no please don't say that , I love Steve, and I love even more Ruben blades , that to me is hundred times a bigger reference in music than Steve Van Zandt i love the intention behind those lyrics , but first don't say the song was underrated because it's simply an abomination and any of those people there credited as authors would tell you exactly the same while laughing their arses off, but secondly make yourself a favor and stop writing comments like this, I don't believe for a second that you are serious when you say this song was your favourite in 1987 because there was so much good music in those days that saying this makes you look like a person with no taste in music and I love you .
If you are really serious about it well then I have nothing to say more than the song is an abomination it never should have been recorded and much less produced and all the money spent on that record and video , probably above the 2M mark it should be given to a charity for teaching kids music so they can love real good music.

One of my alltime favorites from the late 80s! I remember that "freedom - no compromise" was one of my first CDs, bought in a subterranean record store in the city of Basel/Switzerland during a "discover Europe by rail and backpack tour" in 1988.

@@SbattiPiatti Hi Adriano! Not much else to tell; I brought several of my Aztec friends up there because I had a big old Ford LTD that could carry a lot of dancers and their costumes. It took a few hours to film the sequence and we were done sometime around 1 or 2 in the morning. Jesse Borrego from _Fame_ was in the cast, as I remember.

I got this song is an old 45 rpm, back in La Spezia Italy, later going back to southAmerica in Frankfurt airpor I saw LittleSteven guy waiting also for a Plain, I say hello to him , he signed my record , I did not know Ruben Blades ( legendary panamenian Salsa singer ) was there to, that's why that voice was familiar the guy with the hat,,,,,greates salsero RUben Blades, Perdo navaja etc , and other. Crazy when some one don t speak english(me back then) and you find out later....great song, it was restricted in US.in those yearsi beleved

The guy with the shades was in a lot films from the 80's. A Man Apart was the last film I've seen him in.
T M Stevens the bassist I believe. Saw them on the Freedom No Compromise tour and he was incredible. Not sure he did any acting though.
