    I learned something here that i didn't from 10 other channels on the ARC which is about the monitor level and then the gain level but it seems like noone is talking about the fact that the room correction is more accurate if you're actually sitting in your listening position while calibrating the 21 points. Not one person has mentioned it. Some people go outside their room with a wireless mouse to press it and some stand right in the way while clicking the mouse from their desk. I mean a bunch of "professionals" all across the board can't be that stupid right?! 😅
    And also im curious why you angled the mic inward when moving the position to outer points? Does it matter? Ever calibration I've seen is pointed straight forward because the signal comes in from all reflections of the room from each of the 21 points. Not sure. I guess the rta mic is technically an omni with no off axis rejection. Iunno 😅
    Appreciate the video of course. My ARC didn't work with Windows 8.1 so im building a new studio computer with Windows 10 first because of compatibility issues with 3rd party plugins.
    ✌️

      Thanks for checking out the video. It might be the angle of the camera, but the mic is facing forward in all the positions.

    Hey @audio sorcerer I purchased this exact system and I’m having one issue. After I’m done analyzing, saving and then quitting; I then go to the arc 4 software and it remains neutral with no data from my analysis. It says my results are not being saved to my device. Can u please help me?

    Why are you playing music during the calibration portion? Is that actually music being played in your studio (using music to help calibrate)? Or... are you just doing the RUclips filler music montage thing so we don't have to listen to the digital duck sounds?

    • @AudioSorcerer

      It's background music for the video, not the tuning process.

    I have a few questions. Is the ARC box connected to your PC via usb to upload the correction profile? What is the work flow if you have more than one pair of studio monitors? I have a monitor control station where I select between two different pairs of speakers. I assume you will have different correction profiles for different speaker types.

    • @AudioSorcerer
      @AudioSorcerer  7 месяцев назад

      That is correct. You would need to use the software and load the corresponding correction profile each time you switch monitors.

      Yeah, you basically need one box for each pair. Switching back and forth between the two pairs would be tiring I guess.

      @@VoodooProjectStudiono you only need one box. Just go through the calibration process for each pair of monitors. Save each profile and switch between them as you see fit.

    Is there a rack mount kit?

    Hi, please help me.
    I can't get ARC 4 Analysis to run on 48000 Hz.
    If I set the sample rate to 48000 Hz in the audio interface control panel, after starting the ARC 4 analysis, it resets it to 44100.
    What could be the reason?

      @AudioSorcerer  2 месяца назад

      I'm not sure. Have you tried just doing the analysis at 44100?

    Hi, very interesting unit! I got some questions for the workflow with it: How do you switch between multiple monitors then? Even with a monitor controller, switching the monitors on with the box inbetween doesn’t switch the different captures of every pair of monitors which you saved. So you would have to load it / change it every time you switch monitors, when you want to have the correction of both simultaniously inside the plugin? Or can you use 2 boxes for two different monitors? would that work? When i listen to mixes i like to move fast back and forth between my speakers. That would be impossible with this using one arc box and one monitor controller right? Best regard

      A box per set of monitors would be ideal. That would allow for the best workflow. 👍

    I hope that people understand that a "flat" target is completely incorrect and inaccurate acoustically. You will have to define a target curve based on the loudspeakers directivity index and the rooms reflective and absorptive coefficients . The "flat" response is only for a free space response or anechoic response.

    • @byus6928
      @byus6928 7 месяцев назад

      Maybe that’s why I don’t like it. I picked flat and I def prefer my amphions without it

      Its not so much about liking the sound as it is that your mixes translate to different playback devices accurately. 👍

      You can tilt the curve it in the software and push to the box. I bought one a couple days ago.
