru into the next room. However, this revealed one big positive attribute that I took from this scene: it shows that practical effects were used to create this shot, which I do commend them for.
With Beast “Weaponizing The cure”, hello context! Him using it against magneto is completely different than the government using it as an overall weapon. What else could Beast have done in that moment to stop magneto?
For me as a comics fan there was no way Eric would ever let anyone touch Charles let alone kill him for me that is the hardest thing to get past in xmen 3
The Return of X-Month. NEEEEEEERD!!! I prefer X-Men the animated series. Movie of X-Men 1 was fairly decent and did well. First Class also my fave, during youthful days of Xavier and Magneto.
To be fair with regards to Rogue, her original mutant power was only the life/power stealing thing. Her strength and flight came from her putting Carol Danvers (a character not part of the Fox X-Men deal) in a coma. Here is to hoping that MCU Rogue does her thing to MCU Capt Marvel so all is right with the world...
Which still misses the point, Rogue's power is incredibly cinematic. She can touch all of her friends and gain their powers for a little while. Imagine they're in a tough spot, she touches Bobby and Logan and now she's sporting ice claws. Or Nightcrawler, she can teleport on top of it. Rogue just having her own power means that she can mix and match everyone else on the team with her in interesting ways and even add their enemies to the mix.

You know, despite him supposedly being such a big fan of the 90s cartoon, I'm starting to get the feeling Doug doesn't actually know where Rogue's strength and flight came from. Movie Rogue has A LOT of issues, but her starting out as an angsty teen who's sad about not being able to touch anyone isn't a problem....it's that she never grows past that in future movies. That's where his Rogue rants need to be. Not in the first movie XD
Xavier doesn’t have telekinetic powers though, so he couldn’t have lifted the plane. But this brings up something i’ve thought about myself: why do characters with telekinetic powers struggle to move anything when logically they shouldn’t have any issues at all, they’re literally moving it with their mind, the size or weight of an object shouldn’t matter at all so long as they BELIEVE they can do so, the line Yoda gives in Empire when Luke states that moving the rocks is totally different from moving his X-Wing is key to this “no, no different, only different in your mind”, the only limits to what a telekinetic can lift should be mental comprehension.

Fun fact: Rogue didn't have most of those powers until she drained Ms Marvel.
Which, as Ms Marvel isn't a mutant, Rogue shouldn't have been able to do that as she only absorbs mutant powers. But yeah, it did make the character more awesome that she did.

Otherwise, she'd basically be a hulk buster, absorbing his powers, going green herself, and leaving Bruce depowered for a while,

@@Nolascana These movies weren't touching the rst of the marvel universe sooo, no Carol to suck dray.
The xmen movies were before the MCU.
They could have also just had her kill/almost kill a mutant that had a similar skill set.
They could have changed the cannon and just had it already be a thing and never addressed. Jubilee would have still been a better audience surrogate.

Professor X could not have lifted the plane. He is a telepath not a telekinetic. Jean has both abilities.
Then couldn’t SHE lift the plane from inside? Oh right “This is the only way.”

However, this revealed one big positive attribute that I took from this scene: it shows that practical effects were used to create this shot, which I do commend them for.
Blade was the first Marvel movie to give a comic book character dignity, street-level serious action and plot.
You must did not see The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren, came out about 10 years before Blade
Ok, Tamara stroking the liquor bottle like it is a cat, is hilarious !
Yes people obiosly dont get this is Rogue origin
@@LupineShadowOmega But Wolverine claws arent part of his mutation
@@cesar6447 Indeed they are. Even for movie Wolverine. Bone Claws are a part of his mutation.
@@LupineShadowOmega but in the first movie they told you that he was victim of an experiment, they used his extreme healing to replace his skeleton with adamantium, that's why Mystique can copy his claws
Glad you make these compilations. I almost had 3 hours of free time today. Would hate for that to happen.
Never thought about it, senator's powers is becoming elastic to go throw bars, and become fish-like to survive the ocean travel
He is the x-men comics mutant Darwin
You do realize Rogue actually didn't have any other powers when she first appeared
in fact I actually found Last Stand to be legit frightening whenever Phoenix was onscreen knowing what she's capable of
After what Disney did to HULK and SPIDERMAN
I'm not looking forward to see what they'll do with the X-Men
Spiderman is doing Fine Hulk has licensing issues
MAN!
These films had HUGE problems!
...But they also had amazing things in them and paved the way for the MCU and DCEU!
Damn right.
Huge problems?
@@randallrutherford1384 Direction, writing,special effects,things like that.
@@Herowebcomics Yeah, now try to watch She-Hulk or Thor Love or Thunder.
@@mayotango1317 Ok!
Thanks and safety to ya all as always!! So hyped for this!!
Toad's dance feels like it wasn't scripted. It was just Ray Park realizing once again how happy he is to have his career. Dude's a treasure
Aside from DEADPOOL 3
We won't be seeing Wolverine smoking a cigar in the MCU
Granted, the original follow-up to "What happens to a toad struck by lightning" was "It croaks", but the censors/studio required them to change it.
Earlier today I was like omg I hope DWKT drops a new episode today and then yaw’ll open up saying you guys may be doing two episodes a week and I literally almost died. You guys are the only podcast I will watch the entire episode. Monday and Friday sound amazing !
Cyclops "well what you prefer? Yellow spandex?"
2024 "yes"
You know, despite him supposedly being such a big fan of the 90s cartoon, I'm starting to get the feeling Doug doesn't actually know where Rogue's strength and flight came from. Movie Rogue has A LOT of issues, but her starting out as an angsty teen who's sad about not being able to touch anyone isn't a problem....it's that she never grows past that in future movies. That's where his Rogue rants need to be. Not in the first movie XD
I just love how beast and the now appearance of she hulk are the ONLY two public working mutants/hero’s (not including iron man)
I'm suprised they didn't point out just how bad mystique is not the cgi that was fine for the time but she doesn't act anything like she should
Are you referring to Jennifer Lawrence?
Jen Lawrence doesn't possess the acting skill to portray Mystique in correlation with the comics.
It's funny that this upload comes not to long after I had rewatched some of the NC's X-Men reviews 😂😂😂😂.
This franchise is old yet I still watch and enjoy it like it's new.
Mystique: The women are always saving the men around here
Quicksilver after saving the entire school in the previous movie: Am I a joke to you?
In regards to Magneto moving Striker, it was because Striker was chained to the helicopter that Magneto was stealing.
