this give me a funny idea, does that mean North Korea people are the most creative people on earth? XD ofc jokes aside since freedom give everyone the chance to be creative, only the BEST among them will shine, and will also create competition, ofc this is a different idea from a corpo agency, here we are talking about a job and how total freedom has it’s cons & pros, because i do believe Matara and michi feel way more relaxed in this type of work environment, since they did got a taste of corpos being way to overbearing, hell straight up black company type of work enviroment
The whole Hogwarts Legacy debacle is honestly what had me checked out of Froot with how disgusting that was (though i don't actively harass her but just choose instead to not watch any content involving her, which is what most people should do honestly); and no shade at everyone at V-shojo since not everyone is deliberately controversial, but if one of their members posts something despairing making someone look like the scum of the earth then its poor them with back-pats, if someone comes back to set the record straight over things that happened they get dog piled to protect their friend. You see this in practically every drama that happened with their members.😕 But yeah, its talent freedom until its not and they always do their reigning back behind closed doors and really only to protect certain people it seems.
@@XionSteel there’s some clarification elsewhere, Froot actually said it in an unrelated stream before everything even went down. @@Mondoness dont really watch Hina but shes fine. Mari streams a bit late for me. Shondo a bit early. Smug is fine but streams around the same time as the Korsche. Its a timing issue not a content issue.
It’s just funny to me how the Vshojo fanbase moved on when Vshojo didn’t warn people sooner about the fake email scam that got people doxxed and swatted, moved on when the members did PR apologies to Nux and moved on when Froot said “everybody makes mistakes” in her chat when it came to Silver getting harassed…but Froot cheating on her husband was a step too far? I get cheating is terrible but where was all this hate during the first two dramas? If anything, Vshojo should never be trusted again after that email controversy. How many Vtubers got swatted, doxxed and their info taken?
My stance on Froot will always be this: I don't care that she cheated. I'm not going to date her, so any issue I could have is immediately solved. My issue is that she, her mom, & her company tried to hide it, & they went so far as to abuse RUclips's copyright when doing so. Twice. Something that they've barely addressed. As for the rest of Vshojo, some of them really need to learn how to stop talking. They've lightly touched on politics, some things they shouldn't be. Some get hate & can't help but sperg out. & The biggest concern is how... clique-y they can feel at times. Their behavior, I think, partly stems from the fact that Gun Run is a former Twitch employee (literally helped start the company). The other part stems from the niji refugees. I could just be schizo though.
I mean the clique-y thing was said by Sayu which maybe you think she's just some vindictive bitch who's words can't be trusted, but there's enough actions and words stated from others that makes it fairly probable. Like Silvervale talking about how fake everyone was in the group which happened some amount of time before her leaving as well as after the Hogwarts stuff where Froot threw indirect shade at her, the Nux thing where one of the two sides is in the wrong where someone is betraying their friend's trust, the hiring process where it seems completely open to friends only despite open auditions.
@anthonynguyen1289 Sayu functionally got unpersoned by everyone except indies & small corpos (mainly Phase), & Vshojo will rarely ever risk their brand with someone like that, especially with her humor. Vshojo just feels like... you're average Twitch streamer. With all of the problems that come with it. But, because it's under the same company label, it's more noticeable.
@@anthonynguyen1289 sayu also spoke very highly of Vshojo and said that if it was an option for her that it would have been a very nice option just not one that was open to her (partially cause her unresolved stuff with Matara which was a mistake on Sayu’s end by her own admission)
Talent Freedom means the talent can do what they believe will further their branding. However that Talent Freedom also comes with strings like not destroying the reputation of the company itself. This has always been the biggest issue with Vshojo, the Nux situation proved they didnt have a good enough manager apparatus to support and defend the talent. Nux oddly worked with Gunrun to uncover the issue and was given the green light to post a video about it. It was his managers who failed along with Legal that put pressure on Gunrun to make Nux take it down. Then those managers railroaded Nux as reprisal. Froot was always a problem streamer even before Vshojo. She was a e-girl turned vtuber then on top of all of that she was constantly a meangirl towards other smaller vtubers. She lucked out in part due to being friends with Nyanners, Vae and Silver. The following she got (aka her simps) were in part fueled by her face reveal before Vshojo was formed. However people already knew about her cheating allegations, some even got the full story that she was emotionally manipulative towards her ex husband and used his PTSD against him. Then when there was forms of retaliation she played victim. This was her ex-husbands story about Froot. The problem was at the time she was gaining popularity and like any celeb she quietly paid him off. The problem with payoffs is while it may eventually get the accuser to back down, it doesnt stop independents from keeping up the attack. No one was asking Froot about her past. Its more of Froot started to see people pull away from her because of that Hogwarts behavior. How she acted since then, and that a lot of her Vshojo members actively kept an arms length away from her and collabed with other Vtubers. What she did was to create controversy for relivence...in turn she harmed herself and Vshojo as a brand.
@@grygaming5519 even if all that she did was true, pushing her too far is not any better. We’ve seen in the past that bullying and harassment can lead to loss of life and this goes both ways. If what happened to Luluu Ria was anything to go by, it can happen to her too
Very detailed an informative breakdown of what happened. I'm not that familiar with Froot outside of listening to her song covers. She's got a good metal voice. @@grygaming5519 “nobody was asking Froot about her past” tell me you don’t know what’s going on without saying you don’t know what’s going on As recent as a few months before the doc, the people harassing Froot and those connected to her were so prevalent Mouse herself addressed it basically saying the allegations were false and that people should stop harassing people over stuff they knew nothing about (may not be exact since I am going off something that happened months ago but the general gist is accurate I can assure you and the clip still exists so very easy to check) Also Froot and Silver are still friends. The idea Froot intentionally backstabbed Silver is a myth using a statement taken out of context And I’ll also add that her ex provided no real evidence of cheating running off the moment he was being questioned and Froot was provided a mountain against him so I think Froot’s a bit more believable Most the allegations against Froot come from AntHime who intentionally cropped stuff to manipulate evidence, fabricated photos of Froot to try to legitimize claims she made, took recordings clipped them and spread them without context, and straight up broke the law Look I don’t like Froot but the narratives against her are absolutely ridiculous and baseless
Imma be honest I’d much rather more transparency not less. I’d rather Vshojo be open about letting people know when management opposes something. Rather then quietly silence them from behind the curtain like a certain other agency
Other than their very public histories, it's mainly that we can't even go six months without one of them causing some kind of shitshow. We can all agree they are consistent in that regard at least.
Vshojo talents want to believe they have the same freedoms to do whatever they want like indies but then not have to deal with any of those consequences because they are also technically corporate. . .but as seen here, that is impossible

