Excellent presentation, especially for guys new to all of this mid boggling archery shenanigans!!😂 you cut down the learning and economic curve for the newbies, some of us had to learn thru trial and error with both time, experience and money!!
Good content. We are so deep into the technicals of this sport, I think the very basics of basics are often overlooked for the new guys with no mentor but want to try it. I’m talking basics like adjusting poundage, waxing strings, basic pin setting etc.
Many of us are advanced in the technical side that it must look so intimidating for newbies to even listen to verbal terms we use or concepts we ponder on within this sport and they may not even know what in the world we are talking about.
Good job! I like it! 🤙🏽

I’m also a standard HIT insert guy for my axis 5mm. But this year Easton came out with new stainless collars that are going to be a game changer for making the front end a little stronger.

Have you had any issues with standard hit in the past? First year for me trying it

@@toothofthearrowbroadheads no, other than when I hit the rebar in my 3D deer target it will bend the insert wether I use brass or aluminum hit inserts, and toast the arrow.

Great video. Ive had to junk 1 arrow per dozen because of an Easton aluminum hit insert because of impacting the structure of a 3D target out of a entry level bow. (Easton axis 340 @70lbs for 240fps)
I upgraded to a faster pse and just immediately switched to rip tkos with 25 grain stainless hit inserts with 25 grain collars (iron will)

Thanks for watching and commenting! There are unfortunately not many inserts that will hold up to rebar in a 3D!

Standard aluminum inserts and Easton's hit insert system are slowly becoming a thing of the past and for good reason. The hit system can be OK if you add some sort of protective collar or outsert over the tip of the arrow.

I haven't heard of many issues with the standard aluminum HIT, but I haven't had much experience with them myself either. Coming off of 4 years of using a two piece system, I will be curious to see how I feel about the aluminum HIT come December of this year. One way or another, I will talk about how they worked for me through the season! Thanks for watching

Has anybody used Contact-Archery's Micro cap component? Contact used to be Method, and Vector before that, I believe. The Micro-Cap is a one piece collar-outsert combination. I haven't used anything else. Bought a dozen arrows last year from Method, and a new dozen this year from "Contact". Happy with their setup. I don't see any problems yet, very solid. Anyone have any? Anything wrong with this Micro-Cap?

Anything that doesn't have an internal post can cause issues. I would be wary of the aluminum option, but the titanium option should be okay for most applications
