In today's video we compare Mexico and Guatemala, and I share my experiences travelling through both. I first visited Guatemala 10 years ago and have visited 3 times now. As many of you know, I lived in Mexico City for a year and have travelled the country widely. So now I share my experiences with the two awesome countries in this video, "Mexico and Guatemala Compared".

For me...
Mexico it is the food and the many different sides of the country.
Guatemala it is the natural beauty and traditional ways of life.
Bien dicho, Karina!
Gracias Daniel🤗💕
Guatemala and it’s beautiful nature and people just everything about it! 🇬🇹🇬🇹🥰
I've lived in both, I'm Guatemalan but my wife is Mexican, I think Mexico is a Giant Guatemala and Guatemala is a Baby Mexico. But both are very lovable and fun, both handsome or cute, depending on your mood and your location. Cool video! 👏 ✌️ ❤️ 🇲🇽 💙 🇬🇹
Don’t ever say that

The state of Chiapas in Mexico is the part of Mexico that is more similar to Guatemala
I really need to visit Chiapas
It’s not, maybe several years ago but now is very different
not only Chiapas, but also Oaxaca
Guatemalans are very short and indigenous no offense they can only be compared to Chiapas
After 1821 when mexico got their independence from Spain chiapa joined them , chiapas was a province from Central America Guatemalan kingdom a nickname given by Spain , that’s reason they are so similar
Never been to Guatemala to compare but love food in Mexico! So much diversity in tastes of food. Cheers Dan!

I'm from the south of Mexico and ur statement it's right, in northern region the "Americanization" it's quite obvious. I love ur videos.
Thanks :D
The expression I heard is (regarding northern Mexico) "The north is where culture ends and carne asada begins".
Not true. Not such thing is “Americanized”. It’s insulting.
Though the North is very influenced by the USA, it's definitely not Americanized. Crossing the border form the USA to North Mexican cities is a culture shock, a completely different world.
Very informative video, looks like I’ll be traveling with the family to Guatemala this Summer! 🇬🇹
Thank you so much for this informative video!! From Canada 🇨🇦
Another excellent video Dan. Thanks.

Thanks! You ever been to Guatemala?
in Chiapas they have a very peculiar accent because they pronounce words like "vos" or "tenés" which are words that are mostly used in Central America, Argentina or Colombia

Guatemala is realy wonderfull
The people and the culture of Mexico and Guatemala is very similar to each other. And Chiapas in Mexico is little part of central American.
Critiquing this video as someone who was born and raised in Zona 1, Guatemala City, still has family there, has lived and worked in Mexico (CDMX), have family there and had lived and traveled all over the world (currently reside in Indonesia).
0:51 Similarities
There are true similarities and superficial similarities. These images of churches in Puebla and Guate City are an example. To the non-casual observer, these two churches will actually stand out as different stemming from their location. Puebla was an important center from early on in the colonial period. That church is from nearly 400 years ago and reflects the common architectural style then. Guate City is Guatemala's fourth capital and only became an important center in the late 18th century. That church, the cathedral, reflects the style then.
1:06 The differences between northern Mexico and southern|central México predate the United States or the colonial period. The differences go back more than 500 years ago. Central and southern Mexico as well as Guatemala belong to the Mesoamerican cultural area where the north of Mexico did does not.
5:22 I get you. Guatemala City | Antigua weather is among the most pleasant in the world. Believe me, I've been around. Note, though, weather in Guatemala can also be quite hot and humid in places.
Places in Mexico with that weather? Oaxaca, Cuernavaca.
6:51 Ladino
Nope. "Ladino", not to be confused with the language of Sephardic Jews, is a corruption of the word 'Latino', as in speaking Spanish. Ergo, a Ladino in Guatemala is a negative, relative term for anyone who is not indigenous and speaks Spanish as a native tongue. So, you'd ask "Son ladinos?" And the response could be, "no, son indígenas".
7:34 Did you know that Guate has people of German descent, the descendants of 19th and early 20th century immigrants? My family is Ladino with Spanish surnames but a cousin of mine is married to a native Guatemalan whose surname is Hengstenberg.
8:27 Makes sense. Nothing to do with cultural similarities, but rather economics. Think economies of scale and how they benefit a behemoth like Mexico vs. tiny, less globalized Guatemala.
9:03 Think about global markets and the price that coffee can command when exported. Plus, Guatemala produces quality rather than quantity unlike, say, Vietnam where coffee is everywhere and very cheap.
Finally, mis respetos a México. I will always have an attachment to Guatemala, but Mexico it's one of those places that once it gets under your skin, you will think about it and remember it for the rest of your life.
I love this video and thanks for sharing It.
Thanks!
Interesting to compare the two. I was wondering about this.
Hey Dan. You definitely have the edge when it comes to Guatemala. I was only there once and only visited 2 cities. Liked Guatemala City a lot. Found Antigua (like Cartagena, Colombia) way too touristy.
I've spent about 25 years telling people "Mexico is not the name of a beach" often to no avail.
FYI I'm back in Mexico City, as of this morning, after 8 glorious weeks in Brazil. I think Brazil is my new love. ❤️
Glad you had a great time in Brazil!