I see the problem, they omitted some of the slogan from talent freedom... -until it affects the company's image or bottom line- no but jokes aside there is a reason guidelines and regulations are placed on employees when operating under their association. Making your whole brand letting your employees do what they want is a problem when the employee start getting into trouble, regardless of whether you as an individual believe xyz controversy was justified or not it causes the company at large reputational damages with someone.
Now, even my personal stance and opinions on Froot aside, right now i think VShojo has more or less ironed out most of the problems. But Froot is the biggest problem, like she's basically a magnet for drama, she just keeps doing that for clout, and it affects other streamers in the company, like with that doc drop. Vshojo would just be way better without Froot. As for the management thing, they should've also stepped in when Froot threw Silvervale, her coworker under the bus essentially and supported hogwarts legacy harassment campaign, instead of stepping in when there was zero need for them to do so. The whole Nux thing could've been handled better but, eh, in that case both sides acted like fools. The only other problem i can think of is streaming exclusively on twitch, i mean why not use restream? Doesn't take much effort and nets more viewers, and if memory serves me right twitch removed the no-multistreaming rule. 14:19 Oh, old Pochi model, been ages since i last seen it, glad someone still remembers her.
The nux thing really rubbed me the wrong way. It would have been so simple to put out a statement "VShojo will only contact you via [insert method]" but they sat on it. Then when an outside party put out the warning, they declared war. That completely stripped the illusion that those girls cared about anyone other than themselves.
@JAWsInfinity i think that nux is a awful person and how he handle the taiga situation and leeching off vtuber drama that has nothing to do with him. I think vshojo is in the wrong In this situation they allow him to cover the situation and praise him for covering it but immediately change their minds for unknown reasons and backstabbing him for covering a situation that he was allowed to cover
5:07 Everytime I see this pisses me off. Especially because the justification is, its for there talent "safety" like what the hell. The whole issue was that there was someone impersonating Vshojo and recruiting "NEW" members and obtaining information about them. If you saw the video Nux posted, "HE" was a targeted victim. Which is why he made a video exposing the impersonator with the help Muta. Which has been going on for months. 1st. So riddle me this how the fuck do you fear for your "safety" when the impersonator is going after indie Vtubers and not those that are already apart of Vshojo. On top of already knowing this is going on since early spring 2021. Nux video and fiscal happen in November. 2nd. Vshojo is terrible company and the way it ran or structure. If this would have been 1 time incident with Nux and moved forward it would have been fine. But then you see talent leaving and members doing controversial things. Which also irritates me when Ironmouse says "yeah i dont know why they dont like us" (paraphrase but you get the point) Geez I wonder why.

