yesterday was my last day of school so I brought my Nintendo 64 in and me and for friends played Mario kart all day on a huge TV screen so much fun it reminded me of my child hood
I fucking loved this game. I remember playing it when i was 5-6...and then we got an xbox. Now its 10 years later and im hooking up my n64. Still awesome

Good race between Mario and Schmid. I had my money on Mario wining and Schmid managed to pull ahead a few times when he was off to a bad start, but im glad i kept my money on mario since Schmid got wrecked in the 2nd circuit.
I thought all of Toad's victories over Mario were a little cheap in the first cup: but he totally got his just desserts in Toad's Turnpike. Karma FTW! XD
Mario Kart 64 had a lot of bugs, didn't it? I mean, "Turbo Mode!" was a bug, aparantly the smaller characters had both the top acceleration AND the top speed, and the item system was flawed at best - Hell, you showed that you can get a star in about 2nd place in the first race you took! ... And the game was so much more awesome for it.

The game is so rigged, though xD When playing 150cc grand prix there's ALWAYS 2 characters that will keep catching up to you no matter WHAT you do :P
There is one thing I can't get straight. Nintendo 64 came out 1997 in europe, that is 16 years ago. And still.... Nintendo 64 did these amazing games with adventures lie Super mari 64, Legend of Zelda, donkey kong 64, Mario kart 64, Super smash bros. And many many more ( I dont know if Zelda is on gamecube at first)

I will probbably get the new "wii u" or whatever its called when the price drops but im gonna buy a genesis first and build up my game collection for that and N64... By the way, have you seen the new wii? That thing looks awesome
Almost everything (except the track surface) is a 2D sprite, which uses very little memory and little gpu/cpu. Allows you to put more stuff on screen, and use higher color bit depth. Correct me if I'm wrong!
yeah, i can remember the days when my friend and i teamed up to try and win 1st for each race, then i would accidentally get him with a red shell or blue shell and he'd be like "GODDAMN IT SEE WHAT YOU DID?!"
