Gorillas are very sensitive creatures, and they are said to get an upset stomach easily. We often see Momotaro having diarrhea.
I had hardly ever seen Gentaro having diarrhea.
He had diarrhea since this morning.

Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAKK.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

Gentaro still has an appetite, so that's a good sign. Perhaps the keepers can examine his loose bowel movement and determine if it's something new they've recently fed the family that is bothering Gentaro's stomach. Thank you for keeping us informed, GL!

This is the reason Momotaro is a great Dad,, Gentaro has tummy problems and so does my handsome Momotaro,, just like when Momo was sick 🤢 first Gentaro wouldn’t eat then Kintaro stopped eating… It’s amazing how much love the gorilla 🦍 troops have,, some much like us🫣🫣🤭🤭
This little guy knows they are sick ,he does not bother his bro to play ,intelligent kid for sure 🤙

As a human, i can state that continuous diarrhoea makes you feel awful. Hope the gorillas recover soon.

I thought the same thing..stomach bug will make you feel really bad.. They needs some fluids so they dont dehydrate..maybe adjust there diet till they are better. Hope they get well soon.

I read that a side effect of mulberry leaves and even the bark can work as a laxative and cause diarrhea. Has Gentaro been eating too many mulberry branches?

ゴリラによくある消化不良かもですね。ゲンタロウのは滅多に見ないので心配してました。
今朝、元気に走り回ってましたから大丈夫そうです。
逆に少し暴れてるような感じでしたので、サブグラウンドでの分離生活トレもそろそろ試した方がいいかなと感じました。

今朝のゲンタロウは元気でした。
気になるのは、ゲンキにちょっかいを先週からまた出しています。
モモタロウには叱られてます。
ん、ゲンタロウの力が強くなってきましたから、そろそろ分離トレに入ってもいい気がします。
最近は、ゲンタロウがゲンキにちょっかいは全くありませんでした。
しかし、また出てきました。
モモタロウへもちょっかいの回数は増えています。
今後、サブグラウンドをどう利用するのか？気になる点です。
ゲンタロウは力が余ってますね。
暑くなり、イライラも影響してるかもです。
舎内の温度や湿度は、来園者側でのイメージよりも高いと推測します。
昨年からガラス下の空気穴が塞がれました。
つまり、横からの空気の出入りがなくなりました。
上からは空気が入ってきますが、横からはない。
どうしてもあたたかい空気が滞留してしまうのでは？と。
実際、ガラスが曇るのが空気穴を塞いでから早まりました。
今年の夏から早めにゴリラ達を室内へ入れそうな気がします。
5:01 ゲンキがゲンタロウを心配しているように見えた。なぜお腹を壊したのかな？心配事？合わない物を食べた？風邪？ビオフェルミンあげるのかな？紅茶を飲んだら治るよ

ゲンタロウは、問題なさそうです。
ただし、ゲンタロウの行動が荒いことがここ数日再開してるので、ゲンキのことが心配ですね。 モモタロウとの関係性も心配ですが、それ以上にゲンキですね。
ゲンキは年齢的に体力が落ちてる気がするのと筋力もこれから落ちてきますからね。
