5:19 love the detail here if you slow it down you can see when kratos knock of mjolnir out of Thor's hand Thor quickly tried to recall by snapping his fingers but kratos quickly strike his axe on his stomach and when Thor removed the axe from his stomach you can see for a split second of Thor about to snap his fingers to recall mjolnir but kratos used his knife to prevent him for doing it

My thought was that the stabbing of the hand was to ground Thor’s lightning and temporarily depower him.
If this man had appropriate level gear this video would be less than a minute
The fact that he fought with low lvl gear and got no damage with this high lvl of difficult is what makes it amazing

Anyone thinks that Ragnarok (the Twilight of the Gods) could have used more destroyed landscapes, increased boss intensity (Record of Ragnarok intense), and Odin attacking on an eight-legged horse?
Yeah, the whole Ragnarok event was short lived but I still loved it. Would of been awesome to fight Odins horse for phase 1!
Absolutely, the final battles of Thor and Odin was so small packed, it need more destruction.

I absolutely adore your playstyle. The way you take advantage of every move and use them in situations that I didn't even think possible is just so satisfying. I like GBG too but you are my favorite, it's as if you break the game without breaking it.
Edit: Holy Kratos! That Rage activation as he goes for the jumping hammer throw was beyond words!
Edit 2: Just watched the whole thing. I did this fight level 1, no damage, GMGOW but this is so so much more impressive.
I am amazed by that rage activation too where kratos flew with thor. Deyum! This man really plays creatively. Imagine SMvR is hired to do combat demos in game that would be epic 🔥
GBG plays like a berserker, SMVR plays with finesse.
Smvr plays better imo. Gbg is good too but he does the cancel playstyle bs which I don't like.
Agreed. Watch his Heimdall video and he actually hits Heimdall before the cutscene even. You can see bloodsplatters on the ground.
Respectfully, GBG creates combos the devs didn't put in the game. His skill level is far beyond anything I've ever seen. To say SMVR compares is to say a pocketknife cuts like a fresh-forged blade. Both good, one is objectively more skillful.
When you intercepted him in the air at 2:58 with Spartan Rage was quite badass

@@football-os1hg He's incredibly skilled but they're not even comparable. Smvr is on a league on his own. GBG has superior reflexes and instinct, but behind Smvr's videos there's a choreography that makes is fights so more fun to watch compared to anyone else.
@@harktz983 I don't know man... GBG plays the game the same way this guy does, but with combo chains that are literally borderline impossible to do. I think he takes this one.
@@iTzReloadedLeaguexDthe difference is he glitches the game with cancels non stop which makes it look unnatural. It definitely requires skill, but it’s more of an exploitation of the game. Each move SMVR does are within the games normal mechanics combined with each other to make crazy cinematic combos. Big difference

How do people say he's NOT holding back when Kratos's ENTIRE arc is about holding back and talking things out.

Creative gameplay as always! Love the Flame Whiplash for range and Onslaught to close gaps like a mini agile strike (loved it day 1 but it got way better this patch). What was that move at 4:56 after the evade attack? Never seen that before.
Oh and major props for doing this one no damage. Those lightning pools from phase 2 onwards are such a pain for no damage runs, took me forever.

That is the stronger form of Charged uppercut. In order to do that what he did was back + evade + R1 and (hold R2) during the animation of stepping back during the blade fireball for that uppercut.

3:14 Thor goes for that attack that you have to use the shield strike on, can he do this attack while on a piece of ground that’s electrified? And if he does does the player take damage for walking into that AOE spot?

Kinda ashame that Kratos can only jump while in rage mode in Ragnarok and GoW2018. Not even on commend the enemy has to be in the air.

@@HimHim77 Kinda weird how people say jumping wouldn't work with the games engine but Kratos can jump during Spartan fury and they're okay with it. 🤔 I'm happy that they at least let you swing from platform to platform and attack enemies from below by jumping. But it's always kind of weird when Kratos has to find a different path to a chest he could clearly hop over some rubble to get. 😆

Only thing about game i didn't liek how rushed final part is,k asgard stuff include finals tuff we should got some more develope thor and family, and final part with seige on asgard could been least 3 and half hours to 4 hours long instead just damn hour!

Yes, though its a waste we never got to see a canon L3 + R3 against Thor, Heimdall and Odin. This was how hard kratos held himself back the entire game.

Eh. Spear was specifically for Heimdall. Axe was just to counter mjolnir,not overpower it. Even brok was surprised it held up against it. Blades should've just ripped the fat off Thor tbh

Did Thor punch you while in rage at 3:01? Rage dropped a big chunk. Can’t tell if that’s from jumping across the screen or getting punched mid-air. Amazing video and always learn new tricks from watching.

I wish he was more aggressive and faster. That side to side thing is good but he should do it towards you then grab you. He should’ve also been able to block and clash with the axe. Sending mjolnir back with the blades of chaos would’ve been cool too.

I think that contributed to why Kratos was able to beat easier than the last time they fought.
Not only that but the first time Kratos was holding back alot. Thor says it and even implies Kratos tried more against Magni and Modi, Baldur, and Sigrun

Man I really hope they let Atreus get the Hammer. The weapon has so much history behind it. He needs a true melee weapon and he has the ability to channel lighting (grandpop was Zues) cmon SSM, let us have it 🔨

Great gameplay as always but I would say the ending fight between Thor and Odin and Ragnarok battle could've been more expansive and have lots of different phases and transitions and more challenging. That's the only thing I'm mixed with, with the game. But in terms of the conclusion/outcome of the fight and Ragnarok it's brilliant, emotional, cathartic, and beautifully fulfills Kratos, Atreus' arcs and Freya's as well. Feel sorry for Sindri tho 😥 also in my heart of hearts I wish it would've been a trilogy as originally planned to stay in the Norse world longer and have more adventures and threats in between. The ending to this game would've been that much more emotional and cathartic. Regardless 4 and 5 are great.
The rematch was a disappointment. It was not as big scale as the first fight, the rematch was so packed in a small area, not worthy for 2 destroyers, it did not live up to the promise of the end of the first fight.
GREAT gameplay anyway, you make it clean as always, no redundant moves.

Ok I need to say this and idk where to put it so I'm putting it here. Ragnorok just does not leave room for you to combo normal enemies. I've tried and tried, to no avail. I used to play the musflheim training room a lot in 2018, and I loved juggling draugr and sharpening my skills, but Ragnorok doesn't really Offer much in the way of combat to test your skills like that. Now I know what you're gonna say "But the Nilfheim trials! What about the Crucible?" I know they exist, they just aren't as good as 2018s stuff. In this game, for whatever reason, they LOVE to pile enemies on you and make you adapt to it. I can handle lots of enemies, but it means I can't juggle a single fucking foe without some light elf doing a double back flip spin kick to the back of my head or some bitch yelling old Norse at me before hitting me 4 times in a row wit a multi stun attack. It's ridiculous, this game gives you NO TIME, NONE, WHATSOEVER to pull of satisfying juggle combos and its SHIT! I love this game and 2018, I truly do, but this sucks, is anyone else having this issue? there are too many enemies! and not only that they behave too agressive
It might be helpful to stack up your vitality, so your moves wouldn’t be interrupted as much. Some crowd controlling relic effects and Atreus/Freya’s AOE stun abilities are useful too.
Also the sidestep and the parrying doesn’t reset your combo counter. So if you are really familiar with the crowds attack pattern you can get to combo finishers pretty consistently, just like how smvr do.
SMVR, how do you reliably do the heavy axe recall? Every time I try to throw it after a weapon sheath, Kratos just kicks the air lol
