    Incredible beautiful the young girl singing in the very beginning of this video...pure talent!!! Just a person that knows about Music can evaluate her perfomance,Congratulations to her and her Music teacher. I also appreciated what Mr. Hentze,the fisherman said very seiously "...but we must have always RESPECT FOR THE SEA ! A trully fisherman!!! (I wrote this lines exactly when my PORTUGAl with Cristiano Ronaldo & C0. are playing against Feroe Island in its National Stadium,in FI capital. All the best to the People of Feroe Island!!!

      Really? You didn't notice the introduction featured a child who couldn't sing, singing, and a woman who couldn't play piano, playing piano? You didn't notice they weren't Faroese, or even European? They both share the same ancestry as the people who filmed this. Which begs the question; why were they included?

    the Faroe Islands were and are Norwegian .... damnark has never had anything to do with the islands ... that the Faroe Islands have not applied to norway when we all know that they historically belong to norway is a riddle.

    • @Rimrock300
      @Rimrock300 4 года назад

      Why the misinformation:) Faroe Island is possible a bit more close to Norway (language, location naturally, culture) compared to Denmark, but some historical events made things the way they are. The Danes are fine people, so no big differences I guess. Looking back at it, I guess Norway is not to sad about they didn't had to follow up and support Greenland, Iceland and Faroe Islands all those years before independence. Faroe Islands has a exiting landscape, sure like to visit some day.

    I would kill to live in the Faroes. The problem is, if you don't speak the language you're pretty much screwed unless you want to work a blue collar job, which I am overqualified for.

    • @oluftheexplorer9476
      @oluftheexplorer9476 7 лет назад +6

      Actually, mostly everyone here speaks English, so that's not really a problem. Take the shipyard for example, most of the welders are Polish, and they get by fine with their half-assed broken English.

      @protolexis 7 лет назад

    • @mobydick696

      I am afraid you have to forget your degree and be prepared to start again from the bottom and once you have learned the language and assimilated, you will have a better chance to use your degree...voice of experience :-)

    • @protolexis
      @protolexis 7 лет назад +3

      You're exactly right, I've spoken to countless ex-pats who live there and they all said that. However, I don't plan on moving for at least another 1-2 years (unless Trump wins; that would expedite my leaving) so if I can get a firm grasp of the language then I actually believe I can continue to work in my current profession. The real problem is, all the resource to learn Faroese are complete shit.