Okay, having only relative freedom instead of pure freedom? Fine. Talent freedom is fine but it's not like they have zero rules currently otherwise they wouldn't even have contracts, right? Honestly, good vid. You give some very fair points of criticism that vshojo should hear. This isn’t a hate video, it’s a video about how they can be better in the future. Was informative and entertaining for some one who isn’t really into the vtuber scene. If somehow people are angry at this, they shouldn’t. Constructive criticism is how you better yourself. If you believe you are perfect and above criticism, you set yourself up for failure.
I mean they already completely failed at grasping what happened with Nux, so my trust in that is low. Rima has a much better video explaining the incident and it was mostly on Nux
This is more a response to the comments rather than the video itself; I don't get many of these takes, non-arguments, and absurd caping being performed by a continuous handful that just makes no sense. At some point, unless you willingly remove your centers for logic and reason, the preponderance of existing evidence, be it anecdotal/factual/empirical, is enough to make a proper judgment of something. Vshojo has a habit of shooting themselves in the foot for no reason. Froot has a contentious online history, and regardless if you believe some of it is incorrect or falsified, the reality is that she is constantly the epicenter of all these issues. If you want to patron her or her company, do you, but being surprised that people don't agree or abide and want to stop hearing about it, and running defense around it for someone who doesn't even know of your existence is inarguably some amount of pathetic. Also, just to address some things directly: two people following each other on Twitter doesn't make them friends, and a known pot-stirrer saying they're still friends with an ex-coworker with no provided evidence is hysterical hearsay bordering on gaslighting. Cool to see the new model and new content style.
Look, idk Froot. I’ve only seen clips. But, like all drama, I think this is all either exaggerated or an overreaction. I’m not dismissing legitimate criticisms, just saying usually it’s not worth getting upset over. Let alone to the extent people take it. Attacking people for so much as suggesting they were sympathetic towards Froot over the cheating allegations. The slightest dissenting opinion on that specifically brought so much hate. A blind hate. And I don’t see that level of hate being necessary, even if the allegations were true. It’s not worth getting that upset over. Heck, I expect this comment to get a lot of hate if it gets traction and/or doesn’t get eaten by RUclips. I also think truth matters and if lies are being spread they need to be weeded out. Or else any legitimate criticisms may come to be dismissed because of the lies. And this applies to anything not just Froot and VShojo.
And if I got the jnfo right, standard procedure is to not make a public statement since that would mean bringing attention to the fact that the feds were onto the scammers.
I think VShojo needs to change its mission, because it isn't feasible. The company needs to intervene from time to time. Censoring the talents, especially the ones with bad PR sense, protects them.
I'm Glad, That No one Went After PK during this. I can't imagine dealing With the Ramifications ((Subsequently being made Public Number #1)) from Froots BPD Episode alongside loosing his home in Carolina here.
Freedom doesn't warrant irrational and irresponsible behavior and actions. Froot doesn't get that, and neither does Gunrun. You can put your talents in a frame without feeling the need to suffocate them, cutting them loose and letting them do whatever they want on their MAIN accounts is not the only way to go. Idk why Vshojo insists on doing what they are doing... and worst of all - I do not know why and how they stay afloat other than following trends. Vshojo is more of a very loosely-defined Twitch Stream Team than an agency because Vshojo talents do NOT: - Collab with each other as often as they collab with completely unrelated people; - Have a schedule they are expected to adhere to, not even a little bit (I mean shit, look at Hime Hajime, she just streams whenever she wants, can take a year and half break from vtubing without a reason while still actively posting shit on twitter); - Have any sort of deadline for anything they make; - Have any rules or guidelines that limit what they can say and how on their channels and accounts (again, look at Hime Hajime - she mouthed off about irl politics on her Twitter like it was no problem; this would end up with a contract termination if it was Hololive; and also look at Froot, of course); There is more but these are the things that peeve me the most.