Mexico is a massive country in comparison there’s still millions of indigenous people and lots of towns that most Americans and Canadians never visit. Plus Mexico’s economy is much larger therefore it has the potential to be and to have all the things that an American has in a major city like Mexico City. Mexico’s geography is also very different because it’s such a large country. Higher and lower elevations make a huge difference. Mexico remains one of the most bio-diverse countries in the world from deserts🌵 to flat lands to tropical. I grew up here in Hawaii and I can assure you it gets really cold and snows on our higher elevations here and people think Hawaii is only tropical but even on our small island we have like 20 different micro climates. Anyways peace.
I had no idea Hawaii got snow 😯
@Rhizosphere It’s not the whole city though it only part of the city is on the actual lake. Also many buildings are supposed to be built to handle earthquakes now days. The ones that collapse are because they weren’t built to code. That’s what we saw with the 2017 Earthquake in the city. Some buildings collapsed because they weren’t built to code.
Mexico is not massive, Canada and the US are.

mejico is like La India un Asía, too poor and to much coruption and is very dangerous country.
First of all, great video!
And now, I’ve noticed some people think that comparing Mexico and Guatemala is unfair and insulting, and here is my point of view:
If you compare Mexico and Guatemala in terms of infrastructure, size of economy, or amount of places to visit. It’s more than obvious that YES, the comparison is not fair because Mexico has a much larger population, so you will need more infrastructure due to the demand, as well, you will have more chances to have a larger economy; and since the Mexican territory is huge, obviously there will be more places to visit and more diversity. But in the case that you insist to compare both countries in those terms, then comparing Guatemala to any Mexican state might be fairer, since in the past, Guatemala was part of Mexico as an state for a brief period.
However; if you compare both countries in terms of culture, history or architectonic style, NO, the comparison is not unfair at all because, in those terms, Guatemala and Mexico are similar (at least compared to the Mexican southeast region). First, both countries share the Mayan culture; second, from 1821 until 1823 Guatemala was a Mexican state during The First Mexican empire, so they do share history; third, due to the architectonic style in some cities and little colonial towns , you can have a similar feeling or experience. I mean both countries share borders, language, and both were Spanish colonies; so obviously, there is no country more similar to Mexico than Guatemala. These similarities don’t have to be something negative, because it means there is brotherhood between both countries and that’s positive.
Having said all this, the video compares both countries in terms of culture and other facts related to it. SO THE COMPARISON IS NOT INSULTING NOR UNFAIR.
This guy shares a respectful point of view about his positive experience, recognizing some similarities and differences between 🇬🇹 and 🇲🇽; and for that reason this is a great video!
Well said. I believe that certain Mexican states in the South may have some similarities with Guatemala.
But also he forgot to mention a big number of Mexico City residents look indigenous but don’t speak a dialect and don’t preserve the Aztec culture but they love to say Guatemalans are mostly Indians nothing wrong with that but instead 😅they could say I’m surprised Guatemalans preserved their culture and we don’t we only preserved our Aztec ancestry our looks
Sería bueno que se uniera todo Centroamérica

NO, just no, they are very different countries, even comparing natives cultures, just very different, even in colonial times, Cental mexico was one of the epicenters of spanish american culture, the universities, economies, religius, country self identity, architecture in the past AND in the present, very different, in mexico you have MANY important colonial cities, with a very distinctive architecture, in mexico there were very important mining cities, where the most of the wealth of spanish empire comes, like zacatecas, guanajuato, taxco, and where the most of the silver money comes from along with bolivia.

