This is so awesome! I just bought a new Rubicon, but came with halo lights, but I plan to put in LED lights with a DRL Ring, but I need to be able to completely turn off the white LED lights when I go on my astronomy outings so that the white LEDs don't affect others eye in complete darkness, so this is such a great setup.

Very cool. I just ordered my first Jeep, a 2021 JL Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited and ordered it with this option. I plan on running a Baja Designs OnyX-6 50” LED Light Bar up top, side lights and rear off road lights too, in addition to a front winch and another OnyX-6 LED Light Bar on the front bumper but one that is slightly shorter than the 50” one mounted to the roof. At least 4 things can be wired into those switches. Excellent design and idea from Jeep.

Great video, very helpful. I just wired two KC HiLites A-pillar lights to the pre-wired Aux panel in my JL, and I'm not sure I could've pulled it off without your video. Two additional comments, though.
    1) I found that wiring the switch hotwire on the KC harness to the AUX wire did NOT work. The harness has it's own main hotwire that connects directly to the battery to power the system. Instead I connected the switch LOAD wire to the AUX wire and presto! Fully functional lights.
    2) The lights pull only 8.5 amps, but I connected them to the 40 amp wire instead of the 15 amp wire because I will also be installing additional lights to my front bull bar. I want to run those lights to the same Aux switch, which would then in total exceed 15 amps, so the higher amp wire was the way to go.
Again, thanks for the great video!

Love that Jeep added these switches. What would make them better is if you could replace the switch buttons with oem style that were labeled "lights", "winch", "compressor", etc. instead of "Aux 1-4".
Really surprised the aftermarket hasn't done that yet.

    • @ColdAddict

If you "score" the heat shrink insulation on the factory wire (#3) & heat it, the insulation will split revealing the connector inside. There may be a bullet connector or a molex pin on the end that you can plug into. P.S. nice wire strippers. At least they aren't the $10 Pico ones.

As long as the total amperage draw of all the lights don't exceed the amps of the switch (15 and 40) all your lights can be wired together on one AUX switch. It is best to stay under 80% total draw (12 and 32) per circuit.