Remember when people made a shit list of people who supported her? Like the people who made a list of streamers who played the wizard game? Horseshoe theory is real.
It's less of a horseshoe theory but more of a characteristic of the twitter brainrot. Not to mention that most of those "people" don't have any ideals, they just love the slacktivism aspect of getting mad and acting like a subhuman without any responsibility. In part, it's taken from east-asian netizens, in part, from tumblr, but the result is simple: the bunch of infantile no-livers that weren't bullied enough, and, therefore, would gladly do the most evil and disgraceful shit, just to tickle their fun centers in their brains.
From what I understand Nux went nuclear against the scammer at the same time that management was working behind the scenes to do things in the proper order with regards to legal proceedings etc. Management was fearing a massive lawsuit if it could be shown that he was acting on behalf of anyone in Vshojo. Considering how much Nux had been talking to various talents, and they had probably told him to not do anything, he was the one who ruined everything. You don't understand how utterly screwed the company could have gotten from his actions, and because he's a moron who will scream any secret out loud, they couldn't risk telling him in secret on a video call that they have to distance themselves due to legal stuff, and he was too dumb to figure it out himself. The statement they did was a bit overkill, I'll say that, since they're accusing him of malicious doxxing when really it's more like revealing a scammer to the world, but they can't afford to give an inch of credibility to any theory that Nux and Vshojo were in cahoots. Remember, it's not about who's right, it's about who is within the law. And defamation/doxxing lawsuits can get nasty if you're unlucky with the jurisdiction. Think of it this way: Nux was playing with matches in the powderkeg storage room. Vshojo management slapped him hard, and he ran away crying and portrayed himself as if he wasn't doing anything dangerous. Btw, I don't really like Vshojo that much myself, how they treated Silvervale was atrocious, but the nux situation isn't what you portrayed it as. If you can't see this, then you can't see 90% of the reason corpo is the way it is, and you also won't see it coming when one day you've stepped over a boundary and find yourself at the end of massive lawfare.
oh, and Froot is a total trash person, and the whole "comraderie" they have between them comes off as ultra fake so often. They're way too often being shown to be total vapid virtue signallers who'd sell their parents if it got them clout. You don't get to talk about mental health and how important it is to stand by your friends when one of your colleagues organized a hate mob against another of your colleagues over a game, a franchise game that didn't even involve the person who supposedly was the devil herself. The only ones who acted correctly in the wizard game situation were Phase Connect. Tenma's legendary tweet and Pippa playing the game even though she hates Harry Potter, just because she hated the twitter mob more.
I realize I didn't write it unambiguously: management would be afraid that the scammer could sue Vshojo, after Nux doxxed him. This would happen because Nux had been in so much contact with Vshojo and their talents regarding this matter, and Nux going nuclear could have been an underhanded and ILLEGAL way of dealing with the scammer, orchestrated by Vshojo or one of the talents that Nux talked to. If such a connection was shown, Vshojo could be in deep doodoo, even though the dude was a scammer. As such, they needed to distance themselves absolutely from Nux until it all died down with a strong enough signal that it could not be mistaken that Nux went rogue.
You’re blaming the person who exposed the scam, rather than the actual scammer or the company that wasn’t doing anything to protect their signed talent? Holy deflection Batman!
@@halo2dDidn't Vshojo have talks with law enforcement at the time? And they were told to keep quiet about it so they can catch the perpetrator and not erase their tracks? Not to mention while all of this was going on the company contacted the two persons who were doxxed to keep them safe. Nux was only in it to paint himself as a savior of the people.

