Id love to hear you ask people, "How scary is the prospect of coming off of fentanyl/opiates/meth/crack/alcohol?" As a recovering addict, the thought of having to detox (usually non medically) is what kept me using. Those times waking up realizing "I'm in detox, and it's about to get bad" we're so terrifying that I just kept using one more day....and that mentality kept me sick for 15 years. You are a legend Mark.
U can do it..u just have to want to
To be honest with you. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’m talking fent here which I didn’t even know was fent. I’ve been shooting dope for a decade and when I went to detox in July I tested positive for all fent. Same as my husband. We were getting sick from the fent. We were done. It wasn’t even good euphoria it made you pass out and want more when you wake up. If you do.
I was done. Cuts weren’t healing. I stopped being able to hit. I knew what would happen if We continued 4 months clean on the 3rd. The withdrawals didn’t even start hard until the second week and I walked through hell for 2 months. You need to get it in your head how sick you’re sick of being sick. I started using shrooms around a month in and it gave me hope. I micro dose now. And I pray for this man. We knew twins with a very similar back story as this man who are both dead because of fentanyl.
I agree...Recovery is all about Fear. I got 4 years on the 6th. Hope you are safe as well!
Luke, thank you for sharing your story. You are on the right path now. Positive vibes!
U can actually die trying to come/get off of fentanyl, Xanax & alcohol.
Travis, don’t give up. If there’s life, there’s hope. Your family loves you and the ppl from the internet are rooting for you!
I have two younger brothers and we have all struggled with addiction and mental health since early childhood. Everyone is clean now and our lives finally seem to be working out and I can only hope Travis can get clean and make new memories with his family. Travis, if you read this, good luck man.
Keep striving for greatness may your life be full of happiness
Good stuff

My daughter has been hooked on fentanyl for the last few years now, she was a great mother of my two grandchildren,a hard worker and a very loving and pleasant individual, we have not heard from her for quite some time now. This drug is a epidemic and destroys good people. So sad for those who get addicted.
I’m so sorry. Hope for better days ahead
Sorry Steve. Sorry for your daughter. Why do people suffering with addiction disappear and not communicate? Praying for your daughter.
Fentynol is a mother's nightmare and personal hell. I'm praying you get a good call.
@@dannymcintyre3819 To get closer to the substance or access to it.. Its the saddest thing I hope she is alright and figures it out.. There is ALWAYS hope…
Get her Ibogaine treatment stat. Talk therapy barely ever works but Ibogaine has a high success rate and takes all withdrawal away
Seems like an honest, nice guy. I hope he finds strength to get well for himself and his family before its too late.

This guy is so likable. Travis - I wish you some peace and I do hope you get clean. ❤
We use fentanyl in veterinary medicine all the time. It’s used as an analgesic. We used to use fentanyl latches but because of the abuse potential, by pet owners, who would pull the patches off and suck the fentanyl out of the patch. Then claim the dog removed it and needed a new one. So, we don’t use them any more. We use it now primarily as an iv for post-operative pain management.
Seems like a decent guy and has a chance to still break free from this terrible affliction
He sound like jerry Seinfeld
I had cousin named Travis, died from a fent laced press pill at 35. It was an accident and the dude he was getting high with survived. I'm no stranger to addiction, opiates included, but I was lucky enough to get out before the fentanyl bullshit. Please take care of yourself Travis, your family loves you.

"It takes away your passion". That says it all. Praying for him. This guy has so much potential. He really needs to follow in his older brother's footsteps.
I really hope this guy follows his brothers footsteps.
If not, I really hope his brother gets down there and drags him out.
Best wishes, I hope he gets there!
Travis, you can do it. Please get that process started. You're a kind person and deserve to live a sober life.
Good morning SWU fam’! It’s just after 3:00 a.m here in Northern California where it is currently a sweet 54*. Wherever this should find you, I hope that You are Safe, Comfortable, & Well. Good Vibes & Mad Love sent Your way! ❤️🔥

Travis is a great guy! The first time i met him was in high school. He was younger so hung out with younger kids but we always went to the same parties and i said to myself, this kid is going somewhere! He was driven, in top physical shape worked out with him at our high school gym. He was an amazing football player. We all thought he’d be NFL. I’m praying for you Travis! I’m going to tell you something if you’re reading this. Today is the day you will get clean! You will quit today! You will put this behind you! You will heal! You are loved and we all want the best for you!!! Here’s to your new journey! Apply that force that draws you in the other way to go to the gym or meditate or do yoga! Let that be the switch that turns you the other way!!! God bless you my brother!!!
Well said Aaron! Travis IS great and we're all here for you Travis. We miss you and we ALL love you bro!

when Travis started talking about and invisioning himself and his brother playing ball again on the beach like they did when they we're younger made me tear up. Hes closer than he was before this God appointment with Mark.
Thank you, Mark💎❤

I don't think he really wants to go back to square living, if there is an option without drug induced, I hope they all find. Living within the system is problematic!
Truly wish the best for Travis. I hope he never gives up and can stop putting off getting help 🙏🏼❤️💪🏼
Honestly he looks pretty good for 43 despite everything
Handsome, articulate, smart and so full of promise. Addiction is pure evil. Hopefully, his brother will inspire him to get clean.

