Very fitting that the cloaking device would disappear.
Although they totally could bring it back by making it the metal gear solid "Stealth Camouflage" device, which is already seen in Snake's battle intro.
No, it should stay out, it's a shit item. Having to fight someone invisible is annoying enough, but the fact it stops your damage from increasing is icing on the shit cake.

Which is why a Melee HD, or whatever the heck it is the silly Melee fanboys want, just won't happen, as Nintendo has no rights to those things anymore. And having one or two items taken out of the game due to this, the fanboys would just complain about it being a watered down version of the original Game Cube version, despite them most likely not using the items anyways.
Too bad that disabling it in Versus won't stop it from showing up in single player modes. Any CPU getting their hands on it just meant that I had to just waste my time waiting for it to wear off. Basically just another Starman except it doesn't jump off the stage.
Fun Fact: Young Link and Snake are the only former playable characters who don't appear in Smash 4 as a playable character or a trophy cameo, but Young Link is only mentioned in the OoT Adult Link Trophy and Snake was referenced during the 50 Fact Extravaganza during the Palutena Guidance reveal.
Young Link is a trophy in 3DS.

Fun Fact: Everyone in Smash Ultimate gained a 3 frame jumpsquat, Pichu is the only character not effected by this because he had a 3 frame jump squat back in Melee.

Also, the Japanese don't hate ALL Western-made franchises and characters. For example, Wallace & Gromit, Skullgirls, RWBY - all huge in Japan. Plus, Diddy Kong and Dark Samus were created by Western developers, and yet they're now playable characters in Smash.

Pit's new star KO line is one of the best things about Ultimate hands down.
I'm not sure whether to be disappointed or not about the Blood Falcon costume still being in Smash Ultimate. I was excited for the possibility of his inclusion as an Echo fighter but then I saw the image a few days later...
It'd be cool to get an extra playable character from F-Zero but I wonder if that costume totally gets rid of Blood Falcon's consideration... I'm tempted to say it does especially since there are much better characters to include. ...But still, Blood Falcon seemed like a shoo-in for me because of the echo fighter stuff.

‘2L84ME’ has nothing to do with ‘the challenge of avoiding and escaping the barrel’. It’s to do with the amount of time you have to pick it up, because its spawn time is so short. If it appears on the other side of some stages (like Hyrule Temple) to you, it usually disappears long before you get to it
And here I'm sitting still hearing of easter eggs in older SSB titles even though I have watched so many videos of this kind..

I knew about the Proximity Mine in Smash 64 and Melee being from GoldenEye 007 and I've always found it really fascinating that those games have an item from a Rare game that wasn't even a part of a Nintendo franchise. It's such a shame that they had to cut the Rare character trophies, though. :c
I found out the Ness Yoyo easter egg in Melee thanks to the special movie. They have a shot of Ness with the camera zooming in while he preforms the move.

The motion sensor bomb secrets make me wish Nintendo either bought back Rare, or made a new game featuring the motion sensor bomb that plays like Perfect Dark.
Did you know? Saying Smash is not a real fighting game, is the equivalent of saying Mario Kart isn't a real racing game and Gran Turismo and Need For Speed are. You need to understand the concept of a sub-genre. Games like Smash Bros and Brawlhalla are "Platform fighters" a sub-genre of fighting games. But those are still is a fighting game at the end of the day, just like how mascot racers such as Mario Kart and Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing are still racing games at the end of the day, they just belong in the sub-genre "Mascot racer" while Smash belongs into the "Platform fighter" genre. Saying Smash is a "party game" or "action game" is 100% incorrect because those are different genres all together.
Never heard anyone say smash isn't a fighting game. What else would it be? It takes loads of skill to actually be good at smash
Same as saying JRPGs aren't role playing games. Because let's be honest does Skyrim or Dragon Quest XI play more like DND? People act like no JRPG is non linear nor has multiple endings lol.
Besides, a linear story has nothing to do with the actual definition of an RPG. The word "role" refers to the characters, not the story.
As for Mario Kart and the like, the sub-genre is more like Arcade Style Racer or Battle Racer rather than Mascot Racer, as there can be racing games with the same gameplay style with a cast of original racers (or even just vehicles without any visible racers).
Well the final Direct of the 4th game called it a "competitive action game" but yeah that was some bullshit

Geno is all I need for this game to truly be Ultimate. If Sakurai manages to get Geno into the game, I’d love to see him confess how much he’s wanted Geno for over a decade and tell everyone what he had to go through to get such a beloved and requested character in the greatest crossover in History. It would be the most Wholesome thing ever! Geno would be the best character to end off the Base Roster in my opinion.
I hope that now that Banjo is in Smash the motion-sensor bomb gets its old design back.
