How to Clean Your Clear Ice Maker

The NewAir portable clear ice maker is an efficient, easy-to-use unit, perfect for making ice cubes for beverages. Cleaning the unit is a simple, three-step process that only takes a few nontoxic household items, and a few minutes!
Step 1: Drain, unplug, remove basket and scoop. Remove the two filters, located inside and on top of the unit. Rinse filters or soak in solution.
Step 2: Wipe inside of unit with soft cloth dipped in lemon juice or vinegar solution. Replace components and reassemble unit. Plug in, pour solution into top of unit. Make a batch of ice.
Step 3: Drain. Close drain plug. Pour water into top of unit and make a batch of ice. Drain again.
With that, your NewAir ClearIce40 is back to running at peak performance! Be sure to repeat the cleaning process regularly, so your ice maker can last long and continue to perform well.