I just came back from 10 days in Guatemala. It was a nice vacation and I enjoyed my time there, but there’s no comparison. The people are lovely but I did not find any Guatemalan food I enjoyed. It’s too bland. Also, the litter and poor road conditions and buildings is really sad. Guatemala has so much potential but not on the same level as Mexico. Having said that, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Litter along the roads is a problem for sure
@Rhizosphere, You sound like a Guatemalan, very resentful with Mexico.
Love all of these points, great video! I love Costa Rica, lots of rain +lush forest right down to the beach. But it’s so expensive. Anywhere like that, that you’ve experienced in Mexico or Guatamela? I’ve been searching but it seems like it no longer exists. I love Puerto Morelos or Puerto Escondido but they are so developed, you don’t have protected forest right at the coast like CR. Does Guatemala have anywhere like that? I’d love to live at a lake beach just as much as ocean but haven’t seen lakes with lots of jungle at lake in either county. Thks for your help if you have any suggestions 🙏

@5:41 - I didn't know Skoda cars were sold in Guatemala 😱
You’d be surprised about Guatemala 🇬🇹 if you traveled everywhere in the country. Obviously Mexico being a bigger country and expanding more vertically has way more diversity in gastronomy and culture. However, I will dare to say that Guatemala is the most diverse country in Central America when it comes to food, culture, language, etc. You have yet to discover the garífuna people, their food and culture and many other Guatemalan foods. There’s Guatemalan foods that I haven’t even tried and have recently discovered Just in our tamales there’s already many versions. Each department has their regional dish and even drinks. Guatemala has a very rich culture and even though it’s a small country and generally the weather is spring like, it also has more than 360 microclimates and diversity in weather. We have really hot departments like Retalhuleu and also very cold departments like Coban. There’s departments that would be the equivalent to the northern Mexican states like Zacapa, Jalapa and other departments. The European culture in the oriental departments is more present than in the occidental ones. Let’s also remember that Guatemala is surrounded by 4 countries and two oceans which also makes us a point of commerce and diversity. German, Spanish, French, Italian, African and of course Indigenous (Native) and even Asian cultures like Korean have influenced what Guatemala is today. Guatemala is a whole world even though it’s not a big country. I invite you to keep coming to our country and discover more of it. There is many more things to see, many more cultures and many more foods to see. 🇬🇹
I want to come to come to your country.
Actually there ar several States that get some snow per winter, in their capital cities, or their largest cities, most of this States are un central North part of México or in the North, Even Monterrey gets to see some snow in the dontown. Zacatecas, Durango Chihuahua, Sonora, Coahuila or Sonora Even baja California get at least one snowfall each winter.
Coffee in Guatemala is for the international market. For this reason the high prices of natural coffee. Guatemala is most expensive because we don't have many offers in the majority of products and services. Your cost in Guatemala was expensive because you stayed in touristic places.
Guatemalan coffee is love. I'm from Mexico City, and of course we grow liking our coffee from Chiapas, Veracruz and Oaxaca, but there are nowhere near the taste of coffee from Huehuetenango for instance. Guatemalan coffee deserves more recognition than it has, because I find it better than Costa Rican and that many Colombian coffees! Love Guatemala btw, I've been then multiple times and it's always incredible.
i must add that the similarities of architecture are very similar, yes they are but also all over the world with few exceptions u will see with some investigation it begs the question was it alll one people at one time? peace

This is one of your better videos Dan! I think you gave justice to both of these great countries. One thing you missed about Guatemala climate: they call it the eternal spring. As you said in the video the weather is perfect year round, especially in Guatemala City / Antigua / Lake Atitlan. I think you hit it on the head with Guatemala being more natural / traditional. Sure, you’ll find that in some places in Mexico, but the nature / traditional aspect dominates Guatemala. The size of Mexico makes it have more diversity of food, but no one will be disappointed by the rich culinary traditions in Guatemala, and there is no better coffee in the world than Guatemala. Damn it, let’s go back.
Guatemala is a whole world in what would be considered a small country. Still much more to discover than Atitlan, GT City, Antigua and Peten.

