I’m sure u got a lot of advice But this is what I do as a solo on the 1st day of playing rust My suggestion to you Find a small bush called hemp and collect it and go to outpost place a marker there and run towards outpost that will be your starter base area for now. Once you got enough cloth from that bush place a sleeping bag down And start making another sleeping bag run as far as you can and put another sleeping bag down keep doing this until you reach outpost by doing this every time you die which will be a lot at least you spawn close and closer to outpost don’t worry about picking up things just cloth there no point to grab anything because you will die and someone else will get it . Ok once you finally made it to outpost which is a safe zone you can’t die there from a player but a scientist can kill you by a player jumping in front of your rock or paddle while farming at outpost but for now you’re not going to farm at outpost yet you are going to run outside near as close to outpost as possible with a bag in hand to see where you like to build a base Once you find a good kinda flat spot make sure you go away from outpost at least 1 Grid square then put a bag down put that bag with a name Base1 Now that done just do that over and over again if you die from a player before putting down that is Ok now run to outpost take your rock and do this hit all the tree or wood until you have 1375 wood Once you do make a blu print make a hammer make a lock make a TC Then run back to your base 1 bag place A Triangle down make sure it medium height not so high you can’t reach it then put a wood walls making a v shap opening place your TC there authoritize on it and put that Lock on it now put your hammer and blu print inside and the wood that left now you got your base spot down and the tc will most likely be there by the time you get back Now go to outpost and break barrels and all road signs and grab loot from tool chest or crates do this for 2 hrs of boring work make sure you go to the recycling and melt it all no need to have anything just yet . Once you’re done go to a vending machine were it sells wood and stone and metal and low grade Buy at least 8k wood 10k stone 2k metal 150 low grade U should have bonus items like cloth and HQM Farm until you have those numbers you can buy it all at the vendor machine Now head towards the area where your TC is but do not leave outpost instead just face your avatar towards the TC make sure nothing in your hands then kill your self then once respawn back near your base run down and grab 1000 and 1000 wood and stone from your body and build my starter base it’s a simple design but can add extension of build all the way up to a full tower But I’m only going to type out how to build the starter base part Your dead body should take 4-5 minutes before it despawn all your farming so make sure you build fast run and grab 1000 wood and 1000 stone ea time as needed do not carry more if someone kills you you will not lose it all at once Ok use the hammer to turn the TC V walls and lower triangle to stone then use the blueprint add one square to the front of the TC then add another square to the left side of the 1st square then put two more squares in front make sure all 4 squares are high up they don’t need to be aligned with TC make sure you turn them into stone as you go keep building until done even if you die many times Also if you think the time is running out on your dead loot body at outpost just grab everything off of it and killed your self again that way your loot will be there until your done Ok once you got the 4 square down then in front of the last square place a Triangle all the way to the floor flat then put 2 small half walls to make the V shape then put a door opening in the left front of that half wall and put a wall on that right half wall then sealed that vshape with another door opening this is called a air lock then put a another triangle in front of the outside door but flat make sure you turn all this to stone then go to your body make 3 Furances place furnaces in the air lock floor all three will fit there then put your doors on and lock the base Then put the walls on your base and turn stone Now go back to body and make two sheetmeatal doors and two locks Then put the doors in and lock them up then go back to body and loot it all bring back to base make a lrg box and put all your loot inside of it and most will go in tc as well make sure you finish the basic part of the base by putting roof squares make then metal ok after all that basic part done you need to watch a video on how to honey comb your base and pancake the roof Once you got all that done then you can start having fun and loot and deposit the loot at your base Good luck I did subscribe just to see how u do
I loved this, it's funny watching a new player but your vinland saga approach and editing really brought it to another level. Great stuff man, this game is painful and I respect you for going in raw on an active server and doing trial by fire. No one does that for a reason lol

i just gotta say.. first of all respect you played vanilla rust for the first time experience just like myself and just didnt get too pressed for getting killed repeatedly over and over again. sooner or later you will learn the meta which is to run from hemp node to hemp node until you craft a bag then run to outpost immediately while farming road crates and barrels. but anyways i was crying laughing the first five minutes LOL great content reminded me of my first time playing rust :D
Here is a list for the next video : 1. Build a base with at. Least 1 airlock 2. Do at least 2 monuments fully! 3. Craft a tier 3 workbench 4. Fire a rocket. This should be starting easy and getting harder towards the end.

Welcome to the Rust experience. It gets better with teammates though, but this is basically the entire game lol. The rocks have shiny spots where it gives you the most resource. Find the shiny spots!
You can turn up how long you download stuff in the experimental tab in the settings aslong as you have enough storage and a fast enough storage solution

Been playing Rust for a couple of years, but this video really felt like a first-time in Rust experience, i was fully immersed.

there is a settings in game to change the nudity filter to clothes or pixalated
make a bow by finding cloth you can also make bags. make arrows and 3rd party fights
If you don't want to put the big censor thing on everyone you can make it so people wear underware by default.

Type eoka into the crafting menu. It is a very cheap shotgun with 1 bullet, but you can make some amazing plays with it.
Btw if you plan to make more Rust videos, you can turn nudity off in the settings