Good video with some good points on management. However i do recommend looking into the Froot allegations more cause a lot of it turned out to be a bunch of bullshit. I did two videos on it recently after an extensive investigation. It was kind of an insane rabbit hole. Also the way the vtuber community reacted to this controversy was embarrassingly shit. Most people just blindly believed what was said on 4chan and twitter with no evidence or just straight up lies. I do admit Froot handled the situation very poorly though. She kinda just stuck her head in the sand and let management try to suppress the people slandering her. You may disagree but I think Froot should have released the doc much sooner and went more in-depth on her side of things instead of ignoring it cause the longer it goes on the longer the false allegations fester and more people hate her. Also although Depressed Nousagi's video on Froot was good at the time he has admitted with the new info that has came out that the video has become very much outdated and plans to do a follow up. So doing a plug for it now without a disclaimer is kinda disingenuous but i understand. It is the most concise video out there on the topic right now and a lot of it still holds up so not a big deal. Oh and Turkey Tom was investigating this too. I don't know for sure if he's making a main channel video on it though, but i hope so cause this drama got really degenerate lmaooooo
@@Rain_blackrose_HxAyeah nop still don’t believe her because this is easy to fake, chat and conversations, also this is not the first time some one made allegations of abuse without knowing the other side of the story, she could very well hide a lot of her faults she did in the relationship😊

Saying the other talents didn’t know about the allegations against her is impossible. Not only was the hate against Froot practically impossible to ignore if you were at all connected to her. But Mouse even addressed said antis herself basically telling them that there was no merit to what they were claiming and to stop harassing her friend and everyone associated with her. And this was a good few months before the doc dropped. Meaning the hate against her was STILL going AND that the other talents at least Mouse were well aware and skeptical of them if not rejecting them all together
@@megarotom1590 it is very easy to ignore hate. Sure they probably know that people hate Froot but there might be a big chance that they havent looked into it.
@ If a friend is hit with false accusations or what you believe is false accusations, the instinct is to try to disprove them and protect them from harassment. I find it very unlikely they were unaware of the accusations. They just didn’t believe them to be true (which they largely weren’t btw, both the theory that she betrayed Silver and the theory she cheated on her husband have been as debunked as any accusations of those natures can be)
I think you misunderstand Kson’s actions. She was not forced by management to delete. They asked her to likely bc her post could be interpreted as a condoning to anyone unhinged. She later created a thread explaining her thoughts in more detail. So clearly they weren’t trying to silence her opinion just simply asking her to delete the post that was worded poorly Emphasis on asked If vshojo actually wanted to silence her opinion they wouldn’t let her say that management asked her nor explain her post
For the 2nd Drama, I just don't think Froot deserves this kind of harassment. She might have cheated but that does not mean we can jump into conclusions.
Yeah, the whole Froot situation is all just "he said, she said" situation, we don't know if she actually cheated or not, just taking one person's side as proof but haven't prove their claim or back it up proof and evidence unlike the latter, so anything are just allegedly until we hear the whole story on the case, so a lesson from this is not jump to conclusions no matter if you like the person or not, or hate the person of such tbh, keep your biases from this, so yeah
the whole thing was that there was absolute no NEED for she to post that. the whole "cheating" thing has been known for many years already and most people forgot about it but she decided it was a good idea to revive that topic out of nowhere for no reason at all XD.
No one forgot about it "Ant-Hime" reminded everyone about it a year ago, then a month before the document "Depressed Nousagi" ended up reminding everyone again about the allegations so no she wasn't the one trying remind everyone she was trying to forget about it, what is even more evident is the the document wasn't trying to explain any kind of infidelity, only about her abuse from her ex-lover it just so happened that page 85 explained that ex-"husband" who initiated the breakup, broke up with her a month before she was seeing someone else, so cheating may not have happened.
@0senBlade Yeah, I don't know why people believe the ex husband, it is innocent until proven guilty, it is all allegations at this point until someone goes to court over it, it is MeToo movement 2.0 all over again
@alternative_five I agree, this whole thing was not needed, but she has no choice but to clear her name because people still accusing her or unfaithful because but with no actual evidence only going off person's account that haven't backed with any evidence just accusing of such while the latter had to try to prove otherwise from all the allegations that were thrown at her, it is innocent until proven guilty and she should not try to prove herself as innocent and we should take what said as is, allegations for legal reasons, so read about the story about the boy who cried wolf, we need to learn from that story tbh

My stance on Froot will always be this:
I don't care that she cheated.