@@Nikimar72 It's hard to say because they were both good in their own way.
It's not a really so fair comparison, is like comparing a country to a continent. Really entertaining video though. Cheers!
I'm Guatemalan and I send money to my family in Guate every month. It infuriates me every time because of how much less the quetzal is worth compared to the peso. Idk why Guatemala is so much more expensive either but i suspect it has something to do with the corrupt govt. It's really frustrating how much the people of Guatemala struggle to live in such an expensive country when they get paid so, SO, SOOO little. I dream of the day i can bring my family to the states.
I love both countries, but Mexico is absolutely amazing.
Guatemala is expensive because it's a much smaller place, it has smaller market competition, more monopolies, more imports on any non-agricultural goods (way less "made in Guatemala" vs "made in Mexico" goods. Tooth paste, soap, shampoo, cleaning products, etc. all are expensive). Also our currency is about 3X pricier than Mexico's. It's a bit like Canada vs US (smaller market than the US, more expensive than the US)
Guatemala is definitely more indigenous. The people who identify as "Ladino" are quite frequently only culturally Hispanic, but might have one or both parents be indigenous, all 4 grandparents be indigenous, etc. (If you are raised speaking Spanish you are pretty much "Ladino"), so the actual percentage of indigenous people (background, culture, heritage) is much higher than 42% if taking everything into account. Coming from a Guatemalan, you definitely see more fair-skinned people when visiting Mexico, no matter the place. Also, I think you see more Asians in Guatemala than Mexico. Very few African-descent people in both countries. (Don't know Mexico, but less than 0.3 in Guatemala). There are more Asian people in the country vs Garifunas.
Guatemala also has hot weather places, but the large majority of people live in the mountains (there's only about a dozen or so of small seaside towns, and no cities next to or near the ocean or in the jungle).
Both countries share a lot of things, but it's a bit asymmetrical when it comes to how similar they are. The most similar country to Mexico might be Guatemala, but the most similar country to Guatemala is not Mexico (El Salvador is definitely the most similar, then Honduras and Nicaragua).
Infrastructure is much better in Mexico because our government is simply worse and invests a lot less on it than Mexico's. Unfortunately we have the worst infrastructure in all of Central America.
I don’t know if you are from guatemala but the fair skin people in Mexico it depends where you go , East part of guatemala and morales there is a lot of fair skin people with blue eyes or green
And Coban has some mixed German and indigenous and some who look white
Most indigenous live in the north side of the country and border of Mexico
Mexico City and other states has la larger population of indigenous ancestry than Guatemalan the difference is they longer keep thier culture they don’t speak the dialect they are more western they speak Spanish only they don’t consider themselves indigenous
Mexico 🇲🇽 s larger than guatemala thier population is larger
Maybe you are talking about the huipil traje típico that Mexico City no longer has thier tradition
Guatemala might be partially more expensive for being a different and smaller country. Also, given all the jungles, there isn't as much infrastructure. I'm sure someone is getting rich and over charging for imports, like in Canada.
That's a good point. I noticed lots of things in Mexico are "Hecho en Mexico"
Guatemala has a history of German immigrants in coban,in Mexico City most people look indigenous just like Guatemalan 😅but they love to say Guatemalans are only indigenous nothing could be far from the truth , instead they could say Guatemalans preserved their culture and we don’t preserved our Aztec culture just our looks
Mexico is definitely hugely diverse. Entire neighborhoods with European and Asian populations having history there.
But in Mexico City we love celebrating our indigenous heritage and sharing that we connect with Guatemala too!
what are you talking about? mexican people dont know nothing about guatemala, they dont mention them, never compare them, because guatemala has been isolated from mexico, people can associated with indigenous in guatemala the same way they do with southern mexico, and mexico have more diverse immigration diversity, AND there isnt such thing like "aztec culture"
@@noematz5711 yes they do ! lots of people from Mexico City and other regiones when they hear the word guatemala they say oh they are indigenous which is not an insult but it’s interesting their reaction but they also ignore there is mixed people in guatemala not only indigenous
@@Nikimar72 like i told you, the most of the mexican people dont know to mucho about Guatemala, they can asume they are indigenous the same like southern mexican states
@@esaubetancourt3370 I know mexico is very diverse has a lots immigrants descendents , the same guatemala , what surprises me is their reaction to Guatemalan looks not all indigenous are short it depends of the region, also some Mexicans are not proud of their indigenous looks they are the ones who make remarks of guatemalan looks
I think you’re missing the boat with Mexico 🇲🇽.
Central and southeast México is full of indigenous traditions and a lot more than just tourist resorts.
It ranks first in the Americas with unesco sites: colonial towns, archeological sites, natural parks, etc etc etc
There’s no comparison between Mexico and Guatemala! In any way, Mexico is a world on its own but cheaper, that’s why is a better place to retire.
Mexico's infrastructure is huge, can't compare, it has so many places to visit its just so big in the other hand Guatemala its like a jewel it shines all over, so many places to visit and see, lately with everyone being able to carry a cam and access to internet people have started to see this country's pluricultural society.

