Have you tried the thermal version of retrobrite? basically the same as you've done it, just in a container in a hot water bath at about 150F. It does what UV/solar does in hours and more consistently. amazing for keycaps. though, good luck fitting a case in there.
Hi! I just had a quick question about the fk-555. Do you know by any chance if it works with a passive din to ps/2 to usb converter? Cheers! Great cleanup btw!!
Yes it does! But somehow, mine work well for 5 min on AT (regular passive adapter), after start to do some free-games after that, so I use it exclusively on XT mod with an active converter... My board is maybe bugged...
Super late comment, but do you remember exactly how much wax you used for the mod? Jezzuz's video mentioned 1 gram, but all these wax mod videos seem to just approximate it and I'm kinda afraid to overdo it. Also, how hot was the water you used for wax modding the stems themselves? Thanks in advance! Awesome video.
fthe fk555 is exelent with the only complaint being that its got printed caps rather than doublshot/dyesubs i got mine in like nit condition so never had to do any of this but its a great board
Really great! But the steams was really bad, so before the wax mod they where 3/10, now they are about 7/10… But it’s way better! Just removing the biding worth it!
Amazing video in every aspect, thank you!
Thanks!! :)
Very well done 👍
Thanks!

Your right! The only real downside of this keyboard are the keycaps, the print on mines start to disappear…
Nice, how did the wax mod turn out?
Really great! But the steams was really bad, so before the wax mod they where 3/10, now they are about 7/10… But it’s way better! Just removing the biding worth it!