Also Froot and Silver are still friends. The idea Froot intentionally backstabbed Silver is a myth using a statement taken out of context
And I’ll also add that her ex provided no real evidence of cheating running off the moment he was being questioned and Froot was provided a mountain against him so I think Froot’s a bit more believable

But i'm surprised at this time the company with the least drama is Phase connect and Brave group which they don't wanna even bother to talk about because they'er just a bunch of small corpos that became affiliates
This is more a response to the comments rather than the video itself;
I don't get many of these takes, non-arguments, and absurd caping being performed by a continuous handful that just makes no sense.
@@aerosyne agreed. I do enjoy people getting mad about Y when video is about X.
And this applies to anything not just Froot and VShojo.
i thought the thumbnail was the vtuber you were gonna talk about. i didn't realise it was YOUR vtuber

talent freedom, no/low standards
There's no standards in vshojo though, because you can only get in via nepotism after all
1:34 wasnt it that the company gave him permission but the talents personally didnt want it
all them freaking out would do is bring more attention to the scam so i dont get the logic
And if I got the jnfo right, standard procedure is to not make a public statement since that would mean bringing attention to the fact that the feds were onto the scammers.

Freedom doesn't warrant irrational and irresponsible behavior and actions.
Froot doesn't get that, and neither does Gunrun.
This is why Hololive maintains a professional image by setting down fair ground rules while at the same time give them talent freedom to do what they want to entertain their audience.
You know you f-cked up when a well known figure like Gabe Newell called you out on your baloney.
It's a parody account that pretend to be Gabe, it's not actually him lol
@@diligentone-six2688 who gets to decide what behavior is irresponsible? Plenty of people say that Froot was completely in the right to post the document as it gave her side. Here’s the funny thing, until you give your side people will claim you’re admitting guilt and then the moment you do, they claim you only caused more problems by doing so.
That's the thing. If they want to act as a company, they must be professional.
@@SergioLeonardoCornejo the definition of that is subjective and Vshojo very clearly doesn’t want to be like other companies, it would have never gotten where it was copying what everyone else did
There are pros and cons to both… but for those in Vshojo clearly the pros are higher
@@megarotom1590 let me put it this way. Professionalism includes not alienating your audience (they've done so, mostly Froot), and not doing things for that make you look bad individually (Froot again).
Vshojo is more of a very loosely-defined Twitch Stream Team than an agency because Vshojo talents do NOT:
- Collab with each other as often as they collab with completely unrelated people;
- Have a schedule they are expected to adhere to, not even a little bit (I mean shit, look at Hime Hajime, she just streams whenever she wants, can take a year and half break from vtubing without a reason while still actively posting shit on twitter);
- Have any sort of deadline for anything they make;
- Have any rules or guidelines that limit what they can say and how on their channels and accounts (again, look at Hime Hajime - she mouthed off about irl politics on her Twitter like it was no problem; this would end up with a contract termination if it was Hololive; and also look at Froot, of course);
There is more but these are the things that peeve me the most.
thous matter jack bro, got really bend out of shape for just one person, so fucking what that she bearly streams? ain’t none of your god damn buissniess, also the majority have a schedule ??? you only brought hime as if every one does the same as her? also what deadline do you bloody need? they have no contractual obligation TO YOU

@@piotrjeske4599 vast majority are indifferent to her. But this stunt ended up with some people that hate her, exposing why and people who had no reason who she was ended up with a negative perception of her.
@AzeharaCh But that wasn't the point of the video? Why feed them?

Great video. It's very informative. I was not familiar with VShojo.
They just didn’t believe them to be true (which they largely weren’t btw, both the theory that she betrayed Silver and the theory she cheated on her husband have been as debunked as any accusations of those natures can be)
Everyone dunking on you proved what matara said pre vtubing right that she could get channers to defend her to the end once she got the model lol

I think you misunderstand Kson’s actions. She was not forced by management to delete. They asked her to likely bc her post could be interpreted as a condoning to anyone unhinged. She later created a thread explaining her thoughts in more detail. So clearly they weren’t trying to silence her opinion just simply asking her to delete the post that was worded poorly
Emphasis on asked
If vshojo actually wanted to silence her opinion they wouldn’t let her say that management asked her nor explain her post

@@danielbriones2938 but in the context of this video, he didn't.