you cannot compare GT and MX , you just cant, if you have to, then compare GT to MX state by state specifically, you just cant dude.
This is a guide for tourists considering visiting 2 different countries.
I’d argue that when you go south in the US you will find more and more hispanic heritage, like TX, AZ, NM, and CA were all part of Mexico at one point and you can defenitely sense the shared heritage. Saying northern Mexico is more americanized is just missing the point of history and geography.
That's fair. What I meant more though was the industrialization of northern Mexico
You are ok in some of the facts, but let me tell you, you havent been in all of Guatemala, Guate has 22 departments or states, my question to you is, have you been in all 22, or have you been just around the tourist ring?. Did you know it snows in Guate, the departments that usually have snow are. Huehuetenango and San Marcos. Have you visited those departments? Did you know we have a little desert too. Have you been in Jalapa. Zacapa, Chiquimula Jutiapa? Livinstone?. Every department has its own traditional food, culture, they have their own touristic places. So basically I would say, you have been in the central part of Guate, Guate, Antigua, lake Atitlan, Peten. That makes four departments only. You still need to discoves the other 18 departments. Cost of living out of the tourist ring is a lot cheaper also.

I wouldn't call the north of Mexico more americanized although there is some influence. The north of Mexico and some north-central states like Jalisco and Zacatecas has more of a European influence than native in terms of people, food, customs, etc.
Cost of living is true... Guatemala is more expensive than Mexico, seems like it is because the salary on Guatemala is higher than Mexico, and also the currency has more value...
So...
higher salary, valuable currency: Higher cost of living
Well, the lady that pays 3 dollars a cup of coffe, is she in Antigua, it tells you why. Go to Toto and you will pay twenty five cents. Im gonna say this, I think guayemalans are abusing tourist with the prizes, and nobody says anything. I was letting another you touber know that he needed to negotiate prizes for rent, if they tell you, i rent this house for 400.00 you got to say I'll pay you 300.00, most likely renter will accept it. Dont buy , where they are abusing the prices. That is something that yall need to bring to the attention of authorities too. Im a guatemalan too, and I know.
El Salvador is even more which is insane.
Cost of living in Guatemala is significantly higher because most companies are own by the same group of people. These people are allowed to set prices at their convenience with no competition. This is a result of corruption and basically a broken system. (Oligarchy) sad… but is the reality. I am Guatemalan and lived there all my life until 2 years ago.
Mexico and Guatemala are not too much diversity in terms of ethnicity like other Latin countries.
What latin country do you think has the most?
@@TheNewTravel if we talked about Hispanic countries definetly Colombia, they are mixed of different ethnicities ( black, indigenous, white, some Asians, a lot arab background ) etc but in general just if I can choose one in latinamerica. , Brazil second Colombia.
You’re absolutely WRONG. You can’t compare Guatemala with Mexico because there’s no point of comparison. First of all Guatemala is MAYA. Mexico is AZTECA. You didn’t go to every single city in Guatemala. So you can’t say there’s no a wide variety of food “compare to Mexico”.
Mexico is much much more than Aztec. So many cultures in one single country. I don’t doubt Guatemala is a beautiful country. Comparison is just between pears and apples.
So in your opinion is guatemala 🇬🇹 the same as colombia 🇨🇴 when it comes to the crime?
Mexico >>>> Guatemala
Guatemala = Mexico
@@Ieatchildren749 México = 15 Guatemalas
México it's more bigger n whit more money so maybe for this is more develop
We know that Mexico should be compare with brazil
“Same style of food because of the Spaniards “ that not true most of our food is from our indigenous roots that we share similiarites

