Have you ever considered just using an endmill to remove any millscale and to flatten/true-up your knives with, wouldn't it be less time consuming then using that automated bench grinding table? Cool thing about using an end mill is you can save the metal chips for a Damascus knife.

You can use your Bridgeport to push pins or whatever into a part. Just make a set of push pins. And tolerance your parts within the range. I understand that for 1 pc its not viable. But if you use certain dia o.d and I.d regularly it works awesome. Cool toy.
