What are you working on in your shop right now?
Friend me on Instagram and find out. 😂😂 or check Facebook for my answer.
Today I'll be gluing up a set of segmented handle scales for a hunting/camp knife and starting a heat treat oven build. The oven came from an orthodontist (Cress Electric Furnace used as a "burn out oven"). I took out the old components, and using redbeardops/DC knives tutorial and recommend parts for the build with a few mods. Gonna be F-U-N!!
Next on the list is a brake drum forge. What I love about knife making is we get to build damn near every tool or machine to make our knives. Who could ask for anything better as a hobby? LOVE IT!
I totally agree!
Kbar sheath. Knife is done, I'll email you finished pics of both when I get the sheath finished.
A dagger for the viewer challenge. It will likely be my first true blade 🤞🏼
Hi.
Im from Poland, and price of energy growed up to 200%, i wonder if in the USA energy is on the same level like before 2020?
Price is high here also
Great video/videos on the grinder build. Thanks for posting. I have been considering this and after watching I have decided this would be the best option for me. Can't wait to see part four. Thanks.
You certainly will not be disappointed!
Airin I have been watching Brian since he started building gen 1 grinder I found you in one of the challenges I will build 1 of these for myself when I can and get the sharping attachment also its a great machine your videos are really good I like them and look forward your next video, put some wild scales on your gen 4 handle
I plan on it! Thanks Henry!

This is my 3rd grinder and I plan to use all 3!
Question, With the current situation with Russia do you know if we are allowed to buy from Oleg? I'm interested in buying some more blocks of his gorgeous work but not sure if we can. Paypal is back on for him so I'm curious if you or anyone else may know if it's doable.
100% Jim and I am glad to see the support for him as he has nothing to do with the current events over there! I am in contact with him daily and he is very much still shipping, although shipping is taking longer than usual due to the circumstances
@@Aleeknives Awesome! Just wanted to make sure. He messaged me today and will be posting new batch soon. Thanks for your help.
going to b e as really nice tool when you get it all sorted, looks great as is and again useful tips, thanks for this
Yes sir!
very cool, this will be a nice project for me in the future. Thanks for sharing buddy 👍
Great video as always Airin!
Thank you! I appreciate that 🙏
Great build, video, and series, my brother! I want one of those grinders! A true testament to you and Brian! Thanks for sharing! 😎👍🏻🔨🔥🗡️
You are welcome! Excellent product speaks for itself!
I want one of these grinders so bad. I followed along as he took it to production and now I'm watching you build one. One of these days hopefully I can afford it. Probably be after I get both my daughters to college. Only got 12 more years for my youngest.
I would purchase the kit first and then you have something to work on as you purchase the other parts needed. Eventually you will jave a top quality grinder in your shop!
Good Morning Sunshine!
100%
MIG welds are somuch more elegant than flux cored beads I had a time of it cleaning off the spatter! Anyways, as always you did a stellar job explaining each step concisely, and concretely. This series definitely makes an excellent companion to Brian's build video :)
That is a really great compliment!
Why not just stick and past from Brian
Where’s the update?
I haven't made another video yet
Thanks Airin! Was nice hanging out in the shop with ya lol. I might be doin this build in July.. still pending lol
Aeesome!
👍
Thanks Don!
Love it brother I always look forward to your videos I can’t wait to upgrade to a 2 x 72 for my shop
It is a game changer for sure! I have some cool knife build videos on the way!
Always impressed with your level of description and detail of your content. I would be 100% confident with this build, given your tutorial. Nice job!
Thanks Ryan! We should hang out again man!
@@Aleeknives oh yeah!, in the process of working on new house, I'm wanting to have you over to talk about workshop layout. I'm really wanting to get started on making knives and leather work! You inspire us bro, we will catch up soon!