Coyote Rd. S.b bill babcock
Nothing on earth can compete with Mexico in terms of food and culture. Respect . 🇲🇽🇬🇹
I've lived in both countries and hands down Guatemala is the best.
NOPE NOPE NOPE YOU ARE DELUSIONAL HOW ARE YOU COMPARING GUATEMALA WITH MEXICO???
MAYBE GUATEMALA WITH CHIAPAS OR OAXACA YEAH BUT NOT THE COUNTRY OF MEXICO THAT'S CRAZY AND VERY VERY MISLEADING
Everyone is allowed their own opinion, Lawrence.
@@TheNewTravel
YES I AGREE 100% WITH YOU BUT IT GOES BEYOND THAT ITS LIKE COMPARING NICARAGUA TO CANADA
ITS A LITTLE INSULTING PEOPLE WILL TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY.
MEXICO BRAZIL YES
MEXICO ARGENTINA YES
MEXICO PERU YES
MEXICO COLOMBIA YES
Costs are high due to gentrification given white and all kinds of Americans with there currencies and Europeans taking over.
Chiapas once was from Guatemala then México anexed it to become a new mexican state, that's why mexican's think is similar to Guate cause it was the same architechture but now there is no tradition. chiapanecos requested for their etnia and culture to remain however México's goverment refused to help them keep it so when chiapanecos were protesting on the streets, everyone got killed by order from México's gpverment so the culture was lost but yet in Guatemala still remains so there is that
Thanks for sharing this piece history. So sad this happened in Chiapas and wasn't indigenous cultural erasure also attempted in Guatemala during their civil wars?
Chiapas NEVER BELONGED to Guatemala, since Guatemala was a slave state of New Spain. It belonged to New Spain, then to Mexico.
I was a fan of your channel, but imagine tryin to compare Guatemala to Mexico, time to culture yourself fam
There's nothing wrong with comparing different places. If you get offended that is your own issue
You got Northern Mexico wrong. Though American influence is strong, it's far from Americanized; compared to Southern Mexico, Northern Mexico is more Spanish/Old Europe, but it's a different world from the US. Tijuana for istance more resembles a Colombian city than San Diego. Though there's much idustrial actvity, North Mexico has a strong ranch and cowboy culture, and the cartel/narco presence is high.
Hispanic = European ✌🏼….but bro that was a good breakdown 👍🏼
Let me question something do you know where you will go after you die? If not let me say you can have a choice to either go to hell or heaven see 2000 years ago there was this man named Jesus who died on the cross for our sins and rose alive 3 days later all because he truly loved us he died for us so I question you now do you truly believe in Jesus or do you live for the world turn to Jesus Christ trust in him Christ has way much more to give than the world he loves us turn to Christ
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS BUT SORRY MY FREAND BUT YOU CAN'T compare Guatemala TO MEXICO, MEXICO IS JUST TO BIG YOU HAVE DIFFERENT WORLDS JUST IN THE COUNTRY OF MEXICO YOU HAVE THE
*YAQUI* WORLD ALL THRUE THE NORTH OF MEXICO
CENTER THE *TEOTIHUACÁN*=*AZTEC* WORLD
THE *ZAPOTEC* WORLD
THE *OLMEC* WORLD
AND THE *MAYAN WORLD
THERES JUST TO MUCH TO COMPARE TO MEXICO,BUT WATEMALA IS BEAUTIFUL BUT I WOULD COMPARE IT TO THE STATE OF CHIAPAS OR TO THE STATE OF OAXACA, BUT NOT MEXICO CITY OR JALISCO OR NUEVO LEON WICH ARE IN ANOTHERE LEVEL OF RICH AND Prosperous
I think he pointed out several times that Mexico had a variety of cultures within its larger country than did Guatemala.
I have been to 6 Latin American countries, and most of them although different in many aspects have a lot in common, first the indigenous heritage in their cultures and the Hispanic culture that was imposed to their people! There is also some African descendants in some countries that blended their culture with the rest of their respective nations social fabric! Some nations are more prosperous than others in that region of the world, for instance mexico has the benefit of having as a neighbor the United States 🇺🇸 and that helps their economy in a great way specially with the remittances that millions of Mexicans send back to their villages. But also we have the free trade agreement between the United States Our neighbor to the north Canada and the Mexicans, that helps the Mexicans improve their quality of life, I have to admit Mexican food is one of my favorites though!
Allot of American people are crazy about Mexico City, I’m not. Why? Because it’s too modern. It’s too much like America, I want to go to places of Mexico that’s not like America.
Some parts yes, but centro historico you can get a very different feeling
The north of Mexico is not “Americanize” lol they have a lot of more people speaking English but Mexico has so much diversity , cultures. Maybe you need to travel more haha 😬
Please don’t compare Mexico to guatemala 😂😂
Love your videos, but this video is so pointless and just weird. Like how do you compare things like cost of living in Guatemala to the entire country of Mexico? Like border cities and CDMX are way pricier than most anywhere in Guatemala. I lived in Guatemala for a couple years and also lived in Baja California (B.C.), Mexico for a few years and B.C. is wayyyyy more expensive than even the most expensive places in Guatemala. And we're not even touching on how much the cost of living varies across cities and departamentos in Guatemala.
Anyway, I think I get what you're trying to do here, but this is just a weird video 🤣
