I have had a few movies that I have reviewed the past few weeks. Sometimes I Think About Dying is a small film with Daisy Ridley, very different kind of film from her and I quite enjoyed it. Monolith is a one person story of a journalist that loses her job, and starts working for a podcast and comes across a story involving a brick. It's so well done I was curious what was going to happen next. Land of Bad with Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe, is a military action film, when it sticks to the action, it's pretty great, the scenes back in the control room, not so much. Last is Ordinary Angels with Hilary Swank, which starts this Friday. I still have to do my review for Lionsgate, but it's a true story of a woman who helps a family that their five year old daughter needs a new liver, she becomes their guardian angel. I hope this movie does well, we need more like this one.

I saw Argylle in theaters Sunday night with my mom and cousin and I really liked it!
I finally got to see Wonka. I recently moved to Pittsburgh I live close to a AMC theater which I went to yesterday for my birthday. Wonka was really good I loved it

I would love to know your thoughts on the big physical media news today. That Disney and Sony inked a deal for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to take over all Disney's physical media releases both new releases and catalog releases going forward. Digital Bits has the full details. "Sony will handle and oversee the actual authoring and compression of discs, that they’ll work with the replicators and packaging vendors, and that they’ll oversee the titles as they go out to the distributors and on to retailers." Basically Disney is getting out of producing all physical media going forward with Sony doing it for them. Disney is just going to focus on VOD/digital and streaming while Sony will handle 4K UHD/Blu Ray/DVD releases. The first film to fall under the new deal where Sony is handling the physical release is the Omen prequel from 20th Century Studios) and hits theaters 4/5. Also with Sony taking over physical media for Disney,, the Disney Movie Club is closing shop. The last day to order from DMC is 5/20 and it close in July.
Pre ordered a few online from Amazon including American pie in 4K and the abyss and true lies and aliens in 4K and Beverly Hills cop collection in 4K and super Mario 4K from the 90s and saw madame web it was terrible

@@DeanWinchester69 I, myself, own over 700 movies on dvd, bluray, uhd, and vhs. I could probably watch all of that in my lifetime.
Surprised you didn't mention anything about the announcement that Disney has decided to pull the plug on The Disney Movie Club. The last day to order from them is May 20, 2024.

I think they passed the physical media distribution to Sony.