Travis, I can tell you have a good soul. It radiates. I’m so sorry you’ve gone down the path of addiction. You seem to have a really kind heart. You have a whole other life ahead of you. Take your brother up on his offer and get sober. I know you can. I believe in you 🙏🏻❤️

Ampavoo, are you having a bad day?
@@leneo1731No. I think my statement is pretty easily seen and heard and felt. Throughout this entire interview.

@@ampavoo what a stupid comment. Maybe you should grow up.
My child hood friend overdosed on fentanyl yesterday! That issh is literally play Russian roulette with life and death😢
So happy I got clean. I know it’ll sound weird, but I used oxycodone to get off fentanyl and not have any withdrawals (this is what kept me and others from getting sober). Did those for about 3 days and stopped. I’m 8 months sober and have never used for longer than 3 months. I would do a month here and be sober for 2-3 weeks and back to it for 2-3 months and repeat. Trust me, the grass is definitely greener on the sober side. I enjoy the little things in life so much more now. I hate it, but am glad I went through it. Made me a stronger person
This is said plenty about those interviewed on this channel, but, Travis, you really do seem like a good human being.
Travis, unlike so many people we see on this channel, you seem to have good mental health. You can have a good life, with your family, but you have to do the work. I hope you will. My best to you. Thanks for your work, Mark.
This really hits home…same first name, same hometown, same addiction…Feels like he’s interviewing me
Travis is really a handsome guy! I would have never thought he was a drug addict. Hope he gets clean and starts a family of his own. Best of luck.
This one broke my heart. Great interview and thank you mark for the work you do. Incredible.
You are still alive. Get out of that town and get clean, you can do this, do it today, you don't need one more high, you got this! Make your parents proud!
You got this Travis!! Keep moving forward to the days of enjoying that feeling you felt being sober! Focus on your self well being and put all your energy in to that. Rooting for you!
This was a great Interview. Wish him another way of life while he's still alive ♥️
It’s sad that so many only get sober in prison. We need to help people more 😢 breaks my heart when he said he wants to throw football with his brother like when they were kids. Good luck to you man ❤
I saw something in him that gave me the impression, he's going to do this successfully. You're almost there bro, I see a champion spirit in your whole energy field. The pain is palpable and you're in touch with yourself and very aware. Go do that victory dance with your brother, use that strong spirit and live your truth!

Thanks for keeping it green Travis! If I can recover you can One day at a time! Come to NYC we have Medicaid and treatment! Do it before it takes you I buried both my Brothers to h in recovery! I know it's possible! God loves you remember that coming from a fellow addict who watched my parents bury children, now an only child and didn't pick up. I will pray for you. You can Recover.

Would it be less shameful if he was ugly?
I admire your optimistic views.
But I don't believe hugging a tree will help Travis.
Maybe I'm just being negative.
Girl Travis is dope fiend unfortunately
To look at this guy, he doesn’t have the typical look most drug addicts have. I do hope he finds his own road to recovery. He still has his looks and has so much potential to lead a great life. I pray he finds his deliverance.
He has the eyes and mannerism

Travis, I can see you in your future helping coach other kids/teens in football and keep them on the right path - be a part of their bright successful football future just like you should of had. I can see so much sadness in your eyes and I hope that you dig deep and seek help and support. I’ve microdosed psilocybin mushrooms to help with mental health issues…maybe it may help you? I wish you nothing but the best. I would love to see a follow up Mark - I want to see Travis get better as he has so much to offer and live for. ❤
Stop promoting another drug to an addict. It’s not necessary for this man . In fact it’s not even good information. We are here to promote sobriety. Not more addiction . Not misinformation.
Very enlightning. I am wishing him luck. Thanks
Hang in there brother you will find your way. You will find your time to shine. You have a great story and I don’t see it ending now. Keep your head up and remember one day at a time.

Such a good looking guy with a big heart...it's sad how strong the addiction force is...I hope one day he can overcome it. He's worth more than that evil force.
You got this, Travis. You're a good guy who can easily beat this. Get away from Skid Row and find a good doctor who'll prescribe suboxone. No withdrawing from fentanyl and you can eventually taper off of that in time. You'll also have a clear mind.

Do it Travis. You know what you gotta do & what your soul is telling you to do. God is good🙌Bless you man❤
So sad. I knew so many people that came from decent or good homes and were smart and had so many doors open for them, but chose drugs. Sadly, none of them lived passed our mid 20’s. I hope Travis can get clean and reopen some of those doors that were open to him before.
